I strongly discourage anyone from purchasing a vehicle from KIA of St. Cloud. In less than three months of owning a 2020 KIA Telluride with 84,000 miles from this dealership, I have already had to replace from KIA of St. Cloud. In less than three months of owning a 2020 KIA Telluride with 84,000 miles from this dealership, I have already had to replace the alternator, the transmission, and the battery—an alarming sign that the dealership fails to properly inspect their vehicles before sale. The vehicle has also required three tows since purchase. The service department’s lack of accountability is equally troubling. Upon purchase, they were supposed to replace a faulty seatbelt. Instead, they ordered the wrong part and installed it in the wrong seat, highlighting a serious lack of attention to detail. The most alarming issue occurred when the vehicle lost power completely while I was driving 65 mph on the highway, leaving me without brakes or power steering, and resulting in a collision. Despite the gravity of this incident, the dealership showed no sympathy and even attempted to charge me for a new battery that should have been checked when they replaced the alternator. It was later determined that the wrong battery had been installed, causing the alternator to fail. Lucas, the sales manager, exhibited unprofessional behavior throughout this ordeal, insisting that "a battery test isn't done after an alternator is replaced" and attempting to manipulate my words to avoid responsibility. He also admitted that the dealership does not perform safety checks after every service, which raises significant concerns about their overall commitment to customer safety. After much resistance, they finally replaced the battery, but the experience has left me with serious doubts about their service quality. I strongly recommend considering other options before doing business with KIA of St. Cloud. The Better Business Bureau has multiple cases open against this dealership, and I am not alone in my experience—a friend who purchased a brand-new Kia Carnival from this dealership has faced ongoing issues as well. I urge you to thoroughly research this dealership's track record before making any purchase decisions. More
finance guy was very rude and self centered. He kept on making snide comments. Brand new vehicle had sticky residue all over the roof and they told us to take it thru the car wash! Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. Here is my story. We have been very loyal customers for almost 8 years now. We have bought 7 vehicles from them, my wife gets her car serviced the Here is my story. We have been very loyal customers for almost 8 years now. We have bought 7 vehicles from them, my wife gets her car serviced there for every oil change and any problems she has. We bought a 2013 f150 with 189,000 miles on it for $13,000. Less than 2 months of owning it and the engine is trash. There is so much metal in the oil pan after the first oil change it's ridiculous. Plus they replaced the ABS cable but they plugged one half of the new cable into the abs system and left the old cable plugged into the other half of it, which I told my salesman. Went in to talk to them about it and see what we could do, Hugo the sales manager went and talked to Lucas the Service department manager about it and they said they did a diagnostic and it came back fine and no one saw any shaving in the oil. When Hugo asked the salesman about the abs cable he said he told Lucas about it and Lucas laughed at him. We also had them do the rust protection spray which was part of the sales agreement and it came back to us half sprayed. They didn't spray any of the top part of the frame. Hugo told me they would take the truck back for what I paid for it if I bought a different vehicle from them or if they would look to see what they could get for an engine for me and have it shipped to my mechanic.. Ok, that's fine. I told them the motor is half out and would need to be towed and they said they could figure that out later. That night they have a 2014 Silverado come in that I could look at. They gave me numbers and only gave me 5000 for my truck because the motor was out of it, even tho he said he would give me back what I paid for it, 13000. Which didn't matter because they sold it to an employee before I could see it. I ask about the motor and he couldn't give me a straight answer. My mechanic called and he wouldn't discuss anything with him for legal reason? Ok, I get it I guess. Then when I called to get more info on the engine he told me he already told me everything. When I asked about why they were giving me half of the amount back he said cuz the motor is out even tho we discussed that previously. Then I'm trying to talk to him about what was going on and he won't shut up for 2 seconds to let me talk. When I do start talking he interrupts me and talks over me. Then when I start yelling so I can get a word in he hangs up. This goes to prove that kia in st.cloud doesn't care about customer loyalty. They don't care who they screw over. I've been type 1 diabetic since I was 9, I don't have extra money to put into vehicles. I trusted them to sell me a good working vehicle and they sold me a junk truck and took no responsibility for it. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else because they will screw you over. The only good thing about this place is Sean the finance guy. One of the very very few people there who actually cares about people and doesn't see them and as a dollar sign. More
