They were not able perform the job for 2 days and said I first had to purchase the parts from their parts department. Their parts department did not have the keys in stock and would not let me order over the phone with a credit card. I hung up and called Mazda of South Charlotte. They had the parts, reprogrammed the keys the same day and charged $300 less. I highly recommend staying away from these guys More

I am s I am not only responsible for my adolescent daughter but also for my senior mother, who lives with me and had cancer surgery this past year. I am sharing this to put into perspective my experience with Keffer Mazda. Keffer Mazda charged me $1,150+ tax and did not repair my Mazda 3. I don't have this extra money to throw away! It was Keffer Mazda's mistake and poor diagnostic assessment that caused this to happen. My passenger airbag light was on and I was advised that only a dealer could repair or reset my vehicle's computer (this is actually inaccurate by the way as after my debacle with Keffer I took my vehicle to a local repair shop and they fixed the issue). I was advised by Keffer Mazda that the bill to repair the passenger seat weight sensor was $1,150+ tax. When they replaced that weight sensor it did not repair the issue and the passenger airbag light remained on. I was then advised by Keffer Mazda that the issue was not the passenger weight sensor and now they needed to review the SAS control module but could not promise that would repair the issue either but it would cost an additional $1,459 to keep trying to repair it. At that point, I paid the bill and took my car elsewhere. The local repair shop advised me that the passenger side weight sensor was never the issue and the diagnostic assessment should have started with the SAS control module. I spoke with Keffer Mazda manager - Todd - but he advised that the certified Mazda mechanics knew what they were doing. They obviously did not. So long story short, I am out of $1,150.24 + tax for nothing. Keffer Mazda did not make an offer to retract these unnecessary charges, even though they were completely incorrect regarding their diagnostic assessment. On top of that they gave me three different prices to replace a key fob and also were incorrect on how long a key fob reprogramming would take. At first I was advised it would be 15 minutes but when we brought the car in, they then advised it would be up to 90 minutes for programming. I will never take my Mazda back to this dealership. More

Suggested next step to replace the instrument cluster. Discount Tire fixed the issue in their parking lot in the rain without charge in 5 minutes. I expected a premium service going to the dealership and that is not what I got. Whitney was calm dealing with a very frustrated customer. More
