It was over 80 years ago when, Karl Knauz the father of the current chairman, Bill Knauz, created the dealership that would bear his name for generations to come. Karl Knauz after years of being a chauffeur opened a gas station in Lake Forest. Did he imagine that this modest beginning would come to be one of the most recognized dealerships in the country. The franchises they have now, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, MINI, Land Rover, Hyundai, smart have put their trust in the Knauz family, (with Mercedes-Benz going all the way back to 1959). They have weathered the good times and the bad, and done so by taking care of customer's using 'The Golden Rule".

Buying experience My wife and I recently bought a new Mercedes. The next day Dick was off so Sam Greenberg stepped in and patiently explained the technology and options on the car. He was very knowledgable and friendly as was Dick. Excellent Customer Service along with Great Follow Up I dealt with Michael Marklund. From the beginning until the very end Michael was truly a professional and very easy to work with. Couldn't have been easier! It had been a while since I'd purchased a car. I did some "homework" ahead of time and had an idea of what I wanted to spend. I went to Knauz thinking I just wanted to see the vehicles in person. I feared I may feel intimidated walking into a Mercedes dealership alone, but I had nothing to fear. I met with Paul Kim, who immediately made me feel at ease. Paul was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He answered all my questions and worked with me to figure a way to get me the car I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. I felt like we were on the same team working towards a common goal. Before I knew it - I had negotiated buying a car without any stress or anxiety! More
