Awful, rude, dishonest, lies wow! shopping for a car isn't that much fun. it's made worse when you come here. classic bait and switch with prices. they advertise a price but they wow! shopping for a car isn't that much fun. it's made worse when you come here. classic bait and switch with prices. they advertise a price but they jack up the price with made up fees and imply that there are discounts included in the advertised price that you don't qualify for... then they act like they're doing you a favor if they take it off. Anyway, they weren't even willing to negotiate with me on a car which was fine because they were scamming anyway. I went to another dealer and got a great deal on a better car. Maybe I should thank them for being such lowlifes and driving me elsewhere? Anyway, save your time for a good dealer because Rt 23 Kia is not. More

I told the salesperson I was willing to talk numbers and make a deal. He said, well the internet price is $14, 865. I said well the car says $12,999. He said well I have to use the internet price. I asked for the manager to come over. The manager came over and seemed like he did not feel like being bothered. I told him I am ready to make a deal today but I want to work from the price advertised on the car which is $12,999. He, with a straight face, said that's not the price. I said well that's the price on the car.(FYI, I STILL have the pics of the price on the car) He said the internet price is the price. He then said that he has someone coming on Monday to correct the price. First of all, if the paper taped inside the car is INCORRECT, why would you LEAVE IT IN THE CAR? Take it out of the car. I will not do business with this Kia. I can get the name of the rep and Mgr. More
Don't go here unless you enjoy dishonesty and being scammed TL;DR Kia Route23 bait and switches us on car after telling them we only want one off-brand vehicle on their website after telling them we're 43 mi aw TL;DR Kia Route23 bait and switches us on car after telling them we only want one off-brand vehicle on their website after telling them we're 43 mi away and willing to driver there right now if they have it. My wife and are were in the market for a used 2016/17 Mazda CX-5, ideally in white with light interior. We were having a rough go with finding what we wanted and had just left a Mazda dealership in NY empty handed. We had taken off from work that day specifically to source this car. In our research, there was one seemingly ideal option but was waaay out of the way. Something about it triggered my spidey sense. However, we call Route 23 Kia and speak to Ashlee. We tell her we're only looking for this particular car we saw on their website, we're 43 miles away, and can she confirm they have THIS specific car still on the lot because we'll drive there right now. We're asking buying questions and Ashlee confirms that it absolutely is there and available. Great! Ashlee totally made me feel better and sounded very down to earth and a straight shooter. She tells us to come in, ask for her, she's usually there til blah, blah today. We punch the dealer into the GPS, make a u-turn, and head straight there before it gets too late to get something done. Over an hour later we arrive, masked up, gloves, sanitizer, ready to go. "Hi, we're here to see Ashlee. We spoke an hour ago." "Let me see if Ashlee is here." 30 seconds later... "Ashlee isn't here but {random name I can't remember} can help you." "Huh, that's weird. Ok, we are very specifically looking for the xyz car with this stock # and VIN ending in xyz." "Let me check, O, we sold that car an hour ago but we have a 2017." I look around and the place is essentially empty. One customer talking to someone which is unlike all the dealers we went to that day or throughout our buying process. "Wait how is that possible? An hour ago ago you're telling me? Someone was in the process of buying the car with one of your reps while we were talking to Ashlee?" "yeah, mmm actually we sold it a day ago" I look over and a car pulls up being driven by someone at the dealer, it's their 2017 CX-5 for way more than what we were looking at. What a coincidence! They ask us if we want to take a look we say absolutely not. And, then the story changes again that the car was sold 3 days ago. We walk out. Do not bother at all with Route 23 Kia. They are unethical, scammers, and it's very clear why they have a BBB rating of F. AVOID! More
