I bought my 2016 Kia Soul and all kinds of accessories for it. I installed all the accessories myself except for the spoiler because its requires for a hole to be drilled. A few years later, I found out that the spoiler was detached on the passenger side so I called the dealer and spoke to Alberto from the service department. He told me I should have brought the car to the autobody shop instead of calling the dealer. He also mentioned that I gave him stress. He was very rude but I wanted the dealer to take responsibility to fix the problem. He scheduled me in and told me to leave the car there for two days. So I did but when I got the car back, he claimed that he put the screw on the detached part in and billed me nearly $400 for a single screw. I refused to pay but in the end he still made me pay $190. He also mentioned that what happened to me was not his fault and that Kia has no liability on what they did. Every time I call and speak to someone for something they didn't do correctly I have to pay for an additional charge? I want to discuss this matter with the service manager whose name is showed on the receipt, so I called and the phone was never answered. I left a messaged and never received a call back. Also when I was discussing the matter with Alberto for overcharging me, one of the Kia employees heard the conversation and think that what he did was not right, so that person gave me the general manager's name and phone number. I contacted the general manager and the phone was never answered. I left a message and never received a call back. I felt like I was scammed at the first time and now I got ripped off by the service department. At the same time I want to mention that every time I do a service and come back, I see scratches on my car on top of the roof and hood. I believe they put things on top of the car and drag items off when they need them. More
The Service Dept was very good in dealing with my maintenance with full explaination and friendly services, works done correctly and meet more than my expectations. Service Rep. Steve Lara was outst maintenance with full explaination and friendly services, works done correctly and meet more than my expectations. Service Rep. It took over 4 hours to get my car. I was there at 8:27am (had an appointment), my car did not get worked on till 10:31am & was done within 30 minutes for a emissions recall BUT it took an hour & half 8:27am (had an appointment), my car did not get worked on till 10:31am & was done within 30 minutes for a emissions recall BUT it took an hour & half to get the "curtesy" car wash. Unbelievable. Not to mention some worker there broke a piece of my interior in my car. I have the peoples names as well but I am a professional so I will not mention them on here but I will be contacting the KIA hotline regarding this If I could put ZERO stars on here - I would More
Against my better judgment I took my car back in to be serviced at Kia of Alhambra. A few recalls and a few things that have to be covered under warranty. Kia is currently waiting to hear back from warranty company which I understand. My issue is NOT following up with customers when you have their vehicle. It’s going on day 3 and no loaner/rental offered and no call made giving me an update or anything. When you call you can never get service advisor only voicemail. I do like the service advisor I work with just don’t like the not following up and keeping me in the loop. I guess I’m be going back to the other dealership that’s a little further way to get better service. More
This is the worse most slow dealership to get your service done. They don't respect your appointment time whatsoever. Brought in my kia for an oil change 11:15 am appointment and 1:45 pm I complained service done. They don't respect your appointment time whatsoever. One week since my last review...our 2015 Soul was towed there Feb 08. They didn’t actually start repairing it until late last week March 12th - after we showed up in person - for the 5th time. My wife's 2015 Soul was towed to the dealer 4 weeks ago for repairs. Still not fixed. No one can give us a straight answer regarding a completion estimate date. This is the second time I’ve visited their service center. They advertise a $24.95 lube, oil, and filter change on their website. The first time I visited, I was charged $42 for a package that include center. They advertise a $24.95 lube, oil, and filter change on their website. The first time I visited, I was charged $42 for a package that included a tire rotation. Today, I visited again, and I was charged $38.76 but that was without a tire rotation. I asked the employee charging me if they were honoring the $24.95 price and she assured me they were. She said that the price doesn’t include labor or taxes. That’s insane. When I look at the coupon, it says taxes not included in price but nothing about labor. The coupon says the price includes includes an engine oil change (not just the cost of oil). I didn’t want to make a scene so I just paid. I called to speak with the service manager, but the person that answered said the manager was on lunch. I asked for a call back and never got one. I will update this review if they ever call me back. More
