The process to get the repairs covered took approximately 1 month. This is out of Ken Garff Nissan’s hands. Unfortunately, if I paid for the repairs and picked up my car before a decision by Nissan Motors, I would have been out the full repair cost as Nissan would not pay me directly. My car sat for an additional 5 days after I was notified by Nissan they would cover the repair. I am unaware of Ken Garff Nissan attempting to make contact the Nissan Consumer Affairs on my behalf and was frustrated trying to get the parties to communicate the repair was being covered at 90% by Nissan. At the time I authorized repairs at the reduced negotiated price I had no assurance that any of the repair would be covered. To be clear, David suggested talking with Nissan consumer affairs after I came into the service department to talk about the excessive repair quote for both Labor and Service. I do appreciate that David and John quickly rectified the excessive price, but am still not happy that I had to be knowledgeable enough about the industry, the repair and have access to the labor information to know that the original quote was incorrect. I still encourage Ken Garff parts and service customers to verify they are receiving a competitive price for the repair by asking for an quote from Nissan Dealers in Salt Lake City where there is greater competition for your business.
