we came looking for a lease on a vehicle that would cost us pretty much what we had been paying previously and that is what we left with. The sales person, John, took us out on two test drives and was very us pretty much what we had been paying previously and that is what we left with. They were very helpful in finding a car that I wanted quickly and helping to finding a loan that would help me get the car. I was able to leave with the car that day. quickly and helping to finding a loan that would help me get the car. I was able to leave with the car that day. More
Worked with Salesperson Peggy Grinley. She was very friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the product. She answered all of our questions and we feel that we were treated fairly. I a friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the product. She answered all of our questions and we feel that we were treated fairly. I am not surprised by this becasue she came highly recommended from a previous customer. We also spent some time with Tony (sorry I cannot remember his last name) who also showed us many of the features of the vehicle and set up the Bluetooth o our cell phone. Overall a very positive experience. We will recommend this dealership, Peggy, and Tony to our friends and family. More
My husband and I took off from work the other day to go look at cars. We ended up at Kia and started to walk around. Peggy came out and greeted us and asked what we were looking for. With that description look at cars. We ended up at Kia and started to walk around. Peggy came out and greeted us and asked what we were looking for. With that description she was more than helpful and by the end of the day, after looking at several other dealers, went back to Kia and bought the car we test drove. Super pleasant experience. Thanks for that. More
It has been 10 years since I was in the market for a new car. This time I had the benefit of shopping on the internet before going to the dealer. I was more than satisfied with the experience at Mentor Ki car. This time I had the benefit of shopping on the internet before going to the dealer. I have been extremely satisfied with Mentor Kia. Whether its an oil change or something minor like my door handle being broken, the staff have always been friendly. When I drop off my car the service people its an oil change or something minor like my door handle being broken, the staff have always been friendly. When I drop off my car the service people at the counter are great. I usually wait in the waiting room and alot of the staff will walk by and smile at your or say hi. You are made to feel like you matter. When I buy my cars from a dealership i prefer to take my cars to the dealership they were purchased at for all the work, I use to deal with a local dealership by me for my other vehicles and they are pretty rude and act like smart xxxxx and have talked down to me like I am stupid. I have recommended this dealership to my friends and coworkers. A few months ago I was in for an oil change and there was a customer being rude to the staff, when one of the staff appologized for the customers behavior to me. It's things like this that keep people coming back. More
I would give Mentor Kia an "it depends" as far as would a recommend the dealership. I posted my review on their Facebook page that included the good and bad. Apparently the dealership only allows as would a recommend the dealership. I posted my review on their Facebook page that included the good and bad. Apparently the dealership only allows positive comments to remain posted because my posting was apparently deleted. I pretty much expected that would happen. I want to make it clear that since we ended up agreeing to the purchase it was out fault for not holding out for a better deal or going elsewhere. This is just a warning to those who go to this (or many others) to not buy into the false claims in the dealership's ad's, etc. We went to the dealership during their last "event" which claimed they would give you up to $5,000 more for your trade in. Yeah right!. We received a total of $500. That would be fine but don't make outrageous claims that you do not live up to. We informed the salesman that we wanted to pay $15,000 out the door after the trade on a new Kia Soul. We were told that there was no way he could do that. Again that would be fine but once again don't make those claims in your flyers. If they even gave us a liitle more than the car was worth, they could have came close to the $15,000. We ended up paying the $15,000 for a 2012 Kia. We informed the salesman that we wanted the 0% financing or as close to it as possible. We had no debts and excellent credit. We also informed them that we already had a pre-approved loan with a low rate, not 0%, that we could use. We were told that they would beat that rate at least. They didn't. They came close but didn't beat it. The finance department had alll the paperwork drawn up before we ven had the chance to discuss the rates. Once again we could have walked but didn't. We should have insisited they lower the rate or we would go elsewhere. A minor item was they were offering 15 dollars in golden coins-five just for coming in, five for a test drive, and five after buying. We ended up with only 10. We made sure we received those before agreeing to purchase, but forgot to ask for the other five after doing so. We do want to state that the dealership repaired both the front and rear brakes for no cost. My wife mentioned after the test drive that the brakes didn't feel right. I didn't notice until about a week later. I contacted the dealership and the owner made sure they were repaired without cost. Make sure you also get the Car Fax report. We didn't receive it until we asked for a copy when we contacted them about the brakes. This probably was just an oversight. The salesman and everyone were all very nice. We will see how we are treated as we bring the car in for maintenance, etc. So be careful with any claims (as we all should know) made and be willing to walk if you don't get the deal you want. Perhaps the dealership can get a more positive yes to being recommended in the future. Now it will have to remain a maybe. More
