Also once you buy the car, they are also extremely hard to reach and don't answer your messages. I was lied to about when my car would be ready and was ignored when I tried to follow up with any questions and concerns with the car. Extremely unprofessional behavior and a horrible experience. It was a new arrival so was not on-site when I arrived as it was finishing up at their service center close by. While it finished at the center, Thomas helped work through the numbers. It was a very simple process. The price I saw online before coming in was the price I received at the dealer. The only additional cost outside of mandatory taxes and registration costs was a 799 doc fee which is standard for dealers in the area and a fee I expected to pay. Before the car even arrived, I was at a comfortable price point without the need to negotiate. Once the car arrived we took a quick test drive and found the car to be great outside of a faulty sunroof control. When back inside, Thomas flagged the issue with the service team. They confirmed all the work they had done and presented the $1500 itemized work order for it. The work done on the car including new brake pads, an oil change and some minor safety fixes above what is required by NJ law. They were still waiting on the part for the sunroof control which is why the car was at the service center when I first arrived. They were very upfront about this and did not charge any extra for the repairs they had done as they were already all included in the sales price. After running my credit, my monthly payment was even lower than the initial quote I had been give. I was able land where I was hoping without even needing to negotiate. While I may have been able to negotiate down a little, after the experience I had at Maserati of Bergen earlier in the day, I was happy to sign at the list value of the car and avoid the back and forth. Everything through the process was so transparent and clear. At no point did I feel like there were questions I had to ask or information the dealer was not being forthcoming coming about. There were a few long waits between fetching the car from the offsite lot and a back up waiting for the financing department but on a busy holiday Monday, there is only so much they can do to keep up with the rush. I drove off the lot in the car the same day with a signed we owe doc for the sun roof control which they’ll repair as soon as they have the part. A perfect dealership experience. More

I was pressured into purchasing a GAP insurance policy for $1,200, only to discover later that my existing car insurance provider offers the same coverage for less than $100 per year. That is a massive markup, but the real nightmare began when I tried to exercise my right to cancel it. Since the second day of owning my car, I have been stuck in a loop of lies and intentional delays: The Runaround: Deokie Vargas in the finance office of Kia of Riverdale explicitly told me that I had to mail the cancellation request to Capital One Auto Finance. The Truth: I sent the request via both certified and regular mail. When Capital One ignored it, I called them directly. They informed me that only the dealer can cancel this policy. * The Avoidance: For three weeks, Deokie Vargas has ignored my certified mail, refused to return my calls, and has continuously misled me regarding the process. It is crystal clear that this is a high-profit item they are desperate to keep on the books. Every day they ignore me, my "prorated" refund shrinks. This isn't just bad customer service; it's a calculated, dishonest attempt to retain money that doesn't belong to them. I will not be "forgetting" about this. I expect a full refund or a credit to the back end of my loan immediately. If you value honesty and post-sale support, stay far away from Kia of Riverdale's finance department. More

I assumed the paperwork was finalized and all agreed-upon maintenance was complete. However, while driving there, I asked more detailed questions and realized that none of the promised service work had been performed, making the trip a total waste of time. Fortunately, the sales manager acted professionally and instructed Saad to deliver the car once it was truly ready. The delivery process was equally poorly handled. Saad failed to coordinate a delivery window and instead insisted on a specific time without considering our availability. I was forced to escalate the matter to his manager once again to arrange a mutually agreeable time. Upon arrival, Saad attempted to leave immediately via Uber without allowing us to inspect the maintenance work or properly handing over the keys and documentation. When I inquired about the paperwork and the second set of keys, he simply told us to find them ourselves on the passenger seat. What made things worse was that he always fought back with excuses, which also highlighted his poor planning capabilities. What triggered me to write this one-star review is the ongoing poor communication. With our temporary plates expiring in two weeks, we began calling and emailing the dealership and asking for updates. We tried every phone number and email address we were given, yet received no response, and tomorrow, the plate will be expired. More
