Every time my car needs a service, ALL the personnel is highly recommended. They are a good team working together to bring the BEST service. I’ve purchased two cars from Kendall Toyota and overall they have been pleasant experiences. So I was very surprised when I took my car to be serviced today and I encountered Gilberto Castro “Service Advis they have been pleasant experiences. So I was very surprised when I took my car to be serviced today and I encountered Gilberto Castro “Service Advisor”. I received a text notification alerting me I needed to take my car in for an oil change. So I scheduled a 7am appointment to try and limit the impact to my work schedule. I arrive at the dealer and Gilberto tells me all I need is a tire rotation. Well, I recently replaced one of my tires and had a tire rotation completed offsite. I let Gilberto know this and his response to me was “that’s not my problem” “you don’t need an oil change, you only need a rotation” My shocked response was “so I came here at 7am for nothing?” Again Gilberto’s rude response, “that’s not my problem, then you don’t need service” seeing that I was only getting attitude from Gilbert I asked him to please call his Manager. His response “He is inside, go get him”. Well I had to go search for the manager office. To be fair when I found him, the manager was professional, apologized for Gilbert behavior and miss understanding and had my oil changed within 30mins. I understand this is a car dealership and transactions are usually unpleasant and the workforce is not the most educated but I expected better customer service from Toyota. My family chose Toyota for the quality of their cars but their customer service training definitely needs some work. Or maybe this is isolated to one bad apple, Gilberto Castro. He should probably find himself a job where he doesn’t need to deal with people. More
