I had an extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience shopping for a used car at Koons Arlington Toyota and I would never recommend anyone buy a car from this dealership! My initial experi experience shopping for a used car at Koons Arlington Toyota and I would never recommend anyone buy a car from this dealership! My initial experience with my sales rep and the test drive were great, so I scheduled an outside mechanic to examine a used car before I bought it. Koons even drove the car to the mechanic for me, which I appreciated. But less than TEN MINUTES after the mechanic called me with the clean bill of health for the car, Koons Arlington Toyota called me to tell me that they sold the car to someone else!! I checked my phone log, and it was literally eight minutes between when I received the inspection results (for which I paid $130 out of pocket) and when Koons sold the car to someone else. You want to know what Koons Arlington Toyota said? “We can’t hold cars for anyone.” Understandable, but I had an appointment scheduled that afternoon to purchase a car that I just paid to have inspected! I cannot imagine a scummier business practice. They did not even give me a courtesy call to let me know someone else was interested, or give me an opportunity to purchase it first. To top it off, my complaints to the dealership manager were ignored and unanswered. Just stay away from Koons Arlington Toyota and you’ll be better off! More

We had noted on line that Koons is one of the top 20 places to work in the DC metro area. That drew us to the dealership. The condition of the car is like new. Koons had prepped the car well. It is like new. I recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a used car. More

Way too careless about customer service and basic consideration, even for a car dealer. After a week trying to buy a car from koons Toyota Arlington used cars I gave up. 1. Called to ask about a car on a Monday. Scheduled visit for Saturday. Called again Saturday to confirm the car was there, which they did. The car wasn’t. 2. Did not allow my mechanic to do a prepurchase inspection. Second visit (Sunday night) and the car was there. It had damage reported in carfax. I ask if I could get the car inspected ASAP in their place and committed to buy as soon as the mechanic rules out any major problem. They asked me to delay it until Wednesday. Arranged the mechanic visit for Wednesday. Call to confirm and they told me there was people going to see the car next day and I better buy it. Rearranged the mechanic to go ASAP. Dealer did not coordinate with mechanic. Mechanic arrives Tuesday morning, after waiting some time due to other clients seeing the car. Starts inspection and dealer asks him to stop because other people want to see the car. The mechanic has to go. The day after there is a lot of lack of coordination to get the mechanic there. It was too much for me so stop trying to buy the car. Tony and Joseph there had good “bedside manners”, but the overall management of the transaction was inaceptable. Wasted my time, my mechanics and theirs (they could have sold me the car a week ago, and is still in the catalogue) More
