Appointments Don't Matter I schedule my services at this location and I make an appointment every single time. I always bring my car in at the scheduled time but my car is nev I schedule my services at this location and I make an appointment every single time. I always bring my car in at the scheduled time but my car is never ready to be worked on. I am not sure if they work slowly, or if they service others before me, but I am forced to wait 4+ hours for a simple oil change and standard service. I understand if the previous appointment goes slightly over, but it is unacceptable to blatantly disregard the schedule. I have time commitments that I have to make and I honor them so I expect to be treated the same way. I will never buy a Hyundai again and I mention these experiences to anyone I know who is considering buying a car from this location. More

I have always got my car serviced here and had great service. However, their service department today was the worst I have seen. My appointment was 9am. It appeared they overbooked and it seemed they were very unorganized. Some people seemed to get in very quickly while others had to wait. They wouldn't allow me to wait on my car because it would "take too long" but weren't willing to loan me a car to go to work. I had to rent a car at Enterprise, which was an extra cost. This really didn't make my oil change cost less than other places. I didn't receive a call telling me my car was finished and ready to be picked up. I even called to get a status and was never called back. I just showed up after work to get my car and it was done, but they didn't know where it was. I will NEVER go back. More

I have never been so pleased with the overall attention that I have received while I am on my 2nd Hyundai, both purchased at Shawnee Mission Hyundai. I have never been so pleased with the overall attention that I have received while working with the people here. I am very pleased with the service department and use it for all my service needs because they get it done in a very timely manner and never do extra work that is not necessary or wanted. The showroom is very pleasant and the people are so friendly. I am delighted to have found the experience of the Hyundai and would recommend it to all my family and friends! More

Go to one that values customer service and takes responsibility for their mistakes (or at last one that returns phone calls). We purchased a Hyundai, from a different location, a few years ago. Our car is involved in a program that requires us to "check in" our mileage every so often for a gas reimbursement, due to a mistake in the MPG testing. Last November my husband stopped at this location to do so. A few months later, after we hadn't heard anything, he called to check in and was told they had no record of our visit. Not wanting to go back, we asked if they could just do it over the phone, since we had already come in once. They could not, we understood. Since we were about due for an oil change, we waited a couple weeks and he took the car back mid Feb. We again heard nothing. I called after almost 3 months to check in and was sent to the service department. I spoke with a nice employee who told me he was sorry, but I would have to come back...a third time. I asked to have them manually check it in from the mileage they would have logged due to the oil change - he said he'd check with his manager, who was at lunch, and call me back. That did not happen. I called back at the end of the day, was told the employee was there, and then was transferred to voicemail. I left a message, explaining the situation, and asked for a call back. Two days later, after hearing nothing, I called AGAIN, and asked for a manager straight away. I was told he was now out of town. Frustrated with the amount of wasted time, the excuses (I had been told that it was the fault of the "technicians" who they assume would do their jobs, as well as the fact "we can't know for sure it wasn't entered - uhh, 6 months and no record does actually give a good ability to know for sure), I contacted a different location, got a district number, and went over their heads. We will never use this location again. I still have never received a call. More

I HAVE had regular maintenance on my car. I had it in 4 times in 6 weeks for sluggish driving and knocking( one time they changed a spark plug for this) They couldn't find the problem,but assured me it was OK to drive and NOT to worry as I was under warranty( 34,000 miles)! I left dealership on a Mon,and on Wed had to have it towed in. This is when they informed me the engine was blown. They will not cover it,as I'm missing 2 receipts for oil,just oil. I have all other 5 receipts for oil change. Then they told me they would work a good service deal since I had bought 5 cars over the years from them. That General Manager was fired 30 min after our conversation. Today I spoke with new GM again stating "I have bought 5 cars from your dealership over the years" GM response" That doesn't really matter as Hyundai sells billions of cars a year " Me- " you really did not just say that to me"? GM- " just stating facts ma'am " DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this place! More

However, after being told the tire was unrepairable, the SMH team told me over the phone that my only option would be to purchase 4 brand new tires for the vehicle. It sounded sketchy that my quick $30 tire fix was turning into an $800+ full replacement, so I opted not to — and thankfully so! When I picked up the vehicle, the technician's report simply recommend that I purchase a single new tire to replace the one that had been damaged. This was infuriating given that at least two separate associates "confirmed with the technician" to tell me that I needed 4 new tires. As a very capable independent woman, I'm disgusted by this behavior and attempt to take advantage of a returning customer. I expected much, much more after my purchase experience, but clearly the service center cannot be held to that same standard. I will not be back. More

However, their service is department is the worst I have seen. They always overbook. Many times, I was turned back even when I scheduled factory recommended maintenance days ahead. How can they get busy when I reserved that slot. Another time, I offered to leave my car for two days just to service it by Hyundai certified techs. No luck, always busy. I really believe techs are swapping slots for people they favor and perhaps claim the customer did not show up when they were really turned back - in their own scheduled slot. I take my car elsewhere where it can be serviced in less than an hour. So disappointed customer. More

After the purchase of used Ford Escape, the check engine light came on indicating a problem with the emission system. Everyone we spoke to at the dealership stepped up to the plate to resolve the problem. After the service was completed, my wife was caught in traffic on the way to pickup the vehicle. She spoke with Johnny to let him know she was going to be late. He stayed late on a Friday night to make sure she was able to pick up the vehicle. Thanks to all involved in solving the issue. More
