Good initial service. Very poor follow-up. I brought my outback in for a warranty issue. Kendall got me in quickly, which I appreciated. When I got my car back, a button was missing on the dashboard. They said they would look into it and call me the next day. So far I have had to call them three times and I have yet to get a call back. It seems like a trivial thing, but taking things apart and putting them back together and customer service is your job. I didn't mind the button issue (people make mistakes, no big deal) but not following up to fix the situation has me a bit irked. More

They all did a solid job with repairs, parts and costumer service so i felt confident that Kendall would also be the right choice for my Subaru purchase, and they were. Yesterday, my service appointment was to diagnose a possible brake issue. After a complete brake inspection, the vibration i had reported revealed itself as a tire out of balance. I had been mentally prepared for the expense of a brake job, but was pleasantly surprised to only pay for a tire re-balance. This also gave me much peace of mind before I began my 850 mile drive today. With this being my third service experience in the past few months (my other two were Express Lube and a headlight replacement), I have noticed some consistent qualities within this service department: attentiveness, professionalism, efficiency and fairness. And it wasn't just my experience either. As I sat in the waiting area, i had overheard one of their Service Advisors giving a repair update to a customer. The Advisor asked the customer how long they had intended to keep the vehicle and then gave a "priority list" of items that needed attention. This approach immediately caught my ear as my older brother had been a top level Service Advisor for 30 years at two Southern CA car dealerships. He would also use this approach to help his costumers to evaluate their repair strategies and folks loved him for this and his honesty and candor. I feel that Kendall Subaru strives for that same high level of integrity that my brother reached for every single day for his customers and that's a rare find. Thanks again Kendall for another top notch customer service experience! More

Kendall Automotive is the best. When my mechanic told me he could no longer work on my '84 Jetta (couldn't get parts) I started my hunt for my last car (Seriously, I'm 71). I bought my 2012 Subaru Outback at Kendall Ford in 2014. They let me take it to my mechanic to check it out. He advised that I have them do a few things which they did without charge ($1500 worth). They took care of the little things as well - again at no charge. I've had a couple of things done at Kendall Subaru, the last being a catalytic converter. Yes, $$$$. They took excellent care of me, and even found me a discount. They are the nicest dealership I've ever dealt with. More

My experience on this particular service visit I can only share that on this particular service visit, it was excellent because of Josh McClary, a service consultant and Dan, the mechanic. They were friendly, communicative and informative. I will point out, though, the problem was a minor one and my 2015 Subaru was still under warranty. I have never had my car serviced at Kendall. When I purchased my Subaru in 2015, I discovered the tires were filled to a level of 60psi.. Needless to say, I lost my confidence immediately when I discovered this. If they could sell me a vehicle with dangerously filled tires, what does that say about their service department? Added to the my decision at that time was reading some of the reviews on this website and other websites.. The reason I took my car in this time was because my local mechanic advised me to since my car was still under warranty. When I spoke to Josh about my distrust, he explained that Kendall has made it their priority to focus on answering and satisfying customer complaints. He explained the mechanics are getting better trained. Josh's salesmanship made me reconsider about having my car serviced at Kendall, if this is the case. I will think more on it before I make up my mind. More
Poor Communication We had battery problems with our Outback we felt as though the service tech did not believe us when we described the problem. When we finally picked our Outback up after the battery had been replaced the service tech a man don't know the name was arrogant, short and very unfriendly. No thank you was offered when we picked our car up. This is very different from the service Tech's at the Chevy store, I have my Silverado serviced here and they are very upbeat friendly concerned and have a can do attitude. None of this is true of the Subaru dealership, I am amazed as it is owned by the same company. I think the service Tech's either need more training or they should work at the Goodpasture store for a month to get a feel as to how to treat people. The Tech's at the Chevy store are #1 in my book and I wonder if I can get my Subaru serviced at the Chevy Store!!!! I am not too interested in returning to the Subaru store!!! Thank you More

The service was done quickly and additionally the team replaced the straps holding the battery which were missing at no charge. The battery had been purchased and installed elsewhere. The overall experience was great. One recommendation: open a dealership or service center in Roseburg, save us the commute! More
