In the finance managers own words today, the listed price is only to drive in customers. Well it did bring me in today but the mandatory 3k protection plan and unwillingness to honor the listed price u price is only to drive in customers. Well it did bring me in today but the mandatory 3k protection plan and unwillingness to honor the listed price ultimately drove me away. This is a clear cut case of false advertising, predatory and deceptive practices. I went in to keffer VW today ready to drive away in a new car. I searched and compared costs, milage, yr, ext very carefully and had found the car I wanted but already in the highest end of my price range. I'm a single mom of a special needs 5 yr old little boy, i also work full time with extremely limited free time to test drive cars and make the purchase, my time is valuableand they wasted too much of it. I test drove the car, loved it, started paperwork and that's when it all went downhill. The price they were financing was almost 3k more than the listed price. I was told this was for the protection plan, and that it was mandatory for every single car they finance. He told me the website said this in the fine print, when it actually says the protection plan IS NOT required for financing. I read the ENTIRE fine print on every centimeter of your website. This is a clear cut case of false advertising. I told the financial manager I would happily purchase the car for the listed price but he would not remove the extra plan and honor what the car is listed for. He also told me every single dealership will add this on, and within just a few minutes after leaving and a few calls I found that not to be true. He insisted he paid more for the car than what is listed and that HE was loosing money on the car as is, when I go to the website to read all of the fine print, the price of the car has now dropped by $200 after I left today. I took photos of the all of the paperwork to solidify my claims. This was a sale, not a lease! It should be optional like evey. And to note, I'm not talking about taxes or dealership fees that are to be expected. More
I want to draw your attention to Keffer dealerships. What your pricing does not reflect is that all Keffer dealerships charge a non-negotiable “protection plus” charge of $2,900. This is not introduced What your pricing does not reflect is that all Keffer dealerships charge a non-negotiable “protection plus” charge of $2,900. This is not introduced until you are ready to buy one of their cars. Yes, the price listed as a “good” deal on Edmunds would be good if this additional charge was not tacked on. Classic bait and switch. My specific experience was with Keffer Volkswagen located in Huntersville, NC. We were paying cash and ready to purchase but walked away because we felt “duped.” For their price of “protection plus”, I would rather save the money and have the car ceramic coated! If you aren’t going to give people a choice, at least tell them about the hidden charge up-front. And don’t advertise a VIP 3-day sale when you aren’t going to offer reduced pricing from the advertised price. How is that VIP pricing? More

This has been by far the worst management staff i have ever dealt with at a auto dealership. I purchased a vehicle in Jan and the post sales interactions have been nothing more than extremely frustrating ever dealt with at a auto dealership. I purchased a vehicle in Jan and the post sales interactions have been nothing more than extremely frustrating. I have placed several call into the dealerships, txt messaged my sales rep, each month and have yet to have a manager call me back or acknowledge the issues with my purchase. I have went as far as to reach out to the leadership on Linked in to get a response which did work for a manager that is no longer there. Beware, Beware, Beware, the Passat is working fine however the missing items and $$$ issues post sales would make me think twice before ever purchasing anything from any Keffer Dealership... More
