Kearney Mesa Ford doesn't appreciate customers from out of San Diego county nor has any integrity. I found a 2022 Ford Maverick online and reached out to confirm availability. After receiving their price quote I agreed to it 100% without any negotiation. I only asked if it could be delivered to me as logistically it would be challenging. I did however say that I would figure it out if otherwise not the case. I've made prior purchases basically online for 2 other vehicles which where some distance and in Los Angeles county where traffic is much more horrendous than Orange County or San Diego traffic. I was provided a link to apply to Ford's site and this page asked which dealer was I going to go with which of course was Kearney Mesa Ford. Seconds after the submission the site said I was approved and to provide the reference number to the dealership which I did immediately. About an hour later I was told to fill out another online application but from Kearney Mesa's website because they can't get the initial one from Ford. I applied immediately and texted that it was good to go. Literally minutes later I'm being told that someone else is looking at the vehicle and if they don't proceed with the purchase it would be mine. I can say being upset is an understatement but I kept it cool and professional as getting angry gets no one anywhere. I called and spoke to the manager in which I was told I was given the wrong application and that the owner prefers to sell to San Diego residents. I was promised that the next vehicle would be mine which I know is a false promise as inventory of Mavericks and especially hybrids are going to be very challenging to acquire. And don't forget I was told SD folks get priorities so why would I be in line for another vehicle? I basically wasted my time and effort and now have 2 credit inquiries on my credit reports. Thank you...not! More

Ali is hands down the best sales rep EVER!! I bought my first Ford in 2016 and came back in 2021 when it was time to trade in, specifically for him!! We had moved to AZ but came back on the basis of what a first Ford in 2016 and came back in 2021 when it was time to trade in, specifically for him!! He makes it completely comfortable (yes it’s possible for a car sale to be comfortable), from the test drive to not pushing you past your limits! You tell him your goal, and he tries to get you as close to it as possible. YOU are the focus, not the car. And that’s why I will continue to refer my friends to him. I purchased a new Ford F150 XLT from Dustin and Kearny Mesa Ford while I was deployed overseas. Not only was the sales process professional, transparent, and straight forward, but their price was the Mesa Ford while I was deployed overseas. Not only was the sales process professional, transparent, and straight forward, but their price was the most competitive I could find on the exact vehicle I was looking for. Dustin and the team worked with me on some unique requirements required to close on the purchase - notably a power of attorney and the routing of documents from overseas. They definititely went above and beyond expectations and I greatly appreciate their assistance. When my wife came in to finalize paperwork and pick up the truck, Kearny Mesa Ford was well prepared and experience was as efficient as possible. I have a company car. One time I brought it here, the repairs were way more expensive than I thought they should be but...the company pays for it, so I gave it no mind. Well, the other day, my boss speci repairs were way more expensive than I thought they should be but...the company pays for it, so I gave it no mind. Well, the other day, my boss specific said, that the DMV requires our vehicles to get checked. It's a basic checklist of things. We were told to not spend more than $50 to get this done, as many mechanics do it for $29. I told Alisha, the service rep helping me. She looked at the checklist of things and said, "Oh, all of these things we do for free with the oil change." (I had also told her I wanted an oil change). The grand total was $262, which was utterly ridiculous. I asked them what happened to it being free, and was told "We didn't realize some of the stuff isn't done with the oil change." Okay, well, if one or two of the things weren't, how does that add up to that? I wouldn't spend $92 for an oil change (which is what they charged), when quicky oil change places do them for $45! I specifically wanted all the stuff done, and under the price I was quoted. They're justification is that they called the fleet vehicle people to get confirmation. Yet they didn't know, our boss was given orders, to not spend more than $50 for the checklist of things. Now, when I go back to work (as I did this on my day off), I have to deal with all this, my boss, and our fleet -- which is most definitely going to be asking for a refund, on the wrong price we were quoting. There's something just so disgusting about a dealership trying to take advantage of a company, knowing if it's a "company car" the customer won't complain, as they're not paying out of their pocket. It makes you not trust them, and I certainly don't at this point. More
