I submitted a downpayment and order on a truck and had the price changed multiple times to over 10,000 more than I put in for and then they beat around the bush with me for 2 weeks and then basically tell me to xxxx off. Andrew was very difficult to work with and was no help and very unresponsive I don’t get why they would list a truck when it was unable to be sold and needed a ton of work. I will never purchase a vehicle from here nor will I recommend dealing with them 0 stars, very poor management. More

Ken Garff’s slogan is “We Hear You,” but my experience with Ken Garff Ford in American Fork was the complete opposite. In my experience, they do not hear you — they lie to you, ignore you, hang up on you, with Ken Garff Ford in American Fork was the complete opposite. In my experience, they do not hear you — they lie to you, ignore you, hang up on you, and make you feel like your concerns do not matter. I have purchased more than 20 vehicles in my lifetime, and I have never been treated with so much disrespect by a dealership. I ordered a custom Ford Bronco with a custom top, and what should have been an exciting purchase turned into weeks of mistakes, poor communication, and broken trust. I was originally scheduled to sign for the vehicle at noon, but the custom top had not been installed yet, so we postponed signing. That was not a big deal. Mistakes and delays happen. Once the work was supposedly complete, I signed and picked up the Bronco. When I asked my salesman, Joel, how to open the automatic top I purchased, he said the people who knew about it were gone and that he would let me know the next day. I had asked Joel several times before this to make sure he ordered the correct top, and he repeatedly assured me he had. The next day came, and I heard nothing from Joel. Once I figured out that the wrong top had been installed and texted him, he finally responded and said he had no idea what happened and that they would order the correct one. I was then told that, for the inconvenience, they would not charge me for the install, but that I still owed $2,000 more for the correct top. I was upset, but I understand mistakes happen, so I complied. Two weeks later, I was scheduled for the new top installation. The day before the appointment, Joel texted me and said the company had sent the wrong one again. I said there was no way this happened a second time, and I did not believe a third party had just randomly sent the wrong top again. I asked for the invoice, and Joel sent me a quote instead, as if I would not know the difference. At that point, I asked to speak with his manager. Hours went by with no call. I called the dealership, and Joel answered and addressed me by name because they had caller ID. He promised the manager would call me. Three hours went by, and no one called. I called the dealership again and was hung up on. I called again and was hung up on again. This happened three times. I texted Joel, and he said the manager, Kellen, would call before he left. Kellen never called. I had given this dealership no reason to treat me so poorly or disrespectfully. I was simply trying to get the vehicle and custom top I ordered and paid for. That night, I called corporate. The next day, my finance guy called and said he was handling it now. He admitted Joel had ordered the wrong top again. I was told it was ordered and would be here when it got here. I then waited days trying to get a tracking number and had to keep begging for updates because I had surgery coming up and needed the top installed beforehand. The poor communication continued. The finance guy also started ignoring me when I told him my trade-in had still not been paid off and it was getting close to 30 days. This dealership took 35 days to pay off my trade-in loan, which almost caused me to have a 30-day late payment. The correct top was finally installed after my surgery, so my husband had to pick it up. No one showed him how to use it. No manager greeted him. No one apologized for the mistakes, the lies, the delays, or the way I had been treated. This entire experience ruined the excitement of buying a new vehicle. The salesman could not do his job correctly, ordered the wrong top twice, lied about what happened, and then I was ignored, hung up on, and ghosted by management. The overall attitude felt like, “Just deal with it.” Ken Garff says, “We Hear You.” Based on my experience, they do not hear you. They lie to you, ignore you, hang up on you, and make excuses. I will never buy another vehicle from Ken Garff Ford in American Fork, and I would strongly caution anyone considering this dealership More
Is a zero possible? IF so that would be my formal rating. Simply put this dealership is less than reputable...it uses shady tactics (last minute chaning of #s) and the IF so that would be my formal rating. Simply put this dealership is less than reputable...it uses shady tactics (last minute chaning of #s) and the after sale communication/support is absolutely non-existant. I have waited for more than 2.5 months for a credit for an extended warranty that I cancelled less than 30 days after purchase (I red the fine print of the warranty and it was highly suspect), my date DMV and the bank which financed the vehicle still do not have the required paperwork, and their level of interst in resolving these issues appears to be non-existant. At this point, there seems to be little recourse other than filing formal complaints with the Utah dealer vehicle licensing division, a consumer complaint with the Utah Attorney General, and placing a claim against the dealership surety bond. IF you purchase from this dealership...good luck! More
