Dishonest, incompetent, lazy. Exhaust manifold bolts broke on driver's side of 2017 Ram 1500. David called me after they had the truck for 1.5 hrs and told me that 3 were broken Exhaust manifold bolts broke on driver's side of 2017 Ram 1500. David called me after they had the truck for 1.5 hrs and told me that 3 were broken on drivers (I had told them the side and qty), and he told me the pass side had 2 broke bolts. I inspected the pass side before taking it in, did not find any broken bolts, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. David said the cost and time to fix is 150 for 2.5 hrs. I understood 150 is what would be expected. I tried to clarify and he doubled down on what he said. He neglected to say that I had a deductible. He wasn't clear the cost was 150/hr. The bill was 515. He said my service contract doesn't pay for labor, and labor is 2.5 hrs. What he was talking about was the fastener removal (broken fasteners needed removed). The remaining work would be 4 hrs (covered by contract). This phone call was at 11:00AM. He approved the 4 hrs with my service contract company, he told me about the 2.5 hr bolt extraction, so we're at 6.5 hrs. I only knew of the 2.5. The service center closes at 5:30, exactly 6.5 away. I asked if I could get a loaner vehicle (covered by contract) and he laughed at the idea. "The truck will be done today!" Silly me, of course it would be. I was told about the 2.5 hrs, not the 6.5. Well, it was not, and David didn't bother calling to let me know it wouldn't be. All day and evening I had no vehicle. David knew it wouldn't be finished the same day; he had 6.5 hrs in front of him. He lied to me. I thought that surely I would receive a call the next morning, first thing, but after waiting more than two hours I had to be the one to break the silence and call. David told me "I'm looking at it right now as it's in the air. It's being worked on!" He told me that the truck would be completed by 1:30 PM 'ish. I asked why it wasn't finished the day before. He told me that he didn't know how late the technician would get around to looking at it. I guess it's unreasonable to expect David to verify anything. Well we hung up and he called back 10 minutes later to tell me the truck was finished. Extraordinary! Why did he say 1:30? What did he base that on, 2.5 hrs again? Obviously he just guessed. He didn't care. Also, he incorrectly told me what they were going to do to my truck when we spoke the day before. I said "what's the fix?" He said "replace gasket and fasteners". I asked "just the gasket and fasteners? Is the thought that the gasket can seal up the additional gap with the warped manifold?" He said, "It says in my service bulletin that the fix is to replace the gasket and fasteners." He didn't bother with actually figuring out what his technician would do. He decided to say, with confidence, the gasket and fasteners were all that would be replaced. I thought 'well at least I'll still have the warped manifold, and they'll drill out the fasteners so I won't have to do it. And it's only $150.' (whoops) Keeping the original manifold was important to me, because through my research of the issue I learned that the best fix for this issue is to take the warped manifold to a machinist and have them face off the mating surface. New manifolds warp, but they warp up to a point. A warped manifold can be corrected. A new manifold will likely warp again, breaking bolts. So if I still had an exhaust leak, I can easily take the manifolds off and to a machine shop. $150 to drill out fasteners was already worth it to me. Well they replaced fasteners, gasket, manifolds, and added manifold tie bars (I had to get under my car to learn about then). Manifold is the same design as before. It will likely warp again. The tie bars prevent bolts from breaking, by restricting manifold movement. By doing this, the manifold cracks! So I won't have to drill out fasteners, but I will start going through manifolds (over $200 per) and you can't face off a manifold that's cracked. I asked if new manifold was an improved design, and David said "Yes". xxxxxxxx. More

Best Car-Buying Experience of My Life at Kernersville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram! Better than even my best in-person car purchases: I just purchased a new Durango from this dealership a few days ago. Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram! Better than even my best in-person car purchases: I just purchased a new Durango from this dealership a few days ago. It’s the first time I’ve purchased a vehicle entirely online and over the phone, and it unexpectedly turned out to be the best car-buying experience of my life. The Kernersville team made the process fast, easy, and enjoyable, even from a distance! Awesome customer service: As someone who’s passionate about exceptional customer service and who’s worked for a 7-time JD Power Award-winning organization, I really want to call out Amparo for being an absolute rockstar in providing a perfect car-buying experience. She was helpful, incredibly knowledgeable, and had the entire purchase worked out within just a few hours of my initial contact with her. She guided me every step of the way and was able to effortlessly provide ultra-detailed information about the vehicle I was interested in. Her professionalism and knowledge easily sold me on my vehicle choice without any of the usual dreaded pressure tactics you see elsewhere. Amazing logistics and some of the most warm and personable service I’ve ever experienced: Next, I worked with Mary, who equally went above and beyond. She offered some amazing tips to help with my 7-year-old daughter's car sickness, introduced me to the Mr. Bee brand of chips that has already become a cult classic in my family, and made sure even the trickiest parts of getting the car shipped out were effortless. It's rare to find such personalized support, and it truly made a difference in my car-buying experience. We’re pretty much ready to adopt Mary into our family! Good right down to the last mile: Last but not least, there was Paul, our delivery driver who headed out in the early hours of the morning (over the weekend) and had my immaculate new car parked in the driveway four hours ahead of the estimated delivery time! Paul walked me through finalizing the paperwork and was friendly, personable, and just an overall great person to work with. Final takeaway: I usually dread buying my next vehicle due to all the unknowns and past experiences, but I’m actually already looking forward to my next purchase from Kernersville. The whole team is an asset to humanity. If we had more people like the ones I worked with here, the world would be a better place. More

We live 5 1/2 hours from the dealership. My husband found the Ram that he wanted online. We struck up a deal by email, photos, etc. This was a trade in- cash deal so no financing. We were My husband found the Ram that he wanted online. We struck up a deal by email, photos, etc. This was a trade in- cash deal so no financing. We were told they may allow a little more on trade in once they saw our vehicle in person. We were told to bring a cashiers check since we were out of state. We gave a $1000 non refundable deposit with a credit card. We weren’t sent an email copy of the contract. We guessed at the amount needed and took a cashiers check and a little extra cash with us for the deal. Once we got there we were met by a different salesman than the one we originally talked with. He brought out the contract and we saw an almost $900 administrative fee added on. We weren’t informed of this up front. The sales manager was very apologetic about this and did offer to refund our deposit. She told us we should have been sent a copy of the contract before we made the trip to the dealership. While this was not a dealbreaker it was upsetting. We felt like the salesman misled us and figured if we drove that far then we would still take the truck. We did buy and everyone at the dealership was nice. The purchase was very fast and easy. But if you’re out of state make sure you get the contract emailed. We would buy from this dealership again but would make sure that we had a contract in hand when making the deal. More
