I went to VW San Tan to just start looking at cars to possibly trade in my aging BMW. I will start by saying that their customer service and dealership alone sold me. 1. Loren was fantastic and ve possibly trade in my aging BMW. I will start by saying that their customer service and dealership alone sold me. 1. Loren was fantastic and very honest. He told me everything from the good to bad on the cars and won my trust. He was very knowledgeable about the cars and never once did he have the characteristics of the "pesky car salesman." He went out of his way after I had picked out my car to make sure it had everything I wanted at no additional cost to me. 2. Christian Harding in finance was also amazing. I brought my fiance along and he was dreading the finance portion as he did not want to be up sold on everything we "just had to have." Again, Christian was very honest, answered all of our questions and was hysterical along the way. 3. John, the owner of the dealership, was also a part of the deal and he came out to go over the numbers with us. There was no going back and forth and he gave us the bottom line numbers and showed us all the calculations behind it (even their commissions)! He has a great dealership with the right formula to win people's business. I have always owned BMW's and with that comes a very nice dealership with perks. This VM dealership had everything that BMW did and I cant imagine now going anywhere else. They have definitely won over a lifetime customer and I would ref. my family and friends. More

i was looking for a VW GTI for a few weeks before i checked out San Tan. I met up with Ron Sund who helped me with some new information about GLI Jettas. I never new about them and as it turns out it w checked out San Tan. I met up with Ron Sund who helped me with some new information about GLI Jettas. I never new about them and as it turns out it was more towards my needs then a GTI. The GLI is a GTI in a jetta body. I got the 34mpg turbo car i wanted and i still can't believe how much room the jetta has. Ron went above and beyond what i have experienced when buying the past 3 new cars i have bought, and the dealership has stood behind their word and commitment on everything. Great experience and would recomend to anyone looking for a new or used car, or suv More
What they sold me: 2008 jetta gli, 4 oil changes, new tires, well maintained former employee(service tech)car,73k miles with all recall work done, 80k service, former calender car(while it was lowered), a tires, well maintained former employee(service tech)car,73k miles with all recall work done, 80k service, former calender car(while it was lowered), audi wheels, computor reflash, cold air intake, after hours use of shop for lower labor rates, 4 almost new tires from previous owner with at least 3 of the same make, 6 thousand miles left on certified pre-owned volkswagen warranty. What i got... a abused car with existing engine problems that started 1.5 weeks after i purchased car, no pre-owned volkswagen warrantee(turns out you can only get one transferred from a private sale)i found this out when the engine light came on after 1.5 weeks. Soo soon that the 3rd rate warrantee they sold me wasn't even in effect. I thought they should take care of this issue due to the 30 day garrantee in the contract. Wrong 250 dollars later i got a new 0.2 sensor. They wouldn't fix it until the warrantee went into effect. The service writer told me that with the code that came up, that was the first thing they replace to see if it fixes the problem. Shortly after that the engine light came on again and the car was running poorly again.(engine misfire). This time they said it had a cam-bridge gasket leak and was fouling plugs from misfire. 250 dollars later i picked the car up again. They said it needed spark plugs because they must be fouled and would set the light off again. I called warrantee people to ask why they weren't replaced when gaskets were done(fouled plugs due to falty gaskets). Wrong again, and the technician at warrantee co. told me not to replace them, that they wouldn't be bad because the strong spark on healthy engine would clean them. He said not to waste my money on something that wasn't broke. Shortly after that the engine light came on and San Tan Volkswagen had a new service writer(the second replaced tech. since this all started)He told me i should have put the plugs in it and that was what was wrong, causing a misfire again. I said i wasn't spending the money at their shop, that i was going to do it,(i have built cars as a hobby and am qualified to do work)He said that was fine. Shortly after that the misfire was back and engine light back on. The new service writer was puzzled( his name is jeff )and was going to try one more thing. Some type of de-carbonization. 