I believe I was not told the truth about my vehicle trade-in, which was a 2012 VW Jetta TDI. It was blatently undervalued in our negotiations by at least $3,000 according to the Kelley Blue Book valuation guide for trade vehicles. I believe I was cheated and I would caution anyone thinking of doing business with this dealership to reconsider and take your business elsewhere. While the sales person I worked with could not have been nicer and more knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in, the finance/paperwork staff are precisely what we all fear in a used car lot: untruthful hucksters out to take advantage of their customers. I was very needy and the salesman Shawn was patient and very helpful. We made a deal that was very satisfactory. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new car. very helpful. This is my second trip to purchase a Subaru in a little over 13 months. Both times I visited Kendall Subaru John took time and pride in listening to me about what was important in a car. I didn't feel pr over 13 months. Both times I visited Kendall Subaru John took time and pride in listening to me about what was important in a car. I didn't feel pressured as if he simply wanted to sell me any car, he wanted to take the time to get the right car for me and he even followed up with several calls since I purchased the car in May to make sure everything was okay with the car. Now that my Legacy is almost 5 months old I already have over 20,000 miles on it. And YES you read it correctly I purchased and picked up my Legacy May 20, 2011. I put about 80 to 90 thousand miles a year on my car and I look for several things. First I want a dependable car, both my Subaru's have been. Second, I need a car that gets good gas mileage and is all-wheel drive at the same time. I average just under 36 miles a gallon going to and from Portland from Eugene, and when I get home at the end of the week I'm still averaging over 30 MPG. I will be calling on John again within the next year for my next Subaru because I know that John understand's the key to being successful. It's not just a sale it's a relationship. Thanks again John! John Pease is wonderful salesman to work with, he does not mess around and “do the car lot thing,” you ask questions he gives you the answers. If it is something he has to research he does the research and gets right back to you. I asked him a couple of questions that I knew the answers to, to see if he would treat me honestly and he passed with perfect honesty. Good job John. As friends and family show an interest in my Subaru and how wonderful it is in the snow and ice it is my privilege to be able to call John up and ask him to assist my family and friends so they too can be driving the best and safest auto in the world. John Pease was a pleasure to do business with. We drove several Subaru's, all of which I liked, however, with my limited budget, the Toyota Rav 4 fit a little better. I ended up buying it. You would have t several Subaru's, all of which I liked, however, with my limited budget, the Toyota Rav 4 fit a little better. I ended up buying it. You would have thought John was a Toyota salesman. He allowed me to like what I liked and didn't try to persuade me to like something different. I recommend him to everyone, including family. He has sold an Outback to my daughter and a Chevy truck to my son-in-law. Just today, he sold a Honda to a friend of mine. So - all great where he is concerned! It was also a pleasurable experience with Sean, the floor manager. Had a friendly back and forth with him. Thank you Kendall Subaru! More
Subaru makes a darned good car! I am now running my third consecutive Subaru and couldn't be happier and my experience with Kendal Subaru has been fantastic. After an accident that totaled my first Subaru consecutive Subaru and couldn't be happier and my experience with Kendal Subaru has been fantastic. After an accident that totaled my first Subaru outback wagon I went into Kendall Subaru looking for a new Subaru. Of course I was highly tempted by the beautiful Impreza wrx however I went the economical route and got a slightly sportier version of the Outback wagon, the Outback Sport. John Pease was a pleasure to deal with, very personable and in no way pushy about a sale at any point during our discussions. We both new what we wanted and the transactions happened quickly and easily. Upon driving the Outback Sport for about two years I brought my car in for an oil change. Paul the manager of the day asked if I would be interested in selling my car? I thought hmmm maybe, that blue 2011 wrx sure looks great. Of course the resale value of subaru came through and I left later that evening with a brand new wrx! Again with the help of John and this time Paul. My old Outback sport sold the very next day! Thanks to all the folks at Kendal Subaru. They all know me on a first name basis and always greet me with a smile when I come in whether its for service, just to chat or even to talk about different models of Subaru. Friendly and knowledgeable folks. I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a Subaru. More
Shopped the website, called Bradd Borneman to inquire about purchasing Factory Certified, low-miles, 2009 Forester. Bradd did some on-line research for me and then referred me to John Bergland. John call about purchasing Factory Certified, low-miles, 2009 Forester. Bradd did some on-line research for me and then referred me to John Bergland. John called me and I gave him inventory numbers of 6 vehicles I was interested in, and one that I was particularly interested in. He asked me pertinent questions and mentioned some other units that would fit my budge and transportation needs, including new vehicles. When I arrived at the dealership for my appointment, he had THE PERFECT CAR for me, just waiting for me to test drive. During test drive, he chose streets that would best illustrate the particular features I was interested in, especially the "on-the-fly" transmission capabilities. Wonderful appointment, and he and Stacey even made the paperwork portion of the appointment easy, quick and painless. Thanks a bunch!! I love my Subaru!!! Already went and played in the mud with it yesterday!! More
I want to acknowledge Nick Smith in Service and the woman (Bonnie?) in the showroom last Sunday who took my message about needing emergency service on my malfunctioning cooling system that she passed on to N (Bonnie?) in the showroom last Sunday who took my message about needing emergency service on my malfunctioning cooling system that she passed on to Nick -- in writing! I came in early Monday morning and Nick most helpfully and efficiently got the car to the mechanics who diagnosed the problem and replaced a bad thermostat. Like a doctor delivering a baby Nick regularly gave me updates on the condition of the patient, thereby calming the anxious parent down. My wife and I had come from Redwood City, Calif. (some 600 miles away), to visit our son at Univ. Ore. for the weekend when the cooling system acted up. Of course, we didn't dare drive back on Monday as planned, so Kendall came through with flying colors (forgive the cliché) More
