Recently bought a new 2020 GTI from King VW and Nora Sokhon. I had a very easy and pleasant buying experience. Nora was very helpful with my trade-in and knowledgeable of the cars he was selling. VERY bad experience Very frustrating experience in trying to get a portion of a service contract refunded, as I no longer own the vehicle. From the start, Paul Myer Very frustrating experience in trying to get a portion of a service contract refunded, as I no longer own the vehicle. From the start, Paul Myers was terrible to work with. He would not return my multiple follow up e-mails and phone calls after the initial phone call I had with him in mid March. It wasn't until June, after I CC'd all the managers on the King VW website, that Paul finally sent me the form he needed me to sign. 3 months, multiple phone calls and emails, and that's how long it took him to just send me the form he needed me to sign. Two months later, after two calls with VW corporate and a conversation with Paul's boss Charles, I now know that somehow they mailed the check to my old address, even AFTER I caught this mistake in June and Paul Myers verified in writing he had corrected this. In this final phone call, Paul's supervisor Charles listened to me, was kind, and did waive the $50 service charge the dealership takes out, as he agreed that the level of service I received from Paul Myers was unacceptable. I was disappointed that he did not go so far to take responsibility for it as his direct supervisor, and someone who should have been aware of the situation as he had been copied on my last 3 e-mails to Paul. Again, I appreciate this gesture, but it does not take away from an incredibly frustrating experience. I wanted to be treated fairly and like a valued customer. Instead, I was essentially ignored for months. My suggestion to the owner would be to remind their team that whether someone is buying a new car, or returning a service contract, they are still customers and should be treated fairly and with the same level of service. In addition, please provide Paul some sorely needed retraining in basic customer service skills. Manager of anything should not be in his title. TL; DR: They took 5 months to process paperwork that could have been processed in 24 hours. Anyone who has ever been to a car dealership knows that dealerships will bend over backwards to take care of you when they are making the sale. Unfortunately in this case at King VW, the same is not true for taking care of their customers after the sale. More
Bait and Switch Tactics - and will not accept NO as answer Kambiz Khadempour, the online salesperson from King VW contacted me after my online inquiry about a NEW 2015 Volkswagen - mind you this is the year 20 Kambiz Khadempour, the online salesperson from King VW contacted me after my online inquiry about a NEW 2015 Volkswagen - mind you this is the year 2020. Thinking it was a hurricane car from Sandy, I asked what the backstory on it was. He texted me that it was a NY car and the info was online. No explanation of why it was listed as NEW, just a request to come see it. When I continued to ask about the NEW status, he eventually said it had 54,000+ miles and he said it was a third party advertiser that was responsible for the mistake. It seemed like a bit of a bait and switch and I told him so. Our experience with the King VW dealership and it’s staff was top notch. Everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. We are from out of state and they made our car purchase and pick seamless and easy. T was top notch. Everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. Chris Evans gave us personalized service and a great deal. there was no haggling or games...he was a strait shooter and worked with us to make the transaction happen in a timely fashion. Worst Possible Experience GEICO sent me here for body work on my Mitsubishi. It took forever to get the work done, though that wasn't King's fault as the part was on national b GEICO sent me here for body work on my Mitsubishi. It took forever to get the work done, though that wasn't King's fault as the part was on national backorder. In total they had my car nearly two months, but stopped communicating with me after 3 weeks. When they finally got the part they rushed the job and did sloppy work. There were runs in the paint and overspray of clear coat. They lost my car key and had to make another, which caused further delay, and lost the cargo cover (which they found later in their shop). I had to go out there several times and they were incredibly unapologetic and unfriendly, acting as though I were an inconvenience to them. The Body Shop Manager wouldn't say hello or make eye contact, the person who I was told was the owner (Jason) called me but then wouldn't respond to an email when I again didn't hear back from anyone. He forwarded the email and didn't even give me the courtesy of a response. I just can't believe they get away with customer service like this. GEICO seemed at wits end too, though they weren't so easy to deal with either since this took so long and they didn't want to cover the rental (even though their driver hit my car). That let to GEICO and King arguing over who had to give me a car, and King coming up with flimsy excuses to not give me a loaner (though they finally did). And, this is all after my having purchased my car from them, which was a hassle unto itself. Suffice it to say that I won't be giving them any more business. By contrast we purchased our other car from Fitzgerald and they have always been a delight....it doesn't have to be this way. More
Terrible Salesperson. I'd avoid this dealership if possible. We had an off putting experience as soon as we stepped in. We unfortunately were assigned Kambiz Khadempour as our salesperson. He didn't properly introduce himself nor shake our hands which is in stark contrast compared to the other dealerships on the block who were all very friendly. He really made it seem like we were inconveniencing him for wanting to know more about the Golf GTI. Not only did he not seem knowledgeable about the specifications, he seemed to be disgruntled and condescending. The majority of our questions were met with silence and when he did decide to answer our questions they would be short, condescending, and a touch argumentative. The thing that really put me off personally was that he barely addressed me even though I asked most of the questions. I was the one who asked for the catalog to see the different trims to compare the specs, it took him an unpleasantly long time to print it out off the website and he handed it to my husband even though I had my hand out to receive it. The final straw was the unusually long wait time for him to pull the car up so that we could test drive it. He was gone for a good 10+ minutes. We felt that we had waited long enough and decided to leave after voicing our complaints to the manager. Surprisingly as we walked out, the Golf GTI we had requested was sitting at the curb with no one around. We honestly have no idea where Mr. Khadempour went. If Volkswagen is reading this, let it be known that we decided against purchasing a VW due to this experience alone. We will be taking our business with another company. More

I sent a message to the salesperson that I have been working with previously a note, asking if they could match the price from another dealer and received a very emotionally-driven and discriminatory response. While they may claim to have the lowest prices in town, they should invest in sensitivity training for their staff. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, until this issue gets resolved. As a customer, I want to compare each vehicle with quotes from different dealers. I have asked for quotes over the email. I understand some dealers don't want to share the quotes. That's fine. But if a customer already told not to call/text but want the quote over the email, please don't call me. Instead of getting a quote, I got an email reply saying "I don't get paid until you drive off the lot with my car, so with that being said what is in it for me?" This is the exact sentence that the dealer used. It was really unfortunate that this dealership is doing business with these work ethics. After I respond, the dealer also replied back mentioning that salesperson work on commission based and I should not mention anything about work ethics. I don't believe this is true because there are still places where Salesperson really works in pride and regardless whether it's based on commission or not. I honestly don't want anyone to have the same experience as me. Don't waste time with this dealership. Find another dealership where they are willing to help you. This place clearly shows that they don't care about the customers but only themselves. More
