Salem Hyundai - Our "Go-To" Dealership We have long been Ford owners and when it was time to lease another car, we just assumed it would be another Ford. The salesman - Mike Saltman - list We have long been Ford owners and when it was time to lease another car, we just assumed it would be another Ford. The salesman - Mike Saltman - listened to what we were looking for...made note of the features we hoped to get on a new vehicle...and carefully thought through our financial needs. Yes, he did show us a Ford similar to the one we were turning in...and then he "gently" introduced us to Hyundai. Quite truthfully, we had never considered the possibility of buying or leasing a Hyundai; however, the more Mike talked about it and the more he demonstrated the features of the new Elantra, the more we were impressed. We returned to Salem Hyundai a couple of weeks later, and Mike greeted us by name and with a great big smile! We asked to see and try the Hyundai Sonata (a little bit bigger car). He asked what color we might be interested in...and which Sonata model we were thinking about.....and five minutes later we were sitting in a blue Sonata Sport! (We had done our homework in between visits!) After a test drive...and going over the amazing features that the car offered....BOOM!!! We were SOLD!!! We saw the financial person....signed some papers.....and Mike was ready to turn the keys over to us - "smooth as silk"! We very much appreciated the ways in which Mike made us feel comfortable and unhurried! The entire experience was truly a pleasure for us. We have found our "go to person" in Mike...we have always liked the service department at Salem Ford Hyundai....and we really LOVE our new car! The whole process was a "win-win" as far as we're concerned! We are extremely happy and very satisfied customers!!! Thank you! More

This is my 4th Hyundai , third at this dealer. I am very satisfied with the knowledge of the sales people, customer service in sales and the service department. In particula , third at this dealer. I am very satisfied with the knowledge of the sales people, customer service in sales and the service department. In particular, our third experience with Dana Busby and we are very pleased with his knowledge and customer service - Always enjoy working with a veteran!! Armando in finance also deserves praise - very knowledgeable and professional. Sales managers (?names) also were a plus for the experience. We bought our first Hyundai for the price and warranty but return to salem Hyundai for sales and service. More

I will never shop for a car here again! I am in the market for a low mile, slightly used Subaru WRX. I understand that what I am looking for can be hard to come by, however I know they are o I am in the market for a low mile, slightly used Subaru WRX. I understand that what I am looking for can be hard to come by, however I know they are out there. I stumbled upon a 2012 wide body hatchback style WRX online at this dealership with 58 thousand miles on it. I also immediately noticed it said "one owner car". At first I was very excited thinking this could be the car I was looking for. I called about it to set up a test drive and ask a few other question about if anything was modified on it. The salesman I spoke with said everything on the car was stock except a catback exhaust which was installed and it ran great with no issues. As long as the rest of the car was stock and it ran good this could be the car for me. The next day I went to the dealership to see the car. They pulled the car up for me, I opened to door to see how the interior looked and was utterly disgusted... There were sugary drink stains all over the center console ranging from the shift knob all the way back to the center arm rest. There was white paint stains on the interior of the driver side door as well as on the driver side weather tech floor mat. There was loose change in the cup holders. In the back seat there was an empty plastic bottle. I asked how long they had the car for and why it was so dirty. The salesman's reply was "We've only had the car for one or two weeks and as you can see we have a lot of cars on the lot with a lot going on, it will be taken care of if you decide to buy the car". I popped the hood to see inside the engine bay and sure enough theres a catless downpipe installed. I looked under the car and sure enough theres no mufflers nor a resonator. I decided to test drive the car anyways. The engine ran well but I could tell the car was beaten on hard. Breaks needed replacing, suspension was shot. So when I get back to the dealership I ask for the car fax. Not only had the car been on the lot for just over FOUR weeks (as opposed to the one or two I was told) but it was a FOUR owner car instead of the one owner car as it said in the ad. The car had been on the lot for a full month and they hadn't even gone through the car as much as to remove the lose change/empty plastic bottle and clean up the sugary drink stain. The two biggest reasons I went to look at this car were the fact that it was a one owner car and I was told it was completely stock, neither of which came to be true whatsoever. I will NEVER go back to this dealership again and I do not advise anyone else to as well... More
