I recently had the pleasure of buying a car from Kevin R. at Kia, and I can confidently say he was exceptional from start to finish. Even though he has been with Kia for less than a year, his knowledge of the car-buying process was impressive. He answered all of our questions clearly and made sure we understood every step of the car purchasing process. What stood out most was that Kevin never pressured my wife and me into purchasing a specific vehicle or adding extras we didn't want. Instead, he truly listened to what we needed and focused on helping us find the right fit. He was patient, professional, and genuinely committed to making sure our needs were met. I Bought a brand new Kia Forte 5 in 2015. In 2025 June my engine broken down and they replaced in with less 85,000 miles on it. Since then I have had all kind of issues with elected systems. Gas gauge say gas is empty when I just filled up, Engine light goes off and on periodically, yesterday my air bag light came on and off. 2 YEARS AGO I TOOK IT CERRIOTS FOR AN OIL CHANGE, BUT COULD NOT PICK UP CAR ON A FRIDAY SO ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY I PICKED IT AND NOTICED MY SEEMED LOW I CHECKED MY MILAGE AND SOMEONE HAD DRIVEN MY CAR BEWEEN 50-100 MILES. TALKED TO MANGER AND AGREED TO A FEW OIL CHANGES STILL NOT DONE...I Should have made a police report. Today service manger Eli was rude want to change close to $ 900 to diagnose Engine light, air bag light, and gas light??? I was told 8 months ago when they changed the engine that there was a 1 year warranty, along with the extended 150,000 mile or 15 year from Kia because of all the issues they have had with the engine. I wish I never bought a Kia they look nice, but everything is cheap. I have a 2011 chevy Equinox with over 200,000 with less issues then kia. More
Stay away from this (KIA Cerritos) Dealer! I have purchase a Kia Sportage 2023 with 0 miles on it and the first problem that i have find out is the car have problem on the air ventilation syst I have purchase a Kia Sportage 2023 with 0 miles on it and the first problem that i have find out is the car have problem on the air ventilation system (bad odor coming from it) I did let the service staff about it and let the car on service for 24hs they just put some cleanner deodorant on the system and say it was resolved, but that just did work for a couple of days and back to the same, I did let the staff know and they say it was nothing they can do about it. Second problem came with the front brakes they start shaking bad, i took the car to the dealer with approx. 12K miles on it let the car there for what they say 2 days; a week 1/2 pass no calls from them, i did call the service personel and they told me that my car was ready a couple of day ago (again call them for updates because they wont). On Dicember 15th 2025 approx. the car has 24K miles approx. and it start making bad noise on the front of it i decide to take the car to the dealer on Dicember 29th and got received for a service person with lack of manners (Gerardo) I did explain the problem and left it there a week later I did call Gerardo to find out what was happenning (because they dont call you) and he said that the car was not checked yet because they were busy. Couple of days pass and they told me it was a problem with the timing belt that they will take care if it but have to order the parts and it was in backstock so i have to wait. on January 19th approx. after I call them NO answer, let them a message, a new person from kia (eddie) left me a text saying they receive the parts of my car and hopefully will be ready Friday the 23rd (January 2025), Friday came and pass and nothing I decide to call them January 26th and got received by a a person with bad manners, rude (Elizabeth) I did ask to please give me the contact information from the manager and she just decide in the middle of the conversation to transfer my call to service departament witch of course didnt answer and just let me leave a voice message, then minutes later a nice lady from Kia cerritos contact me and did told me that eddie kia's service staff will contact me; Today January 27th eddie did left a text message saying they are working on the car and they are waiting for one part and car will be ready this Friday 30th 2026 ( "to be continued"). At this time just got to the conclusion of this is my first and LAST car that i would buy from KIA. More
We first bought my brother’s Kia Niro in December 2022. Part of the deal that justified the high price was a 3-year maintenance package covering routine service like oil changes, tire rotations, and labor. Every visit was routine and fully covered. Then came our most recent service. My brother finished his appointment, got his keys, and left. After he had already driven off, an employee called and said he needed to come back and pay for the service. This made zero sense: 1. We have the maintenance package, and 2. Why release the car and keys if payment was supposedly required? They were rude, dismissive, and acted like the package didn’t exist, even though we have both digital and physical copies. My mom went to the dealership in person and waited for a manager, only to be told we now had to pay because of “new ownership.” According to them, the new owner simply does not care about honoring previous agreements. Since when does a change in ownership void a signed package that customers paid for? If that is their logic, should people stop paying off the cars they financed under the old ownership too? The manager and employees kept pressuring my mom, insisting the only option was to pay despite us showing every receipt and document proving the package. Their entire justification was: “New owner. Not honoring it.” So she paid. And yes, our package would have expired in December anyway. But that is not the point. This was a blatant refusal to honor a contract they sold and marketed. I am sharing this to warn anyone considering buying or servicing a car here under this new mediocre ownership and management. Dealerships already have a reputation, but refusing to honor your own agreements because leadership changed is a new low. It says everything about the direction Kia of Cerritos is headed. More

I called over a week ago looking to come in for service and I was told that he no longer is with this dealership he had left and went to Mazda. After asking for several other service advisors I was told they also all left along with several mechanics and sales staff. I’m like what happened and I was told it has new ownership and everything was changed around which the employees did not like so they left this dealership. I don’t know why you can’t leave well enough alone because it was a great dealership. I left several messages for Nick and other service technicians to call me back about an issue with the Kia Telluride not one person returned my phone call or informed me about it TSB technical service bulletin on this vehicle with self leveling suspension and shock noise rattle etc.. After I made some phone calls I found out that most of my service advisors and service technicians are now out at Citrus Motors Kia of Ontario so I went out there. It was like old home week they got me in and got me out without any delay and we’re extremely knowledgeable on the issues that I was having. I hope Kia Cerritos can get it together because my experience under the new ownership trying to get hold of somebody that knew something and call me back was absolutely impossible after a full day. I would like management to know what a great example of how a "Service Advisor" is supposed to do his job. I unfortunately had to have an engine replaced for burning oil. He explained to me the entire process an assisted me every step of the way. We even spoke on his off day. It's not an easy process and yet he made me feel comfortable the entire way. I’m not interested in getting rid of the vehicle that I just paid off so I can get in debt with a new one. First it started with them contacting me telling me that the lease is almost up and to contact them so we could turn it in with the least money due upon the lease return. I made it clear it was not a lease we purchased the vehicle through Kia finance. Please stop harassing me calling me emailing me in text messaging me I don’t want any contact unless I’m in there for service with the vehicle that’s it. I’m not going to trade it or sell it please stop harassing me it’s really old. The only person I want to deal with is Victor Chen in service he does an outstanding job taking care of us and the vehicle at this point that’s all I need nothing more nothing less. I’ll say it again we just paid it off I’m not interested in trading it or upgrading please stop contacting me I can’t do anymore I’ve unsubscribed please from emails and text messages stop contacting me. My Girlfriend took my Kia in for an oil change with a coupon. It's a coupon that is on Kia of cerritos website. They not only did not honer the coupon but up sold the oil change to the tune up charging coupon. It's a coupon that is on Kia of cerritos website. They not only did not honer the coupon but up sold the oil change to the tune up charging her an extra $80.00 when I asked the service advisor why I have to pay the extra. He said Your friend signed up for the extra package. the oil change plus tire rotation. So Thanks Kia of cerritos if charging customers an $89.00 for tire rotation. Stay away from the service advisor Travis Inkster. He is a true douch bag. And looks like a crook. More
BLUF: Poor Service and Follow up process at Kia Cerritos. I leased a 2025 Telluride on 4/18/25. The sales rep was helpful, but the car was delivered with a missing rear wiper and not fully cleaned. He promised it would be taken care of, but later I found he no longer worked there. The service team had no communication, and I had to follow up multiple times with service rep (Shauna). Despite the appointment clearly stating the need to replace missing parts, the service rep was unhelpful and showed no urgency of professionalism. The issue was eventually addressed, and Shauna apologized the delay of the process. However, the car was still not cleaned as promised. I really hope Kia Cerritos can provide better customer care when I arrive there. Anyway, there was no follow up or survey was ever sent. Based on speaking friends, this seems to be a recurring issue tied to poor management. Disappointing experience overall. More