3 days later the engine light was on and car barelly able to get out of its own way? Jeff is a very nice man to deal with and he told us he didn't know what was wrong with car, nor did any other technicians there? While this was going on i had a oil change done there. One week lator the oil light came on, I checked it and no oil showed up on dipstick. I put 2 quarts of oil in it to just make it visible on stick(all the way at bottom)so my wife could go to dealer in the morning. Jeff was baffled and embarrased. It seems that the service dept. didn't put enough oil in car for some reason. Great, i drove car for a week with about 2 quarts of oil in it. On some visits the service dept. would make me make an appointment to get the engine diagnostics done.(10 min.s work)Including the first visit when i hadn't even had the car 2 weeks. Other times they would run it in the back for 10 min.s and i would at least know. Due to the high turnover rate it seems the new people who didn't know me or care about my issues would just turn me away. Also when my original tires wore out to the wires on the inside of the tires i was annoyed because i knew that when you lower a car the camber must be adjusted due to the suspension geometry changes. As well as when you put the car back to stock height. Turns out that the car wasn't gone over like the used car contract sais it is supposed to. I had been already fighting with them over the new tires we agreed upon and i threatened they with a bad review on all the rellevant web sites. All of a sudden a change of heart. They made me write a sparkling review before they would replace the tires. Which i did. I was suspitious of them and made they promise to get a tire made for the car, compatible with what was on it. I specified that the new tires had to have a rim protector bead to keep my wheels from getting damaged. A sport tire like the tires that come on the car new and were on it when i bought it. When i picked up the car i was shocke to see a tire that rolled away from the rim, almost like the wrong size. They were nexuns for something. The cheapest passenger tire not made for the jetta gli that i owned. I drove away in discust.Since then the beautiful black wheels on my car have been scraped due to no protection. The wheel stick out past the tire.I have been sick over the purchase of this car since i bought it. I am convinced it is a unfixable lemon.(convinced by them that its unfixable)Also the former owner and employee moved on less than a month into my ownership. so much for lower labor rates and private mechanic. Also the tires he gave me were all mismatched and useless. One of my main concerns when purchasing a used 18k dollar vehicle was reliability and to not have to spend money on things like tires 6 months into ownership. Thats why i bought it. They promised me all these things. I started talking to them about a buy back due to lemon laws. It seems like they were willing to due this if it didn't cost them anything. Well thats impossible because i now have 20k miles more on the car, but the issues were there before i bought it. The car fax showes multible check engine light issues month after month before i purchase it. Also it shows a car that had been abused, 2 complete front bumper assemblies, radiator, and suspenssion issues all due to being to low and damaging front end. All i wanted was for them to buy back the car at purchase price and i would buy another from them for same value. I have a wife and 2 little girls that drive this car every day and it runs on 3 cylinders everytime you accelorate. Its dangerous to drive not to mention limitted to local driving only. The general manager John Ellegard said it was my fault because i put the oil in it?, and put the spark plugs in it myself and that he would see us in court!!!! This dealership should be blacklisted from any positive reviews due to their making me (maybe others) lie in order to get what we originaly bargained for. I have given them much room to fix this issue but now its come to this and a lemon lawsuit and maybe a fraud case!!! More

So when my spouse was in need of a vehicle - I told him I really want to go back to SanTan. He agreed. Now if they can make me a nice deal on another lease for myself that would be really cool:) More
My first appointment with San Tan Volkswagon didn't go as smooth as all would have hoped but I will spare the details because they went above and beyond to make sure they had a happy customer. Christian worked with I dealt with Seth Madison and Christian Harding, both of whom treated me with respect and good humor. No pressure, just info. Christian worked with me to provide financing options and a transaction I was happy with. Seth took me patiently on several test drives and explained all the goodies and features of the Passat. It kinda felt like Seth and Christian were old friends from high school who knew a lot about cars, financing, and warrantees and were helping me make my best decision. If that sounds 'cheesy' I can understand but that's really how it felt. They really wanted to help me do what was best for me, not ring up a sale. It was an experience which stands out from the others I've had while shopping. They both went out of their way to help me after the sale. It was the easiest buying experience I've ever had. More
