It's been about 10 years since I purchased a car from a dealer, my last two cars were online purchases. One of those cars, a Fiat 500 2012 got totaled in an accident and I was in need of a new car. After dealer, my last two cars were online purchases. One of those cars, a Fiat 500 2012 got totaled in an accident and I was in need of a new car. After MUCH research on EV's I settled on the KIA NIRO and reached out to Kia Riverdale because they were the only ones in my area who had multiple colors to choose from. The getting-to-know-the-car process was smooth, the guy I dealt with Jayden, very personable, it was a really good experience and also dealing with his manager Mustafa. Long story short I got the car and after I had questions, as it was my first KIA EV so I reached out to the GM James Morando and the guy was awesome, so responsive, so caring about how everything went, I was honestly shocked as I thought that once I buy the car they could care less but totally opposite, they're there even after. They probably got me as a customer for life, I'm really enjoying the NIRO, it is everything I expected and more and I will definitely check this dealership first in the future when I'm back on the market because even though it is further from me than some others, these people are reliable. My fiance and I bought a 2019 Jeep compass end of April. It took them over a month to get us our plates although they were at the dealership a week after we purchased the car. The salesman was just to lazy to go looking for them. After having the car for a month we started hearing weird noises coming from the transmission, which I had already told the salesman about and he said to bring it in and they'd take a look at it. So that what we did. Brought the car in mid May, after a week of the car being in the shop I called to follow up since I hadn't heard from them, turns out they hadn't even looked at it yet, stating they were too busy. Guess we weren't a priority for them. He said they would look at it that afternoon and they'd call me back. A few days go by still no call, so of course I call them to follow up. They said that they had called the warranty company earlier in the week and were waiting on the warranty company to approve the work. I happened to call the warranty company myself to see what the hold up was and they told me they had just received the claim and that they were actually waiting on Kia. They had sent in inaccurate information and needed them to run some additional tests. So basically Kia called them AFTER I called to follow up. Now at this point the car has been in the shop for over two weeks with absolutely nothing taken care of. I called Jorge back at the shop and he tried to tell me that they were waiting on the warranty again which I told him I knew was a lie. I told him that I needed my car back, I am 6 months pregnant and need a car for work and to get to dr. appointments, he said he'd talk to his manager and see what they can do, said he would call me back. A few days later still no call back, so I call them back and he puts me on hold to go talk to the manager, although supposedly he was going to do that a few days prior, he comes back on the phone and tells me they can get me a loaner. Okay fine at this point it's the least they can do since they've had my car in the shop at this point for about 3 weeks. They finally change the transmission, tell us the car is ready for pick up. I go pick it up, drive it down the street and hear a really loud sound and it smells like something is burning. You can feel the transmission changing, obvious! Seriously! How am I supposed to get back home and get around without a car again!? He apologized which at this point means absolutely nothing to me and told me he'd call me when a loaner becomes available, it is not middle of September and I'm still waiting for a call. During this whole process I also spoke to a general manager at Kia to see if there was anything that can be done seeing as the car had been in the shop since middle of may and it's one problem after another. He said there was not much they could do, that once the car is off the lot it becomes the customers responsibility, that it is up to the dealership to decide how to handle. He said what they could do is buy the car back from us, but of course at a lower price. NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! They do not care about their customers at all. They got their money and they could care less about anything else. Customer service sucks, the mechanics seems like they are straight out of school and have no idea what they are doing, and all they did was lie to me about everything. I finally brought the car somewhere else and within a day they already figured out what was wrong and had already contacted the warranty to get all the work approved. Definitely nothing like the service I received at Kia. More
