Seriously questioning the service department Where to start..... I was able to make an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation on a Saturday which works well with my schedule. Appoint Where to start..... I was able to make an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation on a Saturday which works well with my schedule. Appointment was at 11 AM. Shortly after arriving, my vehicle was in the garage. An hour later....all done.....great! I pull out of the dealership and hear this annoying noise with a slight vibration. Thinking it was the not-so-fine roads of Exeter, I continue to travel down the road. About a half mile later, the vibration is getting worse. I then realize, it is not the roads. My rear tire is about to fall off. The lug nuts on the passenger rear tire were hand tightened at best. I would not even have made it back without having to get out and tighten the lug nuts myself. Ashley, Barber's acting service manager apologized for the incident. The service technician told me his Harbor Freight torque wrench must not be working properly. Harbor Freight, seriously? A large commercial dealership like Barber is using Harbor Freight tools? I would expect Craftsman or Snap-On. Thankfully no one as hurt and Barber is offering to replace the rim because of the damage caused by not tightening the lugs. This was my first time servicing my new F150 at Barber and I am seriously considering an alternative dealership for future maintenance. More

THE BEST used car experience ever! Went to look at a used Hyundai Santa Fe, nice car, good deal, was very happy. Purchased vehicle and while driving home check engine light came on, ret Went to look at a used Hyundai Santa Fe, nice car, good deal, was very happy. Purchased vehicle and while driving home check engine light came on, returned to dealer. I wasn't worried as it could br the gas cap or an O2 sensor. They immediately took car in and to our surprise it was a catalytic converter. Now I was concerned--but the people there said not to worry, they would rectify the problem. THEY DID! Their statement was they take care of their customers! I am 63 years old, semi-retired, and have gone thru and looked at a lot of cars so far in my life. I have never received treatment and service like this and would highly recommend Barber Ford as a dealership! For all future clients--forget the internet and all the dealerships that promise everything and are miles away. The best A-1 dealership is right in our own backyard!! THANK YOU AGAIN!! More

Was going on trip and wanted to be safe. Took car in at 11:00 and had the rest of day to work on. Called at 2:00 and said car is ready but we didn't have time to look at idle problem. When I got there, told service rep I was not happy no one checked the idle, that I took a vacation day to bring the car to my appointment that included reviewing the idle issue. The other service rep asked what didn't they do and asked if it was idling, responded, yes we felt it. then proceeded to tell me you can make another appointment to have it checked. Well, I thought I already had one ! No I will not make another appointment ... More
