My 2001 750iL developed several vexing problems, one of which was an intermittent electrical issue that was causing my alarm to go off and the battery to drain. After taking my car to another (much more proximate) BMW dealership for a diagnosis and estimate of repairs, I was floored at their diagnosis and potential cost to repair. I decided to get another opinion, and took my car to Knauz for their analysis. My Service Advisor, James Matus, carefully explained what would be done to ascertain my car’s problems, and each step of the process Knauz would undertake to make the repairs. It did take a while, but Knauz was able to identify the problem, which was totally different from what the other dealer said needed to be done, and not nearly the cost. James Matus is one of the most professional and knowledgeable Service Advisors I have ever encountered. James's careful analyses and thorough explanation of what was being done to my car every step of the way was of constant reassurance. He treated me as if my car was his car, and constantly made sure that I was satisfied. I would highly recommend Karl Knauz Service Department in general, and James Matus in particular. More

Joe and Gus deserve the gold star awards after my car spent 30+ days in the Knauz BMW Service Department. While the team spent weeks trying to diagnose a mysterious knocking noise, Joe kept me informed o spent 30+ days in the Knauz BMW Service Department. While the team spent weeks trying to diagnose a mysterious knocking noise, Joe kept me informed of any updates, and always made sure that things were good on my end with the BMW loaners that I was always provided. My car even encountered a cracked windshield during a snowstorm as a result of a windshield chip, and the dealership offered to pay part of the bill even though they were not asked to, nor required to in any way. The icing on the cake was after picking my car up after this extended service period, issues arose (only days after my factory warranty expired) that were also excluded from my extended warranty. The repair parts and labor totaled more than $700, but to my surprise, the dealership covered the costs because there was no way of knowing whether or not the issues arose during the extended stay at the dealer. These guys go above and beyond what any dealership I have ever worked with has in the past, and I would recommend them to anyone. There is no question that I'll be buying my next car from Knauz. I bought my car from Knauz and I also have my car serviced there. My car came off of warranty last year and I ran into some issues that required repairs. Gus is always friendly and extremely helpful when I’m there. He strives to make the drop off process as quick as possible because I am usually on my way to work. He also calls and provides the status of the service to make sure that I am aware of what’s going on and an approximate time to expect the service to be complete. My car had an issue and I had to have it towed to Knauz late in the evening after the service drive was closed. Gus called me first thing the next morning to tell me that he already had the car checked in and had a loaner waiting for me. He always takes the initiative to keep customers informed. I rarely have to call in and check status of my vehicle. I appreciate that because I know I don’t have to worry about my car while it’s there. He will also humor me when I send emails asking questions about the car. He is quick to respond with information or he will quickly call me to talk to me about my question(s). Gus always explains what repairs or service the car may need in a way that I understand it. He also tells me if I have some time before the repair/service is required or if it is something that needs to be done as soon as possible. I have never been to a dealership where the service advisors were friendly, until I went to Knauz. Before I got this car, I thought it was customary to be rude to customers after the purchase was complete. Knauz provides a friendly atmosphere with a great staff. The work they do on the car is great. I never have issues. They don’t take advantage of the fact that I am a girl that doesn’t know anything about cars except how to step on the accelerator (and the brake on occasion). They make their customers want to come back just for the service they receive. More