Leased a forte in March 2020. Car was delivered to my home due to beginning of covid. Now, as lease is expiring. I've called 5x in past 5 days seeking a copy of original contract and how to buyout or finance the buyout. NOT ONE CALL from finance. One text from a salesperson thinking I was looking to buy a used 2020 forte. Discovered the dealership changed hands sometime in 2021. Original dealership wasn't the greatest, but this TOTAL LACK of communication from someone looking to finance a buyout (along with original contract) is disgusting. More
Over the past 3 days I have called, emailed and texted with this dealer and the response has been dismal at best. No one returns calls at all. The lack of communication was very stressful, they would ask for additional information 4-5 days after initial contact. They didn’t start working on my plates until almost 2 weeks after i had already left with the car. They didn’t pay off my trade in for an ENTIRE TWO WEEKS and i was forced to make the following payment. Their management team had the audacity to say, don’t make the payment they will give you a grace period and it won’t affect your credit if the payment is late. The main manager who worked on my deal (Mustafa Ramadan) was supposed to pay off my trade in 2 weeks prior to the 5th a waited for the 4th to mail out a check. His words exactly were ‘i did my job by mailing it out before the 5th’ knowing that it’ll take that check at least a few days to arrive and a few days to clear. Stay away from this dealership you will only regret it even if you enjoy the car you’re newly in. More

Worst experience of my life. - Sold me a car that they did not have the title for. - Had to drive for months with expired temp tags and expired temp registration. - Was give - Sold me a car that they did not have the title for. - Had to drive for months with expired temp tags and expired temp registration. - Was given a piece of paper that said they were "working on getting the title" 3 months after I purchased my 2nd vehicle from this dealership. - After roughly 35 phone calls, I was able to get the title 8 months after purchasing the car. - 10 times out of 10 when I was told "We'll give you a call tomorrow morning" I never received a call. - Sold me a car imported from Canada, then pretended they had no idea it was an import. This meant ALL internet based features would *never* work (Including remote start, anti-theft system, in car WiFi, and more). - Car was sold with paperwork stating the VIN was checked for recalls on the US recall website, the VIN doesn't work on that site because it's an import. (I tried it myself) - To confirm the car did not have the recalls checked, I called the maintenance department of Kia of Riverdale and asked to have my VIN checked, guess what? They couldn't check it because Canadian VIN's can't be ran by Kia of US equipment. - Car was sold with paperwork stating the Warranty time-frame, which was void since imported vehicles do not have the same warranty as US manufactured vehicles. No one mentioned this during the sale. - Instead of taking the imported car back, they treated it like a trade-in, which cost me thousands of dollars to basically give-back the car that they shouldn't have sold. All of the financing had to be re-done. - When I first tried to just get a different car (Kia Telluride) I ran the VIN on every single Telluride listed on the website, they were all from Canada. - After refusing to deal with excuses, I went to the dealership. The manager told me "I'll be with you in one minute" 30 minutes later after finding them in their office, they said "Oh, I thought you left" (I was the ONLY one in the waiting area). - After returning the imported Kia Telluride and having to get a Honda Pilot (The only vehicle with a 3rd row that was not from Canada) I didn't get ANY paperwork regarding the vehicle. When I asked the finance manager why I would get paperwork for the first purchase and not the 2nd purchase, he stated "Oh that's just how the other finance employee does it, that's not how I do it"? - I have multiple voicemails of multiple staff members from Kia of Riverdale stating they originally had the title, which they never did. It took literally months to get the title. - When I argued that the dealership should take the original car back (3 days after purchase) staff members not even 10ft away talked trash as if I couldn't hear them. Will be reporting this dealership everywhere possible. I was *lucky* enough to find out about the first car being from Canada, most of the car buyers wouldn't find that out until they tried to get a warranty repair which (Confirmed from Kia corporate) would not be possible at a US-based Kia dealership without jumping through multiple hoops. Repair shops literally cannot even run the VIN if the car is from Canada. The parts are different than US based parts (Confirmed from a Kia certified technician). At one point I was told "Come pick up a document that says you don't have the title" I asked 3 times for them to have the document ready before I come there. Drove 2 hours to their location and was told "Oh we have no idea what you're talking about". More