If I could give their service department negative stars I would! At the time of this post I have been on hold for approximately 50 minutes. I dropped my car off at this dealership on 11/23. My car started to overheat on 11/16 and I drove it for less than 100 miles until 11/18 and parked it until I could get it to Kia of Alhambra because up until this experience, I have had great service and trusted them with my car. I told them that the last time I was there they told me I would need to replace the serpentine belt. So, they should check that out first. They determined that my car may need a new engine and it would take longer than expected to find the solution. So, I left the car in their care on 11/23. Gustavo (Gus), the service advisor I was working with told me he would give me a call on Monday (11/25) with an update. Gus called me as expected we discussed the fact that they would need another four hours to diagnose my car and further discussed my options. I notified him that I had an extended warranty through MaxCare. So, I gave him the number to MaxCare and he said he would give them a call. Later that afternoon (11/25), Gus called and told me he could not get ahold of anyone at MaxCare so I told him I would call him. He stated that given the holiday, I should have an update by Friday and I was okay with that. I called MaxCare on Tuesday (11/26) filed a claim and called Gus the next day (11/27). However, I got his voicemail. So, I left him a message indicating my success in getting ahold of MaxCare and obtaining a Claim No., which I provided in the voicemail. I was hoping to get a call from Gus on Friday as that was my expectation based on our previous conversation but no update was received. So, I called on Saturday 11/28, requesting the status of my car. I was transferred to Gus’ voicemail. So, I called back asking to speak with someone else. I spoke to a gentleman who said he was look into it and give me a call back and got nothing. I called today 12/2 at 1:30 pm requesting to speak with someone about my car a guy got on the line, I reiterated my plight to him as he hurried me off the phone he told me he’ll look into it and call me back but he has to take care of his own customers first. That call never came. So, I called back later in the afternoon at 4:30 pm requesting to speak to the Service Manager because at this point I’m livid! This dealership has had my car for over a week and I have no new information. In addition to that, I was left on hold for over an hour and then the system hung the call up. I called back and requested the service manager again and they transferred me to his voicemail. After this, I will NEVER do business with Kia of Alhambra again! More
KIA''s POOR AND SLOW CUSTOMER SERVICE My KIA 2013 Sorrento suddenly stopped on Mon 5, 2013 approximately 0645 am. AAA towed to KIA Alhambra Main St , CA immediately on Mon 3/5/18,.Today My KIA 2013 Sorrento suddenly stopped on Mon 5, 2013 approximately 0645 am. AAA towed to KIA Alhambra Main St , CA immediately on Mon 3/5/18,.Today, after after 5 Business day they can not tell me what's wrong with my SUV nor covered by KIA's warranty. I had my SUV since July 2012 and the mileage approximately 73, 0000 miles & have complete maintenace service records performed by KIA Service Center . Simple common sense and you don't need to be smart , of course it's covered by KIA Warranty since it is still LESS THAN 10 YEARS and less than 100,0000 miles . KIA always proudly advertise 10 years or 100, 000 miles warranty coverage for their cars but WHY their Service Center unable to answer immediately that my SUV is covered by my KIA Warranty. Until today they have not given me a definite answer about my warranty coverage. They made themselves DUMB not give me the answer and this made me doubtful on their warranty if its is REAL or FAKE. The KIA Service center and TECHNICIANS are too SLOW and no commitment to provide customer satisfaction. I called several times to inquire but the assigned Service Center Agent voice mail was FULL and unable to leave voice mail. Very unprofessional ethic and never calls you back to provide updates. We are now in MODERN TECHNOLOGIES WHO CAN DIAGNOSE CAR ENGINE PROBLEM INSTANTLY but KIA's technologies is backward that upset several customer who all learned BIG lesson & will not buy KIA anymore. I would like to call KIA Management's attention and let them know they greatly need improvement on customer satisfaction and engine diagnostic service and trained their staff on professionalism behavior.before they loose business performance improvement..
