I have never bought a vehicle using the internet before, but I live over 90 miles away from the nearest VW dealer. I was skeptical, but figured I would give it a try. I sent in a request via the Volkswagon website to Kocourek Wausau Imports. Lance Jirschele responded very quickly. I told him the exact type of car I was looking for and described the vehicle I wanted to trade. Lance had me send him pictures of my trade. By 6pm that evening, he had found the exact car I wanted and had a trade-in value on my old car. He explained how he came up with the various numbers, we discussed price, and I put down a deposit...all without ever setting foot in the dealership. It was the easiest auto purchase I may have ever made! When I drove down to pick up my new car...which arrived ahead of schedule, by the way...everything was ready and waiting. Lance reviewed the owners manual, warranty, and maintenance information with me. His brother Greg led me through the paperwork. (They even found that they had charged me $10 too much and promptly took it off the final sales bill!) I got a tour of the dealership and Lance did a very though explanation of the vehicle's operation and systems...he even paired my cell phone to the car's Bluetooth system! I have spent most of my working life in the automobile business and am VERY skeptical when it comes to car sales and sales people. My experience at Kocourek Wausau Imports VW was excellent. I highly recommend Lance and Greg. While I did not get any kind of super cheap deal, either on my trade or my new car, I believe I got a very fair price...and to be honest, I was looking for a smaller volume model that was in pretty high demand, so I was not expecting any kind of rock bottom price. I was offered several additional cost items, but was never pressured in any way to purchase anything I didn't want. Lance and Greg were very upfront in their dealings with me. Everything was explained. All my questions were answered fully. I do not think I could have asked for a better new car sales experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Lance and Greg to anyone. I had a bought a truck from adam byers and he is a great saleaman once I left the dei thought I woulsaler and had it for 3 days I notice the transmition did not back up hills so I took it in and they said t saleaman once I left the dei thought I woulsaler and had it for 3 days I notice the transmition did not back up hills so I took it in and they said they would look into it they found out the transmition was bad they were than going to replace it with a used one witch was ok by me if it worked theey called me and said they had a transmition so I made my apoitment for a thursday they said it would take one day I ended up not geting my truck till tuesday and I had no car for this time span I had to get rides everywhere and they said all finished so I thought I would check it out my self and found that four weel drive was not working properly would slam gears and engage and sometimes would not disingage witch is bad so I deove back to dealer and they are looking at it again now hopfully I dont have to go another day without a car but moral of the story is they a great dealer but ? About the mecanics takin along time and letinge leave withought it working properly without teasting it or any thing they should have cought but they are trying to fix the problems More

I had a great experience with Kocourek Wausau Imports. I went in on a Saturday and found just the used car I was looking for at just the right price and Adam Lensmire made my purchase so easy. He stayed in touch with me all along the way until I took it home on Tuesday and even followed up afterwards to make sure I was happy with my purchase, helping me with a (very) small problem which came up afterwards. I am so happy with my purchace and love my Bug!!! Also I know when my car needs service, Kocourek will be there to take care of it. Thank you More

The ease of purchase was very welcomed. We had been to a few other dealers and it was so high pressure. Adam was very nice and extremely easy to work with! I purchased my Nissan at dealer in Milwaukee (because I was there). This was in December 2008! Since it is not practical to drive to Milwaukee every time I need maintenance or service (I live/work in Centr was there). This was in December 2008! Since it is not practical to drive to Milwaukee every time I need maintenance or service (I live/work in Central Wisconsin), I began a service relationship with Perry @Kocourek Wausau Imports. I could not be happier with my Nissan Altima but moreover, I am THRILLED with the personal service, can-do attitude, and willingness to help with whatever I need. I was afraid that I would not receive good service since I didn't purchase my vehicle at Kocourek - that was NOT the case! Recently my son's vehicle was hit and we purchased a used vehicle from Kocourek! I will look to them when it is time for a new car! Kia vehicle still under factory warranty. Check engine light on, problem w/window, dome light was not coming on, and there seemed to be a shortage somewhere in the vehicle, as a head light and tail light light on, problem w/window, dome light was not coming on, and there seemed to be a shortage somewhere in the vehicle, as a head light and tail light were periodically not working (lights were new). First time I brought the car in, they said there were too many codes in regards to the engine to determine the problem and that they needed to order the part for the window so they will just fix everything then. When the window part came in, they called and said I could bring it in for them to fix. I asked if they would be fixing the engine then as well. He sounded confused and then said yes. When I brought the car in, again, they only mentioned fixing the window, nothing about the engine. I again reminded them that the engine has a problem, and they sounded surprised. At that time I also informed them of the shortage that seemed to be going on and that I wanted them to look into that as well.They didn't seem confident or sure that their resolution to the engine problem was the entirely correct one, which makes me feel very uneasy. When the repairs were "complete" I asked for a list of the codes that came on in regards to the check engine light. The man didn't have them written on the work order and when we asked for him to go back and ask the person who worked on it for them, he said we didn't have time and they had to get us out of there because it was 5pm, closing time. Extremely poor customer service and very shady that they did not record these. They also didn't mention anything about the short I asked them to check out and the lights are still having a problem. Years ago my husband was looking to buy a truck. We went in knowing exactly what we wanted and wanted to pay. We were upfront that we were shopping around and expected the best price possible from the start in knowing exactly what we wanted and wanted to pay. The salesman was very rude saying we didn't give him a chance to counter. Fast forward at least 5 years. Now it's my turn for a new vehicle. Again, went in knowing exactly what I wanted. Sales rep said he didn't have it and wouldn't be able to find it since it was in high demand. He did not even offer to look. So I found one less than 2 hours away. And bought it. Went in to Kocourek with it for warranty work and was "chastized" for not purchasing it there. On top of that, when they fixed the airbag sensor (under warranty) they punctured the leather interior of the door and had to replace the entire door panel in addition. Said they would wash and detail for the inconvenience, but when I picked it up, it was not cleaned. More

Not impressed. They have no fleet of loaner vehicles. They're service dept. is lacking immensely. I have been treated better by used car dealerships, then buying a new vehicle through Wausau Imports. They're service dept. is lacking immensely. I have been treated better by used car dealerships, then buying a new vehicle through Wausau Imports. They are definietely nice & professional when purchasing a vehicle through them, after that however, any problems that need to be addressed are simply shrugged off by them, as if they have no concern for you or your vehicle. Would not recommend purchasing a vehicle here, take your hard earned money elsewhere. Where you will be treated with courtesy & proffesionalism. More