Turned around somewhere in November 2019 with new ownership. The sales manager is fantastic. I have a 2013 Kia Optima EX that I LOVE. My only key fob broke, and batteries wasn’t fixing it. Anyone looking to buy or lease a car, DO NOT go to Route 23 Kia. They lie, cheat and steal your money. I worked out a deal, that they would pay the remaining lease payments on my Explorer, the over mileage 23 Kia. They lie, cheat and steal your money. I worked out a deal, that they would pay the remaining lease payments on my Explorer, the over mileage along with dropping it off at the dealer. As I was finalizing the deal, the they informed me the car was not for sale and that it was a customized car for the owner’s son. (That car had just about everything, leather seats, winter package, etc.). Instead they brought out a car that basically was only the same color. This car had heated seats, but nothing else. I was hesitant in agreeing, but figured that they would offer me a better deal. Sure enough, when I came back in I was handed some BS that was presented as they were doing me a favor, but in reality they pulled a fast one reversing the deal we had just made. I will give her credit as she can fast talk you into thinking you are actually making out in the deal only to find out that you are actually paying more. By the time I walked out and had a chance to review everything, I found that the paperwork was wrong. They listed the mileage at 7, but the actual mileage was 40 and that the agreed monthly payment was actually more than what was agreed upon. They hid this so well, that when I was signing the documents it wasn't even in sight. As I had purchased the car on a Saturday, I called that Monday to discuss the errors. NO call back! I then emailed the woman who sold me the car and she responded that they would issue me a refund check for the difference in mileage. I explained that I didn't want a refund, I just wanted the paperwork corrected for the mileage and monthly payments. Again NO response. I followed up with an email to the receptionist, which finally got me a callback. The call was useless as it was disconnected and I could not reach anyone at the dealership when I called back. At that time, another message was left with NO return call. After posting a review on their website, the owner contacted me requesting that I speak to the sales manager to rectify the issue and how they want their customers to be 100% satisfied. Today, almost a month later I spoke with not one, but two sales managers. I was told by the top sales manager, that he wasn't even going to offer me anything. At that time I'm reminded him that the owner contacted me to discuss how to fix the issues. He then offered to give me free service for the life of the lease ($600 value). Needless to say, I did not accept that and left. More

Awful dealership to deal with. In this COVID-19 era, an appointment was made for me with a salesperson and I traveled 40 miles to the dealership. Arrived on time and no one was available to converse with r appointment was made for me with a salesperson and I traveled 40 miles to the dealership. Arrived on time and no one was available to converse with re a lease on a vehicle. Then someone 10 minutes later comes out and tells me my car was sold to another. Since I had not yet discussed a specific vehicle prior, I realized what a scam dealership this is. Got in my vehicle and drove off after being called "rude" by one of their salespeople for ignoring his plea to stay in place. I only do business with honest staff and dealers. This unfortunately isn't such a dealership! More
I never leave 1 star reviews but Ashley bent over backwards to deserve it. She was very rude to me twice over the phone. I told her via email and later on the phone that I’m calling from 400 miles aw backwards to deserve it. She was very rude to me twice over the phone. I told her via email and later on the phone that I’m calling from 400 miles away and would appreciate a walkthrough. She told me the first time that she will find a salesperson to give me a video walkthrough and that they are super busy, and yes she didn’t PROMISE on a legally binding paper with wax stamps that a walkthrough will be given but she said she will try to find a salesperson. No call back for at least 4 days. I called her again today and she started barking back about how short staffed they are and how POPULAR the truck is. The truck in question has been on the lot for almost a year. Has been reduced by almost $10k - that’s how “popular” it is. I can count on one finger how many people are interested in the truck right now. She had the audacity to tell me - despite me telling to be calm - to go buy a truck in Virginia and that she’s not “going to bend over backwards for someone who might not even buy the truck”. I understand everyone is stressed out, but it’s pretty much standard practice during covid-19 to do virtual walkthroughs NATIONWIDE! You’re not bending over backwards Ashley but if you spent a little time being nicer, people might just buy your cars! God Bless you and hope your stress levels go down. I’m happy to recommend a few doctors and some sales courses near you. More