If I could give zero stars I would. My buying experience was fine. Jeff was great. I was told that I would get rust protection and paint spray as a part of my car trade in when I was buying a new Telluride. I just happened to be in town for business. I actually live 7 hours away. I was told it would be taken back and done while I was finishing the paperwork. Later on they pulled it around to the front and I assumed it was finished like I was told it would be. 3 days later or so I got a call from the service department to schedule the rust and paint protection spray. I told them it was suppose to be done cause I live 7 hours away. Well it wasn’t. Was told they would look into it and would call back. After a week of no call I called and no one called me back. I called back again and finally talked to the sales manager Scott. He said I would need to bring it in there and I said there’s no way cause again I live 7 hours away. Which they knew that. Then he says he would look into it and call me back. Never called me back. Now I have called again to talk to someone else and they said they would call me back. Still no one has called me back. I called KIA HQ and filed a complaint so we will see where that gets me. I even told them I would take it to a local Kia and they can work out the payment between themselves and was told that’s not an option. I will be making a complaint with the better business bureau. I will also be leaving bad reviews wherever I can. Worst part was I gave them a great review a couple of days after cause I thought it went well until I find out all of this. More
I bought a 2023 kia forte, unbenounced they sent me out the door without paystubs, lied to me told me it was awd, it wasn't, then kept having issues had car in there shop for 2 weeks, called customer serv the door without paystubs, lied to me told me it was awd, it wasn't, then kept having issues had car in there shop for 2 weeks, called customer service made a claim, couldn't get any documents to the claims dept, said we put in the wrong gas and it was going to cost 600 dollars , to drain the tank, replace this and that, ....wouldn't provide proper documentation of break down on repairs, repair orders have been botched cut n pasted, the papers are different for each repair order , loan paperwork doesn't match up ...now long story short the vehicle pushed out the door, with bald tires , 46000 miles 24900 now cost 35000 because they lied on all documents , needless to say I'm getting a lawyer and kia and wings financial are going to have to explain why I have all original documents and they have different or none of them all at. Very unprofessional repair work on my Kia Sorento. They called me in for a recall which turned into them doing $4k+ of mechanical work. The issues weren't even fixed after I picked my car up which mad They called me in for a recall which turned into them doing $4k+ of mechanical work. The issues weren't even fixed after I picked my car up which made me return the vehicle to ensure they fixed what I payed for. They held my car for another 3 days and squeezed $1400 more out of me to fix the original issue. How do you not do a quality check after "repairing" the quoted issues. They were not very apologetic when returning my vehicle to get the original issues fixed which leads me to believe bad service happens regularly. They are a bunch of crooks if you asked me and I highly encourage people to stay away! Had way better experiences at McKays and St. Cloud Hyundai dealerships in town. More
Absolute epitome of used car salesman xxxx. Cody sold us a 2018 for explorer that needed over $800 of work, we had dangerously bad ball joints while my wife was nine months pregnant. I called n Cody sold us a 2018 for explorer that needed over $800 of work, we had dangerously bad ball joints while my wife was nine months pregnant. I called numerous times asking for even a partial refund. Cody won't even answer his phone, and the manager Hugo tries to talk a smooth game, but then ghosts you. They put a family with 2 young children and a pregnant woman in severe danger, the mechanic stated they were the worst he's ever seen. Hope the $800 was worth putting my family in danger. More
I’ve called multiple times for a receipt on an issue the store said they would fix. It was a towing fee. My optima engine went out and it was covered under warranty. I was told by the dealership they will h store said they would fix. It was a towing fee. My optima engine went out and it was covered under warranty. I was told by the dealership they will handle the case, and I should see the reimbursement in 6 weeks. 6 weeks go by, and I’m told to wait another 2 weeks. 2 weeks ago, I’m told to wait 2 more. 2 more weeks go by, I’m told they’re behind and it may be another month. Frustrating, but I’m understanding. A month goes, I call and I’m now told it was MY responsibility to submit everything. We’re nearly 4 months out at this point and I’m just told this. I express how I haven’t been told this, and I just get shrug and I’m told to google Kia customer support and go from there. No website provided, just told to google. Submit my case, a month later, I’m told I need a receipt from Kia, not just the towing fee. I had 30 days to provide it. I call 15 times within those 30 days for a receipt (I live an hour away). I’m told every time, our service manager has to send that and he’s busy. I was told he would either call back or send the email. Literally provided the same email 15 times. Well I never get an email or a call back and my case is closed. Out 300 bucks now on a towing fee because of negligence. Update. I ended up stopping in to get a receipt (hour out of my way). Express my frustration, that I called 15 times within a month to get a receipt. Lucas’s response was, “I always call back”. Obviously, you don’t. If you did, I wouldn’t have been in there. Either way, I got a big I don’t care vibe. Anyways, I get a receipt, which he says your case should still be open, just upload the receipt. I express how I had 30 days, and that’s why I called for a receipt 15 times. I’m told not to worry about it and it will be fine. I go home, resubmit it, case is denied and now I’m having to do more work just to get a tow fee back, on a warranty fix. We’re at almost 7 months at this point. I did talk to Matt in sales and he was terrific! That guy deserves a raise. It takes a lot for me to go out of my way and leave a negative review, but I am at this point with Kia of St. Cloud. I will never shop at this dealership again because of how poorly this was handled. More
