We were promised some missing items after we purchased the truck. We received some and were promised a manual. Our salesman passed away and we then had to work with the managers. They never came through n the truck. We received some and were promised a manual. Our salesman passed away and we then had to work with the managers. They never came through nor called back. One wanted to argue and tell us we shouldn’t have purchased the vehicle before getting the items. I have no owner’s manual nor jack, which we discovered missing after a flat tire. Poor customer service and follow through. More

Yes, I am a veteran, a 4 time combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and still serving. However, this really shouldn't be a factor but I bring it up because they make claims to support troops and even offer a supposed Military Appreciation Program. All this in less than 24 hours of having the truck and only driven 20 miles: - Driver side view mirror inoperable (supposed to have been fixed while I waited a week to pick up truck) UPDATE.. Working now, must be intermittent. - Driver seat cushion is worn away (not ideal for a former paratrooper with neck and back issues) - Radio won't connect to XM (Thanks for the free trial) - Driver and passenger door wouldn't latch (headed out to the truck at 5am to go hunting and my doors wouldn't latch shut. Thanks for ruining mine and my son's hunting trip) - Truck bounces and rear end is canted (shocks and struts need replacing) - Needs alignment - No spare key - Tires worn unevenly (needs replacement) All this after it had been thoroughly inspected by their service department. I hate to think of what all else is wrong with this truck. If this is how they actually treat a veteran then you may want to think twice about purchasing a vehicle from here. More
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!I purchased a DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I purchased a brand new 2020 F150 5.0 V8 3 months ago at Keith Hawthorne Ford in Belmont, NC. It currently ha DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I purchased a brand new 2020 F150 5.0 V8 3 months ago at Keith Hawthorne Ford in Belmont, NC. It currently has 3,362 miles on it and the engine has failed. I call my salesman from Keith Hawthorne, Tairon, to let him know what has happened and to ask what I need to do. He tells me he’s going to call me back after he finds out my best route. In the meantime, he tells me to call Ford roadside assistance. I never received a call back from Tairon and he will not call me back or reply to my text messages. I called the dealership where I purchased the truck. I spoke to a salesman that I originally talked to when I first called about the truck named Ben Okoduwa. He told me that it is not the dealerships responsibility and that once I have the truck in my possession, it is my responsibility to maintain the vehicle. He told me that “it is my truck now”, - as if the issues that I am having are now my responsibility. The conversation got heated and I ended it because it was going nowhere. He spoke over me the entire time and never allowed me to get my point across. I had 0 confidence in Ford after speaking with him. I called the Keith Hawthorne dealership back and spoke with a sales manager named Nathan Burden. He was extremely professional and polite. I explained what was happening and told him what Ben said. He told me that I needed to contact Ford CRC, and assured me that my issues would be covered under manufacturers warranty, and gave me the number to ford CRC. Edit from October 12th, 2020: I spoke with Mike Grayson on September 17th, 2020. For peace of mind, he said he would contact Ford to get me a free extended 100,000 mile warranty. I haven’t received a call or email back from Mike. Edit from 10/21: I have called Keith Hawthorne Ford and Keith Hawthorne Hyundai countless times this past month trying to get in touch with the general manager, Mike Grayson. I have left my name and number with each receptionist numerous times. I have even had 2 service managers from the dealership text his phone with my contact information. I haven’t heard back from him at all since we last spoke back on September 17th. Every time I call in, I ask if he is at the dealership. The receptionist has told me that he was there each time I called except for 1 week when he was out of office for vacation I believe. This leads me to believe that he is avoiding taking a call with me. I understand he is busy, but there is no excuse for this. At this point, an email would suffice, but I can’t even get him to reply back to emails. It’s very disappointing to think that I drove out of state to give them my business, and he doesn’t even have the respect to give me a call back after all of the issues I’ve had with my F-150. This is the first time I have purchased a brand new vehicle. I cannot express how awful this experience has been. A brand new 2020 F-150’s engine should not die out after 3,000 miles nor should a general manager of the dealership not return my calls and messages. When I expressed that I wouldn’t have any peace of mind after getting back into my truck after repairs, Mike told me he would personally call Ford to get me a free 100,000 mile extended warranty. I have no confidence that he has even attempted to try to call Ford seeing as how he can’t even give me a call back. It has been 41 days since my truck died out, and it is still in the service department. The issues with my truck on top of the issues with Keith Hawthorne Ford has me extremely frustrated. After dealing with Mike, Ben, and Tairon, I will never purchase a Ford again. Edit from 10/22: I finally got Mike on the phone on 10/21/2020. He told me he hadn’t returned my phone calls or replied to my emails because he had been in Kansas for general manager school. I find it hard to believe he was in Kansas for over a month. He told me he would make a phone call to Ford and contact me within the same day. I still haven’t received a call or an email. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! More
