Travis Hobbs took care of me very well...I would recomend him to anyone. He is a great, non-pushy salesman and I like that. We had been looking for a small older truck. I looked on their website and found just what we had been looking for. I called the Internet Department and spoke with Brenda. She was great. I have been searching and searching for a new car that will get me better gas mileage than my challenger. I had been looking around online, comparing the Chevy cruze, equinox and the Ford focus. I started dealing with Mandy, an internet sales consultant, who did a terrific job finding out my wants and needs before making the suggestion to bring my fiancee over so we can do a side by side comparison. I'm glad I did, because after the test-drive, my fiancee and I knew right away that a new shiny black equinox was perfect for us. Mandy got us to a salesman, Marcus who was very knowledgeable and relaxed through the whole buying process. We are completely satisfied with our decision and will be sure to look up Mandy and Marcus for our future vehicle purchasing needs! Thanks again, and we will see you in 7500 miles for an oil change. Back on July 2nd I spoke with Gary Lavore at Kenny Kent Chevrolet regarding the 1992 Corvette they had for sale. I told him I saw where they listed it on Ebay the previous week with a starting bid of $7652 Chevrolet regarding the 1992 Corvette they had for sale. I told him I saw where they listed it on Ebay the previous week with a starting bid of $7652 and a Buy It Now price of $10990. The auction ended with no bids. Their website listed the vehicle at $13990. I told him I would give them $9000 cash for it. He said he would find out and let me know. I didn’t hear anything for 2 weeks, so I contacted them again. They told me they couldn’t get close to that because they had it listed for $13990. Lindsey from Kenny Kent called me back a few weeks later because they lowered the price to $10895. I made the same offer to her, so she transferred me to Brenda Sellers and then to the General Manager Todd Stephens. He said he could not go that low and would rather take it to auction than sell it for under $10000. I told him I had seen several similar vehicles sit on dealer lots for 6 months before they lowered them to $8995, then they sold. The following week they lowered the asking price to $9996. Lindsey from Kenny Kent called me this past Saturday (8-18-12) to tell me of the lower price. I called them back this afternoon(8-20-12) and was informed Lindsey was no longer employed there. I told them I would like to come down to test drive the vehicle tonight and made an appointment at 5:00. I drove down (60 miles) and met with Gary Lavore. He told me they had already sold it about an hour before I arrived. No one called me to notify me of this, so I wasted over 2 hours of my time this evening. I also noticed tonight on the new CarFax report that the registration was renewed about a month ago by the previous owner while it was supposedly for sale by Kenny Kent and that Kenny Kent relisted it for sale just last week. I’m not sure what’s going on with the vehicle or if it was indeed sold. Very poor customer service at Kenny Kent Chevrolet. More
I have had awful car buying experiences in the past, but Gary made it wonderful! I had a minimal budget and he kept that in mind. We worked together to find a car that was in my budget. Gary is an extremely friendly, genuine salesman who listens to you and does not try to pull bait-and-switch tactics on his customers. As far as new car purchasing has gone for me, I would say that without a doubt that Gary is the most professional salesman that I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with; and because of that, I plan to be a customer at this dealership for years to come. I have also had the pleasure of working with Todd on my car's build order; again, here is another person who is extremely professional and looks out for his customers. Compared to the horrible, nasty experiences that I have dealt with at D-Patrick's European Showroom in the past, Kenny Kent Chevrolet is a breath of fresh air, and I am proud to call this dealership my new go-to place to purchase a quality new or used car. I've brought my vehicle in once before to have the heater and control fixed. They fixed the control but not the heater....dead of winter is no time to have to return a vehicle for heat. That was a very telling moment, I should have learned my lesson then. My vehicle recently died and wouldn't start. Had it towed in on a Friday....was told they would have to order parts .... before a diagnosis was even performed. After the diagnosis Lisa called to tell me what was going on and said they would have to order a part and hoped it would be in on Monday. Monday 4:30 I called to find out what was going on with my car....was told the part was ordered on Monday it would be in on Tuesday I asked what part was ordered, was told the control knob. Called back on Tuesday afternoon....said the battery cable didn't arrive and will be in on Wednesday. A battery cable isn't a vent control knob. Just been lied to twice. Vehicle in on a Friday.....out on Wednesday. Five days to ..... replace a battery, perform an oil change, charge an air conditioner and fix a vent control knob. OUTRAGEOUS. Customer service was totally aware of my displeasure....when I went to pick up my car....Lisa was no where to be found. My guess is she was avoiding me. That's OK....I'll avoid Kenny Kent Chevrolet Service Department from now on. It may take awhile for me to learn but eventually I GET IT! More
Purchased a jeep, given a car fax indicating NO wrecks, assured that the jeep passed a 16 point check by mechanics, and assured that a small dent on the front air condenser was cosmetic damage only. After being given the wrong key and much leg work on my part to get that corrected, we discovered that the small dent was a HUGE mechanical issue that must be fixed. (Jeep required a new air condenser and radiator.)(We only had the car 2 days at this point, so I asked Kenny Kent to help with the costly repairs to fix the jeep. ($1456.48). I was told to get a second estimated since the first estimate was surely an up-sell. The second estimated was even larger. I was assured by both Tim and Todd that they did not know the damage was that extensive. (But, they did admit to putting a new grill on the front of the jeep after they purchased it at auction!). Anyway, I was told to do the work, and I would receive $400.00 from them to help offset the cost of repair. I had the work completed, and returned to the dealership with receipt in hand! Todd and Tim spoke with me in the office area and told me they were not giving be any money. THEY HAD NOTHING TO LOSE as I was already an unhappy customer. And, I walked out of the dealership in dis-belief! You can judge the integrity of this business on your own. But I will tell all I know my story, and I promise I will NEVER step foot in KENNY KENT again! More
