Appointments mean nothing. Had 11:00am appt for oil change/tire rotation. Arrived 20 mins early. Consultant said, after being reminded that I had an appt, "no problem, you go to head of line". What a joke! I finally took my vehicle and cancelled the appt at 11:30am after it sat in the bay for 50 minutes and not moved an inch. I purchased the vehicle there 2 years ago new. What a travesty this place has turned into. They no longer are my "preferred" dealership for anything. I will now try Koehne for my warranty work and normal service. More
Service has gone from good/very good to poor in the last 1-1.5 years. We've dealt exclusively with Kool since moving to the area 10 years ago, bought 2 new vehicles from Sales and all our maintenance / rep 1-1.5 years. We've dealt exclusively with Kool since moving to the area 10 years ago, bought 2 new vehicles from Sales and all our maintenance / repair needs have gone through their Service department. We are taking our business elsewhere after our last experience working with service advisor (Derek Drudy). Brought in our Traverse for work on suspension. Scheduled a Tuesday service appointment over the phone - minor issues during drop off but not a big deal. Normally get a call in the afternoon with a diagnosis / estimate - 4pm rolls around, nothing - I call expecting to hear cost and time for pick up....Vehicle had not even been looked at - things were backed up etc etc. Surprising and a little disappointing (expressed that I would have expected a phonecall informing me of the delay) but told them to hold on to it and service it the next day. Wednesday rolls around, no communication from Kool and same deal - I had to follow up in the afternoon and the vehicle had still not been looked at. Totally understand being backed up - what is unacceptable is the lack of communication and their expectation that its ok to hold on to a customer's vehicle indefinitely. PS - went to pickup the vehicle the next morning - keys were misplaced, there was a mixup etc. Spoke with service manager (Deb Cain) who, to her credit, listened to the complaint but did absolutely nothing to try to change my mind or win back the business - besides let me know how busy they were and hence backed up. I get it, they are busy and doing well even though new car inventory is low - they can probably afford to lose customers. Just letting others know what to expect. I have had great experiences with Keith Remeltz, Jay Ribbens (Sales) as well as Stacey and Ben in Service - so there was a time when things were very good. More
They quoted me a $2000 repair. I took it to a family friend who's been a mechanic for 30 years and he said that wasn't the case. Get a second opinion! These guys take advantage of peoples general lack of car knowledge and tell them whatever they want. Get a second opinion. Sure fricken glad I did. More
I had my tires rotated, and they did not reset my tire pressure monitor sensor. I blew a tire because the monitor told me it was a different tire than it was. The one that blew never showed as being low, in fact the one it showed as low, I tried to fill numerous times. I contacted them and was basically told I wasn't telling the truth, and was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about. I will never do business there again. More
Bought a certified used equinox 2013–soon the check engine light kept coming on. They kept fixing it—usually to the tune of 200–300.00. Then in 6 weeks the same problem occurred again. Then the car engine light kept coming on. They kept fixing it—usually to the tune of 200–300.00. Then in 6 weeks the same problem occurred again. Then the car started using unusual amounts of oil. We found out that this defect occurred in all the equinoxes of that year. When we wanted to trade the car in, they devalued it because of the oil problem. They could sell us a car even though they knew about the problem. But they refused to help when there was a problem. We were long time Kool customers, but we will never trade there again!!! More
Excellent! Did not make appt for oil change (scheduling was about two weeks out)-however, employee told us to just "come on in"--we had the time. Had one vehicle done within 25 minutes, went home, brought our 2nd vehicle in. We returned home, received call within 10 minutes that 2nd car was done. This included topping off fluids and rotating tires! Within one hour BOTH cars were done! Amazing work, great people! Not always convenient to get oil change, tire rotation, etc., (Usually drop car off night before, pick up next day....) But, this experience, by far, was painless and absolutely convenient! We were thrilled! More
