Over priced I had an appointment on 7/22/2014 to have a battery replaced and my estimate was about $140 for battery and $100 to reset codes in car plus tax. It's amazing how the prices are inflated here and the staff also doesn’t know what’s offered on their own website. (Cabin Filter replacement special) I called Garlyn Shelton VW in Temple and they quoted me $165 plus tax to replace battery and re set codes in car. Garlyn Shelton VW always seems to come through at the end of the day I guess a little distance for a piece of mind and more money left over. More

DO NOT buy a vehicle from here!!!!!! they let us take a truck for an "overnight test drive" and they sold our trade out from under us before we agreed to buy a truck from them! Then tried to tell us they " truck for an "overnight test drive" and they sold our trade out from under us before we agreed to buy a truck from them! Then tried to tell us they "may" not be able to get our vehicle back!! The manager jesse came out and tried to "make it right" but wouldn't sell us a truck at the price we wanted, even though they had already sold ours!! When we did get our vehicle back, it wasn't n the condition we left it in, Johnny, the sales guy started raising his voice at my husband! We called the manager out and before we could explain what happen, he threatened to call the cops on us!!! Once again!!! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! This was the worst car buying experience ever!!! I should have known not to buy from automax, there not a major dealership, they screw people over daily! I'll stick to GARLYN SHELTON BMW and Cadillac dealership, the buying experience there is always good, AND they treat u like a customer should be treated! More

I've bought cars from this dealership and also had service done there. I am through with Automax. Every car I've bought from them: pushy sales staff, little ability to negotiate (like $200 max), p service done there. I am through with Automax. Every time I've attempted to get service from them: they don't return calls, if you call and try to get a price for scheduled maintenance they won't tell you, they don't understand how to do recalls, they take foreveerrrrr if you drop your car off. Seriously, just go somewhere else. Automax is too big to be good anymore. More

No way to make contact via email to ask questions or complain only via phone. Overall sales department reminded me of a Carnival with a bunch of Hucksters willing to do anything to get someone hooked. On 07/17/2020, I took a my policy for gap insurance to the dealership for a refund of the unused policy. What a terrible experience that was. Said no one was in the Business Department (looked full of people to me). F&I (Miller) started asking for information that had nothing to do with the refund and wouldn’t sign a receipt for the requested refund until I told them I was going to report them to the BBB and the State AG. Certainly not the way I would run a business and not the type of place I would recommend to anyone. More
