First Purchase from a Dealer My sales woman Cindy Holcomb was a class act. She was very down to earth and made sure all my questions were answered clearly and concisely. She helped to ease my concerns with a used car purchase by allowing me to take the vehicle for an inspection by an independent mechanic. They let me drive the vehicle myself. Cindy never made me feel nervous or uncomfortable, even though I was a first-time dealer car buyer and had never financed before. She was reassuring and made sure I was happy before we moved forward through the paperwork. Janet from the Finance Department was the other rock star at Kia of Waldorf. She provided me with all the information I requested, giving me different broken-out calculations for various items like the extended warranty when requested without skipping a beat. She did not push in the slightest and when I turned down one or two items we just moved right along. I cannot thank Janet enough for taking care of my first finance decision. The dealer was able to beat my credit union and provide GAP insurance, UNLIKE USAA. I originally turned down GAP because a USAA agent told me they sell GAP insurance for a cheaper price. Come to find out after I called USAA before I drove away, that they only offer Total Loss Prevention plan that covers +20% on top of the total loss value. The second agent even explained it is not GAP insurance, but an alternative. Frustrated, I hung up with USAA and Janet calmed my concerns in five minutes. She quickly recreated the paperwork and I paid cash for the GAP coverage. I drove home with absolute peace of mind and confidence, with no regrets, thanks to Cindy and Pam!! P.S.~ If you are a cat person, make sure you work with them. They understand us crazy cat people and both are cat lovers haha. More

it's not worth buying the extended warranty!!! I purchased my car over a year ago with an extended warrant which cost me thousands. I thought that with the warranty I would save money because they would assist me with any issues. However, every time I have an issue with my car, I can never get an appointment for at least a week. I have urgent car issues but have to pay elsewhere even though I have a warranty! Ridiculous they did not even car that I was worried for my newborn and toddler in the car. More

We went to the dealership of our first choice, they were not willing to work with us on trade in, we left and went to KIA of Waldorf for our second choice. We were pleasantly greeted by our sales rep, Chris Burroughs. He, the staff including Sales Manager, Chris Austin and GM, Jeff Jacobs and Finance Manager, Janet Poloski were very easy to work with and extremely fair. The entire process went smoothly and quickly, no unnecessary frustration. We left the dealership with our new truck, great price, a better loan rate than our bank offered and without a doubt, the best experience we've ever had buying a vehicle. THANK YOU KIA OF WALDORF! Avoid this dealership! Chris the sales manager is very insensitive and hard to deal with. Ann M. She actually yelled at the young man assisting her when he tried to be helpful and give me corporate's number. When I asked why it had been 14 days with nothing done, she blamed me for taking 2 days to collect ALL of my service records for 98,000 miles. 14-2=NOTthe customers fault!!! Dean G. The head of the service department never would speak with even after voicing over10 complaints to his staff. This dealership does NOT care about its customers. Kia corporate braggs about the 100,000 mile warranty then finds any reason to NOT honor it. Nothing of which they warn you about upon buying the car. Ann MADE SURE to yell to her other assistant to make that they still charged me for "diagnosing" the problem I told her it had, when they gave it back to me having done NOTHING over 2 weeks later. The warranty is a scam! We will never buy a KIA again OR buy any car where she is In the service department. Avoid this woman and dealership like the plague!!! More
Deceptive Advertising I found a "new" 2016 Kia Optima on Autotrader.com. It said the price was $17,255. I then went to Bayside Kia's website to review the car. Same pric I found a "new" 2016 Kia Optima on Autotrader.com. It said the price was $17,255. I then went to Bayside Kia's website to review the car. Same price, same options, etc. Below the description it gave the typical "internet price change/errors" disclaimer but then listed all the different rebates priced into this $17,255 price. I qualified for all but the $400 recent college grad, $400 military and $1,000 Uber driver. So, $1,800 in discounts I didn't expect to qualify for. So, I expected a price of about $19,000 ($17,255+$1,800). However, the price I was quoted today was $26,000!!!!!! Any the explanation was that there's a disclaimer on the website. I buy cars from all over the eastern US for our 5 car family. We trade and/or buy often. I've dealt with scores of dealers. I have never been exposed to such fraud and deception in advertising on Cars.com or Autotrader.com. I just purchased a 2016 lightly used Kia Sorento SX from a dealer in VA. Never test drove the vehicle or met the salesman or anyone at the dealership, but had a great experience. Did everything on the phone. The price they quoted on the internet was EXACTLY what I paid (except they discounted it another $500). That was Don Beyer Volvo Kia of Alexandria, VA. They do business the way it should be done. I would advise that you stay away from a dealership that has such misleading advertisements. More
