I purchased a 2-door 2022 Ford Bronco from this dealership a couple of months ago. It had 17,000 miles, was in excellent condition, and the dealer said it was "Blue Ribbon" certified, having pass dealership a couple of months ago. It had 17,000 miles, was in excellent condition, and the dealer said it was "Blue Ribbon" certified, having passed 175 tests and so they offered it with an extended warranty almost as good as you get with a brand new vehicle. I disliked the vehicle very much and traded it in a month later, around July 4th (I'm a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran with 200% of disabilities). I lost over $10,000 on the trade. Why? Because King Ford's "Blue Ribbon" extended warranty wasn't sold as such. You know how dealers always sit you down to try and talk you into buying an extended warranty for your car? Well, King Ford figured out a way around that ugly formality required by federal law (and Ford Corporate). They call it a "Blue Ribbon" excellent vehicle and jack up the price to include their extended warranty. I submitted a grievance to the Better Business Bureau. They did not respond. The BBB contacted them once or twice more. They never did respond. I was asking for a refund of the extended warranty. Murphy NC is a small town (population 3000). Local businesses depend on word of mouth for repeat business. Clearly this does not matter to King Ford. I even wrote a letter to the editor in the Murphy paper. Still no response. Not even a phone call or an email from the dealership. They didn't even respond to the BBB, so you know they don't give a xxxx about my business, my service to this country, or about earning the business of anybody I know. This is not a dealership you want to purchase a vehicle from. No matter that the condition, what the warranty, or what kind of deal they give you; once you walk out that door, that's the end of the big smiles and happy faces. More
