After an all day back and forth "gotta check with my manager" rutine, we had finally reached a price. Printed off the purchase agreement, signed by Tony (manager/owner) and I was off to find the best bank. When I had a bank that worked for my situation, I had an appt. At 10 a.m. the next day to sign papers. Tony wanted to raise the price at this point. He said he will have to think on it and let me know in the morning. Thats not acceptable. When I went down to talk in person, Tony had left early for the day. I explained the situation to the finace manager who could do nothing as Tony is the owner. Tony later had the saleman text me and say he "was not interested in selling me the truck" and tried contacting me the next day. Very shady business run by a young punk with an ego much larger than the business's reputation. His employees even asked why I would buy a vehicle here! Avoid at all costs. Will waste your time and try to sneak around. I genuinely feel bad for the salesmen, who all seem decent. John was very helpful and deserves better. Tony is the problem. More
Awful! This dealership has no clue what they are doing. We wer warned that they would make a deal then try to change it and that is exactly what happened. Th This dealership has no clue what they are doing. We wer warned that they would make a deal then try to change it and that is exactly what happened. They quoted us a price but when input came time to complete the deal they wanted an extra $40000. Needless to say we did not or will not be buying anything fromm this dealership. More
Too many "yes, buts" with these guys. In one word: Disappointed. I ordered a pickup truck as part of Ford's lease program on Sept.16, 2015 through this, my local, dealership. I was told it would be 6-8 weeks. Fine. In early November I went in to check on things and was told my name was "in the system", but they had no knowledge about when the truck might be built. I returned two weeks later and was told it was scheduled to be built Dec. 14th - with delivery two weeks "or so" later (so, we're talking New Year's). Unacceptable. I have a business to run. At this point I began talking with the manager, Tony Esposito. (I probably should've been talking to him sooner.) When I left that day he promised to: *call his district manager to see if things could be expedited. *to do a search in NE for a used truck with my spec's. Further, I contacted the salesman and asked for information about High-top vans, which I was willing to consider. So, I went on line myself - and found almost exactly the truck I wanted, except used, and in New Hampshire. I drove the 180 miles (each way) to look at it and bought it on the spot. I called Rockland Ford and cancelled the order, and was told, to their credit, my deposit would be refunded immediately. Here's my beef: I never got the feeling anyone there was advocating for me or my order. I never got a return phone call about the high-top vans, nor any info about similar used trucks in the region (I found this truck myself on Craigslist), I also never heard if talking to the area manager yielded any results. If this place were a pizza parlor, and, you, like most people, order pepperoni pizza, I believe you'll do well. The people seem well intentioned, if ineffectual. However, if you see on the menu board something a little less frequently ordered, your request might well go on the back-burner and languish. Would I go back? Maybe. If Tony Esposito were still there. Then again, I might give nearby Wiscasset Ford a try..... More
Never knew getting your first car was so easy I had been looking for a new car over the past few weeks, checking crash test ratings, servicing, gas mileage, and dependability, and after my search I had been looking for a new car over the past few weeks, checking crash test ratings, servicing, gas mileage, and dependability, and after my search was over I decided to go with a new Ford Fusion Titanium, I love this car!! The sales team was great and getting my first car from a dealership was a breeze! More