I want to be transparent because I wish someone had warned me before buying here. While the vehicle itself seemed fine initially, my experience with the finance department was frustrating and stress warned me before buying here. While the vehicle itself seemed fine initially, my experience with the finance department was frustrating and stressful. I felt rushed and pressured into purchasing additional service contracts without adequate time to review the terms. There were also serious issues with how my credit was handled that were not clearly explained to me at the time, which significantly damaged my trust in the process. Within three days of purchase I discovered the vehicle had an oil leak and a broken gas-tank release lever. The repair was extremely minor (about a $5 part), yet the dealership refused to address it. After the sale, communication became extremely difficult. When I attempted to get clarification or cancel add-on contracts, responses were delayed or nonexistent until I escalated the issue. Even then, the cancellation process was far more complicated than it should have been, and I was shorted approximately $800 from my warranty refund despite cancelling within 14 days and never using it. Additionally, the dealership failed to submit my DMV paperwork. I only learned this after my temporary registration expired and I contacted them confused about why my plates had not arrived. The paperwork was finally submitted roughly 40 days after purchase. Overall, the experience felt opaque, high-pressure, and dismissive once paperwork was signed. I strongly recommend that anyone purchasing here take extra caution in the finance office, ask for everything in writing, and fully understand how credit and add-ons are handled before agreeing to anything. When purchasing a car from a dealership many times financing will be available through the dealership itself. In these cases the dealership will get the money for the consumer to purchase the vehicle at what is known as the “buy rate” of interest from a lending institution and then pass along the “sell rate” of the same interest and increase it to the consumer, with the dealership taking the inflated interest rate as additional profit. The dealership may even lower the purchase price of the vehicle knowing they will get a greater sum of profit from the consumer in the end run. I was aware of this practice but I had the means to pay for the new vehicle outright along with my owned truck with title as a trade. The price and all aspects had been prearranged between my self and the dealership and when the truck arrived I was told if I would finance the purchase instead of paying out right an additional $3000.00 would be taken off of the price. I agreed knowing I would pay it off and keep the additional discounted price. What I was not told by Ken Garff American Fork Ford was that my credit report would be accessed 5 separate times substantially lowering my credit score. Additionally I had no way of getting the loan repayment information until the loan began going into default, so I payed it off in full. Do not fall trap to dealer negotiated financing, get your own financing arranged BEFORE you start looking for a car. Go to your own bank, or any other means, but avoid at all costs dealer negotiated financing. Ken Garff American Fork Ford may claim they listen but does nothing for the consumer. Ken Garff American Fork Ford is the type of dealership that cements why people hate car dealers! More
Purchased on-line 12/29 delivered 1/5. Only one key fob, 2 keys, one of which did not work. Tire jack was missing. Vehicle had scratches and small dents not shown by sales staff. Tires nee Only one key fob, 2 keys, one of which did not work. Tire jack was missing. Vehicle had scratches and small dents not shown by sales staff. Tires needed immediate replacement due to wear and were not as represented by sales staff...pictures were sent, but lacked tire measurement depth. I paid for vehicle transport, not it being driver to my address. I would not have purchased this vehicle if the above issues were disclosed prior to purchase. Sales staff at Ken Garff Ford American Fork were not honest. Do not buy from this dealer. More
GREAT DEALERS VS REALLY BAD DEALERS always comes down to service after the sale. What will make or break the entire experience all depends on the staff who serves you after the purchase. I have purchas to service after the sale. What will make or break the entire experience all depends on the staff who serves you after the purchase. I have purchased 10 to 15 new trucks in the last six or seven years from different dealers and Ken Garff ford American Fork is hands-down the WORST dealership I have dealt with to date. I will say, Ken Garff Ram West Valley, as well as Ken Garff downtown Salt Lake have been pretty good with my car and truck purchases. But whatever is going on underneath the circus tent at Ken Garff Ford American Fork is embarrassing to say the least. I’m sure there are good people there, so I hate to lump all of the people at Ken Garff in with their general manager, sales manager, as well as salesman Kris Talbot. Avoid these people, and you may have a better buying experience than I have. Troy and Becca in commercial service are 5 stars and represent Ken Garf at the highest level. Don’t take my word for it, read the reviews ahead of mine. This is not a place you want to spend your hard earned money. As a previous reviewer wrote “ they will lie right to your face and not even flinch”. And they are right. More

They assured me that any issue would be covered since I purchased the highest level warranty. However on returning home we had a problem and the warranty (which is an IN HOUSE warranty owned by this auto group) refused to cover most of the repair. I reached out to the dealer and had extensive talks with them where I was assured they would take care of me and I would not be "left hanging" This was NOT true. they stopped answering my phone calls and texts and are doing nothing to help. DONT BELIEVE them when they say they will take acre of you after purchase. DONT believe them when they say they are reputable. In my opinion. More
This car dealership is horrible! They will lie right to your face about what your warranty will cover and couldn't give a rats a$$ about you when you are having issues! You are kin They will lie right to your face about what your warranty will cover and couldn't give a rats a$$ about you when you are having issues! You are king of the castle until the purchase has been completed. Once you sign the papers, they could care less about you, issues with the vehicle, and especially any questions or concerns you may have! You will get the run around and never get a return call back. This is in regards to Kevin in sales, Caesar the sales rep, and Jason the financial boss over sales at this dealership! PLEASE STAY AWAY! More
