Initially charged 1400 for repairs stating the coils needed to be changed to resolve the issue and also routine repairs of alignment adjustments and new tires and oil change would be necessary. We Talke needed to be changed to resolve the issue and also routine repairs of alignment adjustments and new tires and oil change would be necessary. We Talked down to the minimum maintenance for 450 for just the coil and oil change. The repair did not even fix the issue. The catalytic converter was the initial problem and was not discovered by the shop but discovered on our own investigation when we got the vehicle back home.. We will be looking elsewhere for maintenance, to ensure the issue gets resolved in one trip instead of this potential scenario occurring again. More

I came in for an alignment on my vehicle and was told by the technician Robert that I needed new struts and he quoted me for $450. I told him that I will schedule a date to get that done and I did so about the technician Robert that I needed new struts and he quoted me for $450. I told him that I will schedule a date to get that done and I did so about two weeks later, when I came in to get my struts, I was then told that they do not know if the struts are the issue and that they will have to fix my control arms that will run me $1300 they then said they will see if they need to fix the struts when I asked how much the struts would be they said the struts alone would be $900 and some change. I told him that two weeks prior I was quoted for $450. $300 of that being the labor and the 150 being struts, the technician told me that it is $450 for the service and 300 and some change for the struts when I told him I called the day prior to double check on the prices of the struts and service which was still $450. He did not have an answered to why the price changed… So I came for some $450 struts that was recommended and, quoted by a technician but I ended up getting a $3000 bill. I told the technician there is no way I have money to pay that today so I will have to reschedule in the future. He proceeded to tell me that they ran a diagnostic on my vehicle which I nor requested or agreed too and said that I will have to pay for the diagnostic because his technician’s don’t work for free. He also said that his technicians get commission off of each job they do on my vehicle! So now I beg the question, did my vehicle really need all of those repairs done for $3000 or are Kia Of Lansing technicians trying to pursue as many things wrong with my vehicle as possible so that they could get commission from it?!???!?!!!
