Within minutes of sending my email my phone starts ringing and it's a salesmen leaving me a message to call him back. If I wanted to talk to a pushy, greedy salesman I would have called or shown up in person. I requested a quote online because I prefer to deal with car dealerships via email as it saves me a lot of headaches. I ended up purchasing a new Toyota from Arlington Toyota as they were smart enough not to call and harass me the instant I asked for information online (amongst other reasons). This was my first real experience with a car/truck dealership, and it was beyond my expectations. Jackie seemed genuinely interested in finding me a vehicle that I was not only interested in, but felt dealership, and it was beyond my expectations. She followed up with me many weeks after I purchased the vehicle to make sure I wasn't having any problems, and was glad to help me when I did have some questions. Chip was a great help when I went to get my vehicle serviced for the first time at 5000 miles. I didn't really know what I was doing but I could tell that he did, and he made everything very simple and explained the process for me so that next time I'll have a better idea of what I'm doing. The servicing did not take that long at all and everyone was very friendly with me. More
Darryl programed the car's blue tooth function to match my cell phone. Mike T. kept in constant contact, with us, to make sure all was well, with the car. Jackie is a good saleswoman. She is very knowledgable about the cars she sells. We had a price in mind when we came in to buy a car and she came very close to that price.She actually drove hours to get t about the cars she sells. I have been pricing and waiting to purchase a new vehicle for close to a year. Donald was the first person I met and when I went back to shop I had the pleasure of having him help me. First, let me say this; Pierson has a very good service department, probably the best in town as I have used them for two other Toyotas that I own. Their whole sales approach on the other hand gives cars s department, probably the best in town as I have used them for two other Toyotas that I own. Their whole sales approach on the other hand gives cars sales people a bad name. I wasted an hour and a half of my life there after researching cars on line. they had a car on their web site equipped exactly the way I wanted it and the exact color combination for $28,360 (with all MFG options-with all MFG handling fees on a base of $26,275). I gave the vin number to the sale person over the phone and said this is what I want. When I went there, I told them I may on may not trade my car, but asked them to put a value on it if I did. as my car was being valued, the sales person had me look at the car she could sell me, a different color, the same mfg'ed equipment and an addenda sticker of $3K over the MSRP of $28360.00. Bait & Switch? Before she could give me a price on her vehicle or a value on my trade, I was handed a piece of paper to sign called a work sheet stating that if we are to come to a deal, I would obligate my self to do business that day-NO WAY! After being asked what I wanted my payment to be each month and telling them that my payment is not a consideration in the deal, but if I don't trade, I wall put $5K down. The sales rep come back with a price that is $4K over MSRP, a trade-in value that was on the very low value of Kelly for my car and calculated payments after putting the added $5K down along with my trade. looking at the monthly payments, the loan had to be at a sub prime rate .because they were $178.00/ month greater than I ended up with, but when if you spend $8K more for a car, that happens. There are three other Toyota dealers in Jax and I have purchased from two of them with minimal xx. Keith, I say this to you because the comment from three people was, Keith wants us to get more for our cars and I can appreciate that, It just wont be from me. Went to Arlington Toyota later that day and bought the car for a very reasonable good deal with more for my trade and worked of a price between invoice and MSRP. They sell so many because they sell them for $8,000.00 less on the same car with the same options (including the $3K worth of addendum Items for $988.00) with a lot less xx. More
