Salesperson Bob Novak was amazing, taking the time to thoroughly answer all of our questions and patiently walking us through the features and options, all without any pressure. The entire process was transparent, stress-free, and focused on our needs and budget. Donnie Whittington in finance was also fantastic—friendly, professional, and truly had our best interests at heart. This is the third time we've had the pleasure of working with Sales Manager Ian Franz, and every experience has been outstanding. By the time we left, we felt completely confident in our decision and absolutely satisfied with our new Tiguan. What truly sets Kempthorn apart, though, is their post-purchase service. I had a nightmare situation with Kempthorn Motors and their service department which really could of been avoided with just some basic communication from their staff. No one their seems to communicate wi their service department which really could of been avoided with just some basic communication from their staff. No one their seems to communicate with each other and they certainly did not communicate with me regarding my car repair. I brought my car in to have some work done under warranty which I was originally told was a vacuum leak so theyd order the parts and it should only take a few days. After about 2 weeks of hearing nothing I finally called the service department to check the status on my car. The answer I received is we are just waiting on the new engine to arrive. Apparently they decided to just replace my entire engine instead but didn't think it might be important to notify me the owner of the car that they were going to replace my entire engine. Fast forward another month forward and the new engine finally arrives they install it. I get a call asking if I was having any issues with my brakes when I brought the car in which I was not so they determined that the rotors had rusted frozen from sitting at their lot for 6 weeks waiting on the engine. They went ahead and replaced the rotors and brakes and I finally had my car back. I ran into multiple issues when finally getting my car back. The first being after driving my car for a week I went to use the emergency brake and it was completely limp and had been disconnected. Again this something that could have been solved by some simple communication. If there is an issue with the emergency brake at least contact the customer and give them the option to fix it before just disconnecting it without telling me. For one its a pretty big safety issue to just disconnect the emergency brake from someones car without telling them about. Secondly they could have just fixed it while they had my car already in there, I would have been happy to pay for it if it was not covered under the cpo warranty, but at least give me the option before disconnecting it. My check engine light also began to come on within a week of the installation of the new engine causing new issues and repairs. More
I haven't received good service here in the past and knew I should not have returned. I have had to fill out paper work 3 separate times for a vehicle purchase. The ineptitude is beyond unbelievable. My needs came first when helping me select a vehicle to replace my Malibu. I did not feel hurried to make a selection. The dealership is very efficient in helping its customers purchase the right vehicle and getting the best deal. Also, Jay made follow-up calls to make sure that all was going well with my new purchase. He emphasized that if I have any concerns or questions, do not hesitate to call. That type of environment is most appreciated from me because I feel that I can call Jay and receive a sincere conversation about any issue that needs to be addressed concerning my VW Tiguan. More
