Sergey was professional and extremely courteous and even made the extra effort to make a follow-up call days after the purchase. Maureen, who helped with the financing, was knowledgable in her area and extremely helpful. The car was delivered to me in pristine condition. Overall, this rates as one of the best dealer experiences I've ever had. More
My search for a 2012 Legacy GT in Silver took a few months. I buy my cars, don't lease them so it's an important decision for me. I visited most of the dealerships on long island to scope things out and thus dealt with a lot of sales people. My first impression of Koeppel was when I called them and spoke with Maureen. She was super friendly and helpful. Right from the start I was getting a good impression. I then visited the dealership and dealt with Sergey. He was the most knowledgable person i had dealt with to date. Most other dealerships weren't familiar with the GT specs. as he was. It was a pleasure dealing with him. At most other dealerships you get the pressure sell from the salesperson who then calls over the general manager who puts even more pressure on you to buy the car. Sergey was the opposite, he wanted me to make the decision on my own and just assisted me when i had questions. It was a great experience. I recommend the drive to long island city even if you live on long island or the tri-state area. It's worth the trip. I know this sounds like a lot of bull#*%$ but it's not, i dealt with that at the other dealships and was tired of it. In the end signing on the dotted line for my new 2012 GT was a no brainer. More
I went in to Koeppel to look at the 2012 Subarus, after having owned one for 12 years. I dealt with Sergey,and it was a positive experience from the beginning. He was really knowlegeable and answered all my questions, and stuck with me when I was not sure and came back twice. I feel like he also did a lot to make sure my price point was met. When I actually picked up the car, I appreciated the time he took to show me how everything worked, set up my bluetooth and make sure my every request was met. I'd give the whole experience a 5 on everything, and only gave it a 4 on price because I am very tough customer--even with that, he did really, really well on the price for me. More

Jimmy was welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. I say welcoming because he was not pushy or intimidating like other sales men I have had experiences with. I bought a 2006 Audi from this dealer in November, 2011. The key remotes didn't work but I thought it was just a matter of batteries, which I replaced the day I bought it. The next day I tried to program the remotes but was unable to. I took the car to two Audi dealers but they were unable to program them either. I was advised to have the car's computer electronics diagnosed, which I did, and learned there was an intermittent fault in the electronic ignition module which was the root of the problem, and repair costs would be significant. I called Koeppel Subaru and at first they just denied that there was any problem, but then they agreed for me to bring the car in and have it checked out by their people, which I did. Their service man acknowledged to me he sees the problem but it not something he could deal with, and the car should be repaired at an Audi Dealer. The dealership manager, Mr. Fama, who was not present when the car was checked out, later stated that he was told there was nothing wrong with the car and therefore they would not pay for any repairs. The intermittent fault in the ignition system, when it appears, causes the car to not be able to start. This occurs 25-40% of the time, requiring repeated turning the ignition on and off. The shop that diagnosed the problem said that eventually the system will fail and the car will be inoperable and so it needs to be repaired. My next step is with the NYS Attorney General. More
This dealership pulled a bait and switch on me. After negotiating with Jimmy on a deal on a Forester, I was told that the car was not available. I would not recommend this dealership. More
I, accompanied by my wife, recently purchased a 2011 Subaru Imprezza Outback Sport at Koeppel on Northern Boulevard, Long Island City. The staff was very helpful in providing us with the information that resulted in that purchase. Prior to the purchase, we visited the dealership several times to look at the various models. Sergey, who negotiated the sale, was always accessible, courteous, respectful, and patient in answering our various questions. He did not pressure us and focused on satisfying our wishes and needs in selecting a model. He provided the opportunity to test drive the model that we were interested in and was very helpful in obtaining the desired color we requested. The staff at the dealership created a welcoming atmosphere prior to the purchase. This atmosphere was continued subsequent to the purchase, by John and Karen when the car was brought to the Service Department in order to add splash guards which had been previously ordered. We anticipate the same welcoming atmosphere in the future and highly recommend this dealership to anyone interested in purchasing a Subaru. More
The service manager and his staff went to great lengths to ensure that I paid as little as possible for my very significant repairs, getting the company to pick up nearly $3,000 of the cost. They did this by persuading Subaru to cover the cost under recalls that did not extend to my model year. The car was delivered on time and I even received a follow up call to make sure everything was working well. I can honestly say I've never encountered such good service. More
I walked in and I was welcomed by Sal. I told Sal I was interested in sedans (just looking not buying). After talking with Sal and the way he treated me by answering all my questions and concerns I decided to purchase a 2011 Impreza. He also introduced me to Jimmy. Jimmy asked if all my questions were answered by Sal and if I had additional questions. You can tell the staff works very close together to satisfy the customer. I met with Jose, the finance coordinator. He was very helpful and extremely informative about all of the offers. He was very patient while I took some time to crunch the numbers. My Overall experience was great. I would recommend this Dealership 100%. John More
