Petty scam We purchased a used Soul from this dealer. Paid in full in cash with minimal sales involvement. When the transaction was complete we were handed the k We purchased a used Soul from this dealer. Paid in full in cash with minimal sales involvement. When the transaction was complete we were handed the key to the vehicle. As it was only on e key we were surprised but assured by the salesman we "could have a spare key made anywhere". Having checked with establishments that make keys we found out a key can actually only be gotten from a dealer. We then got a call telling us our plates and title were ready for pick up. We traveled back to the dealer and asked why we were told we could have a key "made anywhere" when that was not the case. They told us that was a simple error but for $90.00 they would be glad to provide one. I have never had to pay for a second key from any dealer when buying a car. I relayed this to the sales help who immediately summoned the parts manager. He took up a threatening pose and told us we could pay him $90 or "go have the key made anywhere". I told him that was misleading, at which point he declared "the conversation over" and walked off. The dealer manager finally got involved at this point, restating that the "key anywhere" was a simple mistake, that for $90 he would give us a second key, and that he reprimanded his salesman. I guess having completed the $13,000 sale he was could not fathom that maybe he could just accept the loss of $90 retail in order to have a smooth sale with happy customers. I can not imagine the treatment anyone who goes here for service gets. More
