Key GMC has to be the worst car buying experience I've ever had. At Multiple levels this dealership presented themselves as just money grabbing vultures... I feel this is quite a shame for the poor owner of the dealership. I am coming from a different state to buy this specific year and model, a two and a half hour drive one way. I gathered the purchase agreement and did all the financials on my own to get ahead of the joke of an interest rate the dealership offered in their attempt of a quick sale. the truck was then sent out as a loaner after I made the plan to pick it up the next day... with the sales man telling me "oh it'll be here tomorrow morning all cleaned up and ready for you". Well it took a full week to get the truck back looking like someone took it mudding or to the oil fields. they put 5000 miles on the truck, so now it was due an oil change. Looking through the history it is due to have all the cases changed. to include the transmission which is known for shifting issues when overdue... well the truck is not shifting correctly as is showing. but the dealership had the nerve to try to sell me a service plan even though everything was past due... you could not care for the truck when you had it in your hands for a little over a month. Why would anyone trust anything you may think that you are doing. The truck had bald (beyond needing replacement) tires I had to immediately replace ($1300), chunks of dirt literally fell from the chassis when I closed the tailgate. they threw away the floor mats, only had a single key and key fob, and just less than a quarter tank of fuel. not to mention the salesman (Matt) was not even there when I showed up at our appointment time. He was delivering another vehicle to the owner in Maine... the state I'm coming from. Key GMC is an embarrassment to the American institution. I would not wish the service given from Key to anyone else to endure such inefficiencies at every turn. More

I've been a customer of this GMC dealership since 2018, and overall, I’ve been pleased with the service I've received over the years. The team has generally been honest, straightforward, and professional, and overall, I’ve been pleased with the service I've received over the years. The team has generally been honest, straightforward, and professional, which is why I felt comfortable returning for my recent visit. However, my latest experience has been somewhat disappointing, particularly regarding the cost and the issue with my lug nuts. During my last visit at the end of 2024, my snow tires were rotated on, and about a month ago, I had to remove my snow tires to move my camper. When I did, I noticed that all of my lug nuts had issues with their outer casing ballooning. After consulting with other mechanics I know, they suggested that the problem might be due to technicians not fully seating the socket on the lug nuts or using the incorrect size socket. When I discussed this with the dealership, they mentioned that this is a common problem with this style of lug nuts in the New England climate. To keep my vehicle safe and moving, I purchased aftermarket lug nuts for $100 and had the dealership install them while they were rotating the tires as part of their regular service. During the inspection, the technician also found a leak from the rear axle seal onto the rear brake shoes. The recommended repairs included replacing the rear axle seals, differential gasket, and differential fluid. This was surprising because I had just had all my fluids serviced in August 2024, and the leak was not present or detected at that time. Additionally, the rear axle seals had previously been replaced under warranty early in my ownership due to similar issues. What really stood out was the cost estimate for the repairs—over $1250. This struck me as excessive, especially considering the parts involve roughly $100 worth of materials and about three hours of labor. I was told this high price was due to the warranties and GM pricing policies. While I understand that dealership pricing can be higher, I did some quick research online and found many other GM dealerships charging between $500 and $700 for the same service. I’ve generally trusted this dealership, but the price discrepancy and lack of a clear explanation left me feeling disappointed. I’d appreciate transparency on how costs are determined and whether there are options to reduce the expense for such repairs. Overall, I value the relationship I’ve built with this dealership, but I hope they can address pricing transparency and continue to uphold the honesty and quality service I’ve come to expect. More

Just like every other dealership it's 1 big scam. Way over priced. I am ready to buy a car from the 90s. No xxxxxxxx scams to worry about. Way over priced. I am ready to buy a car from the 90s. No xxxxxxxx scams to worry about. More
