I walked into Kia Cherry Hill with my mind set to buy a Kia they had on the lot. I was greeted by the salesperson, showed me the car I wanted on the lot, test drive, and eventually sat down to negotiate th Kia they had on the lot. I was greeted by the salesperson, showed me the car I wanted on the lot, test drive, and eventually sat down to negotiate the price. Prior to this, I had used a website with paid subscription and a different salesperson from this dealership had promised me a specific price which was binding for a week, which I let expired but I did make it to this dealership within 2 weeks of the offer price. I sat down for several hours haggling with the salesperson supervisor, Tony, who was demeaning especially when I paid cash for the car. I would not recommend this dealerships unless you are willing to accept the price they gave you with less than a hundred dollar difference if you negotiate. My experience was so bad that I would not use their service department or buy another Kia from this dealership if the specific car I want is available within 100 mile radius. More
Let's first discuss how on a Wednesday I called my salesman to see a car I viewed online the following Saturday. When I got there at 8 am Saturday, the car had been "sold". His response? "oh, did you salesman to see a car I viewed online the following Saturday. When I got there at 8 am Saturday, the car had been "sold". His response? "oh, did you get my message?" No Herman, of course I did not get your message, because you didn't leave one. So he shows me a comparable car that I did like. Silly me thinking the car was comparable! They wanted almost FIVE GRAND more than what the car was worth. It was a 2008 with almost 80k! Can you say rental! I didn'y mind purchasing a car with extensive miles; I own two other (much older) cars with way more miles and they are problem free. So on Monday I come to pick up my new car (which of course I still overpaid for, but that's any dealership nowadays). On my way home I realize my 6 disc CD changer doesn't work-FAB. Neither does my outlet- EVEN BETTER. The car was oddly pulling to the left, even though it didn't do that during the test drive. So I go in on Friday for service-keep in mind I have had the car a total of FOUR days at this point. On my way in, the sunroof breaks. So service tells me I need an alignment, AND A NEW SUNROOF! $1500!! I spoke to the sales floor manager Bernard, who said "I'll take care of it". So in order to get an alignment (which by the way is NOT covered under warranty, and they try to make you feel special by throwing this 60 buck service in for free), you have to leave your car because they have to send it to another facility. THEY DO NOT HAVE LOANERS. So if you're like me and work an hour and a half away, you're completely screwed. But I left it, in hopes they would fix it. WRONG AGAIN! Bernard said he never said he would take care of, just that he would have it looked at---umm, hello...that was already done! So he tries to empathize with me by saying how everyone gets screwed over when buying a used car and he just bought one for his son and the transmission fell out and now he's stuck with it. So you're saying I got screwed over, and I'm stuck with it? Of course that's not what he's saying. Well BERNARD, when you empathize with someone, you're kind of leading them to believe you're on the same page! So yes, that's exactly what you were saying. So after my frustration I spoke with the general manager. He sends a guy out to check out my sunroof. Completely disregards the CD player issue cuz hey, when you pay extra for a "premier" car, it doesn't matter if the premier crap works or not! So Dan (the GM) gets back to me and says he's willing to split the cost of the sunroof with me, 500 bucks would be my total. Yea well, I spoke to the sunroof guy and he said the total to replace the sunroof would be $550...someone explain to me how $500 is half of that? Apparently they think women are stupid and they can just pull the wool over my eyes. Dan went on vacation and was supposed to call me on Thursday; well here it is Wednesday and have I heard from him? No. Has he returned my 3 phone calls from each day this week? No. To top everything else off, after these geniuses "fixed" my car with an alignment, now it is pulling so severe to the right that I am white-knuckling it every time I get into the car, which by the way I haven't driven in two weeks for my fear of my own safety. You know why it's pulling? Because my tire tread is at a 2! But of course, according to their safety inspection it is a 4; major difference, don't see how you can mess that one up. So all in all, I've had the car a month now. Probably drove it for a week total ,and now I'm out of at least a grand trying to fix my sunroof and tires. Way to go Cherry Hill Kia! You know exactly how to keep your customers happy! Screw em over, and pretend like you never met them as soon as they sign those papers. And thanks to the good old state of New Jersey, tires are no longer looked over during inspection! Way to keep us safe New Jersey. So the "guarantee of inspection" is still valid, and I'm still screwed. If you like pointless hour long stories, self righteous employees, and don't mind hearing from the secretary how her own employer has screwed her over on the car she purchased from them, then by all means go right on in to Cherry Hill Kia. Be a little cautious when entering the parking lot though, because the 17 yr old speed demons they have for lot attendants might just crash into you head on! Just keep in mind that once you purchase that vehicle they will treat you like your NOT a customer. Like you never were a customer, like they absolutely don't value your business, because honestly, they've already made the sale and the commission check is on it's way. No worries Cherry Hill Kia. You may not want to help me out, but the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, and Ford have been way more than helpful. Hope you hear from them soon! More
We actually had a very good experience at Cherry Hill Kia. We had looked at several different SUVs but liked the KIA Sorento the best and Cherry Hill had lots to choose from. From the time we walked in Kia. We had looked at several different SUVs but liked the KIA Sorento the best and Cherry Hill had lots to choose from. From the time we walked in the door to the time we pulled away in our new car, it was like two hours, which is pretty good in my book. I’ve spent hours at car dealerships before, only to leave without a car. That was not the case, they were respectful of my time and didn’t play any games. I will be back. More
I just want to go on record and say that Dan is the man! His sales technique really made me feel like he was a friend and worked as much for me as he would for the dealer. I feel that buying a car is one of His sales technique really made me feel like he was a friend and worked as much for me as he would for the dealer. I feel that buying a car is one of the most painful experiences of your life and he made it very easy. He was honest with me and put together a deal that not only made my payment what I thought was fair, but got me great money for my trade in that wasn't even there at the time of the deal. He never made me feel like he wouldn't go to bat for me even after the sale. I will be buying future cars from Dan Elmer you can bet on that! More

My car's A/C was not working. They determined the condenser needed replacement. The service manager said they would give me a deal on one. I was ultimately charged 459. (I wouldn't use the word "d condenser needed replacement. The service manager said they would give me a deal on one. I was ultimately charged 459. (I wouldn't use the word "deal", but many weeks later, I found the price was not as terrible as I originally thought -- I could have gotten the same part for 405.) He led me to believe the price for everything that day would be $700. I couldn't wait there, so they brought me home. When I got back to pick-up the car (about 4pm), all the service managers were gone. The total bill was $934. No one would answer my questions about why the price was $200+ more than I thought. Everyone just played dumb. They just wanted my credit card. I later contacted them twice to let them know how upset and dissatisfied I was, and got no response. When I submitted a very unfavorable review on this web site, I was contacted, via this same website, and I had a good discussion with Chris via site messages. He/She explained some things that helped me understand the costs. I decided I would tone down the review, but mentioned that I am still disappointed at the part cost and the misunderstanding of the total cost. I changed the Overall Experience from "Very Bad" to "OK" because the part price was within reason, and the misunderstanding of the total cost could be explained by lack of communication on both our parts. As with any repair shop, don't be afraid to ask questions. Most of us are clueless about car repair, so make sure you explain back to them what your understanding is. More
