My Kia Optima was stolen in March 2023 and taken to the King Kia AutoBody shop for repairs. After two months, I finally got my Kia back. I had to follow up constantly to know the status of my repairs. Prior to receiving my Kia, the AutoBody shop said that they did a "full detail" of the interior of the car. When I picked up my car, there was an additional scratch on the bumper of my car that was not there and the interior was completely dirty. I put my hands on the steering wheel and the dash, my hands were completely black. There were leftover screws in the cup holder and on the side door. There was still pieces of broken glass in the back seat from when the back window was broken. My gas tank also had two miles remaining until completely empty. I am completely disappointed in how they took care of my car after it was stolen. I understand that everyone is busy, but this was a very traumatic experience to begin with and to receive my car in this condition is uncalled for. I would not recommend them for your services. More
Asked the service rep to change my fuel injectors. They spent a week attempting to diagnose the issue (check engine code for injector fault and misfiring) and said that since the car had been modifie They spent a week attempting to diagnose the issue (check engine code for injector fault and misfiring) and said that since the car had been modified, it would be at my expense along with any repairs. I said yes and that I wanted the injectors changed. They didn't think it was the issue. Another few days, they said they still aren't sure and want to keep looking. I again requested they do the injectors at my expense but they said they didn't want to because they couldn't guarantee that was the issue even though all the tech notes and tests pointed to a bad injector. I had enough and paid them $800. I read the tech notes, they charged me for diagnosing the car and making notes of every modification I had or they thought I had. I brought the car home, ordered the injectors and did it myself. Car runs perfect afterwards. It was a bad injector. I wouldn't ever go back for any reason. Definity not MOD friendly even if you removed the mods. More
To really appreciate Daniel Rouff @ King Kia you need to shop around other dealerships first. Otherwise you want be able to grasp the real difference thus, regret going other places. Happy purchasing, but service is overpriced and low quality I was a big fan of the purchase experience at King Kia, but I just picked up my vehicle from my first service experience and I was really disappointed I was a big fan of the purchase experience at King Kia, but I just picked up my vehicle from my first service experience and I was really disappointed. Before you take your Kia to King for service, do yourself a favor and shop around. My issues: 1. Their prices for service are REALLY high. I had an oil change, tire rotation, cabin and engine air filter and a multi point inspection and my bill was nearly $300. I also have a Lexus, and an identical service for it at Lexus of Rockville is actually slightly cheaper, which shocked me. You expect surprisingly high prices to service a car like a Lexus, and the dealership gets you a movie theatre, hot snacks and drinks, luxury atmosphere, a complimentary Lexus loaner. The experience at Kia is what you find in any other mainstream car dealership, Ford, Toyota, etc...which is fine...but I would expect their prices to mirror what those brands charge, not what luxury brands charge when they don't deliver any of those amenities. This service shouldn't have been any more expensive than $160-170. 2. The quality of the service was quite poor, made worse by the fact that I paid a huge premium for it. Everyone was very friendly, renovated dealership is nice. But, the reason I came in was to have a grinding brake issue checked in addition to the regular service. Nobody ever called me to give me an update on what was going on like I was promised. I called several times 5-6 hours after I dropped it off and finally got someone who helped me. He called me back and let me know they could find nothing wrong with the brakes...clearly they never drove the car, at least not over 40 MPH. I was told I'd get a call when it was ready for pickup, I recieved no call. Finally I called and was told yes it was done, and I had to hurry over to get it during rush hour before they closed at 6:30. So now I'm stuck driving the van for Thanksgiving on rough brakes until I can get back and take it to somewhere who will put forth a little more effort. Perhaps the whole experience wouldn't have been so disappointing had the pricing been in line with my expectations. Like I said, I was really happy with the purchase process but the overpriced low quality service will cause me to take both my sales and service business elsewhere. More

After about 2 hrs the service men came up to me and told oil change was done but during checkup the mechanic found the linceplate light and both break light were not working and to repair it would cost a additional $ 150. I told the service men that I found that strange as I always check those things and that I was sure they working as I brought in the car. So after I paid I went to get some light bulbs. Coming home and unscrewing the light fixture I discover the light bulbs were taking out and after putting them back everything was working. So I call up the dealer and ask why. He answer the mechanic didn't do that. So I told him either you lying or the mechanic never check proper More
