I came in with the expectation of buying a new Toyota Camry V6 and left with a used 2009 Toyota Camry V6. Throughout the entire process they both were constantly looking out for my best interests. Even when we missed a scratch on the "used" vehicle, they went ahead and fixed it, as they promised with the other needed touch ups. A year and a half ago, I ALMOST bought a car from Don - my fault, lost my job after ordering a Prius, - and even though he had put in my car order, Don was really understanding when I called to cancel. You get yourself together and take care of your family. Call me when you need that car." Fast forward to last week when I called Don. He remembered me, asked how I was doing and how he could help. I told him my situation and he recommended a lease. A week later I walked into Koons Tyson's Toyota, Don sat me down, showed me the paper work, pricing, and info about leasing (all of this I had researched and agreed fully with his recommendations). I never felt pressured into anything. When I asked him to explain something again, he slowed down and made sure I was following him at each step. When we had completed that portion, he introduced me to Suhail Katan to finalize the financing. Suhail was as expert and patient as Don, explaining and re-explaining the lease options. At one point he changed the contract back & forth 3 times to show me the differences in the payments, mileage allotments and servicing needs. Again, Suhail never rushed or pressured me into a decision. The decision was always mine to make. In less than 2 hours, I was in, out, and driving a new Camry that I felt great about. Sales associate Leo Bouchard of Koons Tyson provided me with an excellent car buying experience! I requested quotes through the internet and picked out a Corolla S from another dealership. Almost all the responses I receive were requests like, "what options are you looking for" or "what can I do for you" or "what monthly payment are you looking at." Not Leo Bouchard though, he zeroed in on the type of car I was requesting in the color I had selected and he gave me a deal I could not refuse. Leo is someone who reads his customer. I didn't want to answer all those other questions and wasn't even sure I wanted a car. By the time I got to the lot, I knew that the black Corolla S was the one that I wanted but was very nervous. Leo walked over the lot with me a couple times so I could look and think. He was so patient and I didn't feel any pressure. The service center was also a concern since I had been treated badly at a Manassas Toyota dealership. Leo explained (without me asking) how so many people come to this service center because of the excellent service. I arrived before 7p.m. and the sale wasn't complete until 11:30p.m. primarily because of my indecisiveness. Leo was soooo patient and he never gave me the feeling that I was a bother. When I left even the sales manager, who was also there at the dealership was very gracious. But that is not all. I left my garage door opener in my old car. I called Leo at midnight and he came all the way back (over 14 miles) to the dealership so I could get the garage opener to my house. He did not show the slightest irritation at being called back. I am still amazed. Sam Robles, the finance man was also awesome. He gave me a better interest rate than my bank, which was phonominal! He explained all the warranty options and did not apply any pressure. It took me awhile to decide what I needed and I was peppering Sam with questions and challenging him on every issue. He was extremely knowlegable and answered all of my questions and concerns in a way that I could understand. I know this is a long review but it was just one of the best car buying experiences. I will definately go back to Leo at Koons for my next Toyota. More
I recently moved from Los Angeles to Northern Virginia due to my job and was looking to trade in my 2008 Limited 2WD 4Runner for a 2011 Limited 4WD 4Runner. I contacted several Toyota dealerships within a 50 mile radius and was very pleased with Leo Bouchard at Koons Tyson's Toyota. During our initial call, he was honest and knew exactly what I was looking for. As soon as I walked in the door, Leo had a 4Runner brochure on the table, had picked out several Limited 4Runner's on the lot and began working out the pricing. I know what I wanted and was willing to walk out of the dealership if I had to. Leo was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and precise. Financing was a breeze thanks to Suhail Katan. I was in and out of Koons in a couple of hours. Best car buying experience to date and this is my 6th car. We were looking for a new 4Runner with specific options, and I researched prices/options within the MD/VA area, until I contacted the Internet sales representative (Don Evans), backed up by his manager (Mit and I researched prices/options within the MD/VA area, until I contacted the Internet sales representative (Don Evans), backed up by his manager (Mithkal Asfour); they met the best model price I could find. We keep our vehicles for 10+ years, regularly maintaining them, so it was important that their service department was reputable, capable, and convenient (to eastern Loudoun county). I knew what I wanted, and Don Evans secured an incoming vehicle for me before arrival to port. He kept up ongoing email contact for 2-3 weeks until we could buy; he discussed warranty and maintenance options only when I asked. He was always friendly and informative, with no pressure. Our financial representative was Alex Hessami, and he explained various options for extended maintenance and warranty, which were important considering that we keep our vehicles for 10+ years with moderately high mileage. He answered all questions, and never pressured us. We got a very good loan where there was no special financing (partly luck, partly due to excellent credit). My advice to any buyer is be careful of your credit, to do all your homework first, know what you want and need, go to a major dealer after comparing ... and everything will be much smoother. That said, ... I was very happy to deal with Don Evans. He gave me what I expected. More
I would like to say that Don Evans is by far the best sales person I have ever dealt with. I had been looking for a new Toyota Takoma for 2 weeks and had visited several dealerships in Northern Va. Koons Tyson Toyota (Don Evans) was absolutely the best. From the time you walked in the door the enter staff of the dealership was great. I would recommend this dealership to anyone and especially Don Evans. He is definately an asset to Toyota. He is personable, and takes the time to answer to answer all your questions and explain all the features of your new vehicle. More
We purchased a used vehicle here the end of July. We had secured financing from our credit union and told the salesman this from the start. We advised we were in no way interested in discussing their finan secured financing from our credit union and told the salesman this from the start. We advised we were in no way interested in discussing their financing and there would be no need to run our credit. Our salesman said he agreed and talked to the manager and our credit would not be run. After waiting 45 minutes to finalize the deal and do the payment we started questioning why it was taking so long. One employee got in our faces and advised it was going to take at least 15 minutes. He was the most rude person I have ever dealt with at a dealer. I went out to my personal vehicle to wait and found one of their employees LEANING ON MY CAR. (HOW RUDE!) When the finance guy finally took care of our paperwork he gave us copies of our credit report/score. I questioned why this was done and he told me "it's the law, we have to run your credit since Sept. 11". LIE. I have bought 5 vehicles since 2001 and no other dealer has pulled this. When he kept up this lie I called the salesman into the office and he told us again, in front of the finance guy, that he had talked to the manager and he agreed there was no reason to run our credit and it shouldn't have been done. I have been contacted by a "customer relations" employee who advised me I misunderstood what the finance guy said about it being the law. My husband and I are both college educated people who are not hard of hearing so I hardly think we are so stupid that we could have "misunderstood" what we were told. The cust. relations woman told me that our salesman had no right to tell us that our reports wouldn't be pulled and that he did not talk to a manager. I called him immediately after hanging up from her and he told me he did indeed talk to the manager. So, they are passing the buck and being extremely misleading. BEWARE! If you choose to shop here DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING OR FILL OUT ANYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH CREDIT. Even when they tell you they will not run your credit, they will. More
