I drove 2.5 hours to purchase a certified prius. Only one photo was available on their website; so I requested a description of the condition. Haythen's response: "there is only 1 scratch on the car, it one photo was available on their website; so I requested a description of the condition. Haythen's response: "there is only 1 scratch on the car, it’s in very good condition". I was also told all floor mats were there, and the interior was great. I asked for an evaluation of my trade over the phone and they gave me a figure that they could "work out". I was on the lot two and a half hours later to see a car with numerous dings and scratches and not a single floor mat. Before I sat in the car he pointed out that the cosmetic plastic trim missing from the steering column was cracked and that it had "just happened now". During my disappointing test drive we found weird noises coming from the rear of the car and the "cracked plastic" on steering column allowed the steering wheel and column to move up and down while driving because it would not lock into any position. I opened the hatch when I returned to the dealership to find the "cracked trim" not actually cracked and filled with screws and hardware on the floor. I'm not sure why I didn't walk away at that point, but I sat down with the salesman to allow him to say that my vehicle was worth 3k less than they quoted me on the phone. The condition of my vehicle was as described and is in better condition than what they were selling. I would not recommend doing business with this dealership. More
I bought a pre-owned Rav 4 in February and obtained a loan through a 3rd party. It is now July and the third party has not received the title from Toyota, therefore the interest rate on the loan is going loan through a 3rd party. It is now July and the third party has not received the title from Toyota, therefore the interest rate on the loan is going up tremendously. I've called Koons 3 times and spoken with the manager every time. Each time I've been assured that the title was sent. It was not and now the time is up. This whole experience has been a NIGHTMARE. Additionally, after I took ownership of the car, a part fell out and the service to replace it was really slow. There was a mark on the dashboard that Koons said they would clean up and never did. In short, the saleman are lazy and dishonest and the service horrendous in every possible way. Avoid this place at all costs. I am now searching the web to post at every available site with reviews to make sure no one else goes here. It was that bad. More
Sales lied and missed deadline after deadline that they set. The price changed, the terms changed, just a horrible experience. Parts didn't order everything and the parts came in almost a week late. set. The price changed, the terms changed, just a horrible experience. Parts didn't order everything and the parts came in almost a week late. Service was slow and when they knocked down the price it was the same as the quote. Only then they did knock down additionally. This dealership overall just has some huge issues. Their sales people are liars and will do or say anything to get you to buy from them but don't know how to follow through. There is no leadership or management that I could find as when I asked for the General Manager nobody knew their name or where their office might be. Just horrible. I eventually bought from Westminster Toyota who drove the almost two hour drive to pick me up so we could make the sale. AVOID KOONS OF ARLINGTON AT ALL COSTS More
High pressure dealership. If you don't get any pressure, you're probably overpaying. Some of the sales people don't even do anything for you. They focus on letting the higher managers force the issue befo you're probably overpaying. Some of the sales people don't even do anything for you. After painfully selecting with the sales person the car we wanted (not in stock but available the following day) we signed our deal, the financing, insurance and everything, including a document indicating we wanted (not in stock but available the following day) we signed our deal, the financing, insurance and everything, including a document indicating 60 miles as the current mileage of the new car. The next day we were presented a "new" car with 900 miles in the odometer. The explanation provided was that a manager used a little bit the car for some days. With all our travel plans for the fourth of july arranged considering the car, there was, unfortunately, little room left for choice. We took the car as it was, with spots of grease on the mats, something looking like stikers badly removed on the inside and a nice cd rewritable of party music in the cd player (yes, it is true). Nedless to say, they did not accept my idea of letting me drive another new car for "some day" and not more than 900 miles, even though it was a negligible detail when was my turn to accept the same deal. A very disappointing experience, not to be repeated. More
