Please avoid the service dept at this dealership I brought my Tucson in for service. My rep, "Ron" has major difficulty answering very basic questions (What's wrong with my car? When will the part a I brought my Tucson in for service. My rep, "Ron" has major difficulty answering very basic questions (What's wrong with my car? When will the part arrive? How long before it's ready for me to pick up my car? etc) Isn't that his job to either know answers to these simple questions or get them for customers? It's called "communication" and this guy is unable or unwilling to provide this. These simple questions seemed very difficult for him. I finally asked to speak with someone else in the service department, who was able to tell me straight up what was wrong with my car, what they were doing to fix it, when the part would arrive, etc. Super simple. Sad someone had to do this guy’s job for him. Also, the woman who took payment from me told me to have a "blessed day". I'm not religious, so keep your religious B.S. to yourself. Lastly, 2 days after I picked up my car, I received 2 phone calls from the dealership telling me to pick up my car or I'd be charged a $50 fee. Huh? Unorganized over there! I love my Tucson and want to buy a new one (mine is almost 6 years old and want to upgrade to a Santa Fe), but if my experience with their service team is any indication of how this dealership is run, I will be going out to Long Island or Bronx to buy a new car and when it needs service, I won't be returning to this dealership. Ali made me and my husband feel comfortable without pressuring us into feeling like we HAD to buy anything (Like most car sales reps do) we did not feel comfortable buying. He made sure me and my husband both understood what we would be getting ourselves into financially, and finding a car that would make us happy. We felt like family here, we were given complete undivided attention, and I’m so so glad we came here, I look forward to driving my new 2020 Kona ! Thank you Hyundai Long Island City ! Best Car Purchase Experience Ever! This is the 2nd time I purchased at this dealership and the first time we worked with Christian. Afterwards, he was very accommodating and brought the car over within 30 minutes from their lot so we can look at it prior price negotiation. While we waited, he was able to give us a breakdown on pricing with the current Hyundai offers. He was able to give us a better price since I had purchased a car there prior. After seeing the car and showing us the features, we went back to his office and finalized a deal with his drafted paperwork. We left the dealership within 4 hours (just in time for lunch) and he took his time explaining everything one more time before we drove away with our brand new 2020 Kona! I look forward to working with Christian again for my 3rd visit knowing that he is an absolute professional without any hidden agendas. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! More
