Hid car price and ran hard credit inquiry Went to the dealership with firm budget. Clearly told the dealers what I needed. The dealer who showed me a car that he said would fit my needs would not tell me the price of the vehicle. He said he wasn't the finance guy?? I drove the vehicle and again asked about the price. Instead they requested some info for what they assured me was a SOFT pull. After waiting an hour I received the good news that was financed for twice my monthly budget on a car that, as it turns out, was 4k over my firm budget. Later I was informed that they did a HARD pull on my credit without informing me, damaging my credit. I purchased a car within my budget elsewhere. More
