My husband and I bought a 2011 Kia Optima a couple years ago and recently wanted to upgrade to the new Kia SXL model. Richard Purdy was our salesman. He is an asset to your company, an honorable human bein ago and recently wanted to upgrade to the new Kia SXL model. Richard Purdy was our salesman. He is an asset to your company, an honorable human being with so much to offer. He informed us he would get us into the car of our dreams and without being a pushy salesman he did just that. We told him where we wanted our payment and how much we wanted for our trade-in and he went to "bat " for us. Richard is honest, trust worthy and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed both our experiences with him and will tell all our family and friends to buy their cars from him. My story is long and a frustrating but I wanted to share it with other people that are thinking of buying a car from this dealership. My girlfriend and I went to this dealership on a Saturday, when we arriv it with other people that are thinking of buying a car from this dealership. My girlfriend and I went to this dealership on a Saturday, when we arrived at the dealership Shaun came out and met us with a smile and handshake. After looking at many cars that were overpriced we decided to work numbers on a 2011 Kia Soul. After going back and forth on numbers we decided to take our trade and sell it on our own to get more money out of it, and the they were not willing to move on the price of the Kia. After a few more moments they came back and told us that the price that was posted on the Kia was a mistake and it was to priced to low and that it will go back up at the end of the day. We decided to walkaway and as we were about to leave they stopped us and said they would have a 2007 mazda3 for sale that would work for our price. We were told it would be ready on Tuesday. The next day we sell my girlfriends car for 4 times what the dealership offered, the only reason we did this was because Shaun said we would have first crack at the Mazda. Fast forward to Tuesday my girlfriend and I show up around 5:30pm and the car is not on the lot. The sales team says Shaun is not in and they give us someone else to work with. They spend 20 minutes running around and telling us that the car is not ready and that it would be ready for us to look at on Thursday. I asked if we could hold the car or put down a deposit until the vehicle was ready and that was not offered to us. I was told that they will not sell the car until it is clean, fixed, and passes safety. Thursday, I call Shaun that morning to confirm that the car was ready and he says it will be ready on Friday. No big deal, we said ok and went about our day. later that afternoon we get a call from Shaun and he tells us that someone at the dealership has sold the car before it was ready to go. We were told this was against dealership polices and that was why we could not buy it before it was ready. When we asked what the dealer was going to do about this issue, we were met with excuses and xx stories. Saturday, we return to have some words with the sales team and try to find a different car. We come back to the Kia we liked on last Saturday and it was posted for the same price. When I asked about this mistake the sales manager says the price was not a mistake it was the new low price for the car. At this point we are fairly angry but Shaun helped us out and was able to make the numbers work for us to get into the car. Although the dealership in general did absolutely nothing to help us, Shaun was helpful and got us on the road. If you are going to this dealership ask for him. But be ready for the management to twist the truth. More
Great Service & Great Experience. We bought two cars one new, one used and we love both of our cars very much. We felt that both the salesman Eugene & Finance Kim was a great team and was real and open one new, one used and we love both of our cars very much. I had a great experience at Kia of Puyallup. Not only was there lot well stocked and great priced, the customer service there was amazing. We were refereed to Kia of Puyallup by several family members who do business here. When we arrived and saw a salesman walk up to our car, we braced ourselves for thng pushy or e pitch, but instead were members who do business here. When we arrived and saw a salesman walk up to our car, we braced ourselves for thng pushy or e pitch, but instead were very impressed as Rich Putest and can talk freely amongst your selves"rdy introduced himeself, pointed us in the direction of the vehicle we were looking for and said " I won;t bother you while you are looking around, but am available if you have questions"... what a relief! Once we had decided on the van we wanted to test drive, Rich set it up quickly, and we were on our way. we even loaded up our two carseats in the van. then again to our suprise he said " I'm not going with you, so you can have an honest, and talk freely amongst yourselves." again, what a relief! When we returned, and had decided we wanted the van, we told Rich what we wanted to see happen to take the van home today. Rich worked it and got us within a few hundred dollars! All without being pushy, rude or "salesmany" He is easy to talk to, but professional, he got us what we wanted, for the price we wanted, and even when the price came out a 'little' bit more than we expected , he made up for it! I will recommend Kia of Puyallup and Rich Purdy to any of my friend and family confidently! thank you Rich! More
I have bought 4 new vehicles from Kia of Puyallup over the past few years. I have always dealt with the same sales person, Rich Purdy, each and every time. This dealer is crap. Went in for a recall, took way longer than they told me. Then Ireplaced the headlight in my rondo 8 times this year, and now the headlight melted the whole housing and they want 50 longer than they told me. Not worth it, especially when I paid $12000 for your car, and you can't figure out why the headlight keeps melting the housing. More
21 percent of the items listed in the advertisement were not present on the car when I arrived. So I was baited in with one offer only to be switched to anther because the first offer does not exist. When I took delivery of the car there was a warning light lit on the dash, yet I was allowed to drive the unsafe car away. My compensation? I could have a free car wash. More
