I had the opportunity again to work with one Phillip Marinakos. My wife and I traded in our old 2006 Nissan Quest for a 2007 Honda Odyssey, and when it came down to the wire, Phil did not disappoint. My wife and I walked into the dealership to pay Phil a visit; saying hello, (had NO intentions of buying here b/c we assumed that all of the Honda Odyssey's would be out of our budget) and happened to just ask him what his stock was like for Honda minivans. Phil instantly located one that fit within our budget, didn't pressure us to go outside of our means, listened to why we needed another minivan, and proceeded to aid us in locating the vehicle. Furthermore, I wanted to switch tires from our old van to the new van, as the old van had Continentals that I wasn't too eager letting go. Phil accompanied me to VA Tire and Auto while my wife was at work for the tire exchange. Mind you, Phil was in the dealership on his day off. He followed me to VA Tire and auto on his day off. If you're looking to buy a car and desire peace of mind, honesty, respect, and an individual that will go the extra mile for you before, during and after the sale, Phil is the guy. Long as he works there, I'll buy from him. If he leaves, I'll follow him to the next dealership. More
Excellent service! I had been dealing with an electrical issue for some time, I took it to jkoons and there were able to resolve the issue. Not only did they resolve it, but were not at all judgemental. They had no issues with a 10 year old vehicle and treated me as if I had just bought the vehicle. Thanks service team!! More
Unsatisfied and Irritated I had written a previous review about this dealership, more specifically for the gentleman who sold me my vehicle from here a couple of weeks ago. Th I had written a previous review about this dealership, more specifically for the gentleman who sold me my vehicle from here a couple of weeks ago. That review stands and is the only reason that this rating is 2 stars instead of 1. However, after the vehicle was purchased, everything went downhill. I had sold the dealership my old car and was supposed to be cut a check and have it in hand within 3-4 days after the Sunday that I purchased my vehicle. When we don't get the check by the time they specified, my family calls to follow up. We're told something that makes absolutely no sense, AND on another note, they messed up our contract and we had to go back down to the dealership and sign another one. While there, Omar from Finance apologizes and reassures us that everything is correct this time and also lets us know that we should receive our check in a couple days. Again, a couple days pass and NOTHING. We don't even hear from them. So we call the store and speak with Omar. Omar says that he doesn't know what was going on, but that he will speak to the manager as soon as he gets off the phone and will follow up with us in the morning. We also email the manager and tell her about our frustration. The next day, I receive a phone call from the manager, Angela, and the Finance Director, Andy. They told me that they weren't able to cut our check because the "paperwork hadn't gone through," but that they'd "break the rules" this time around for us and cut us a check early. Gee thanks, And wait, there's another kicker, there was yet ANOTHER ERROR in the contract. My family and I had to go back to the dealership YET AGAIN and sign a revised contract. They offered to come to our house, but they have no place coming to our home. Would they like it if we went to their personal home to do business? This is BUSINESS and should be done in a place of BUSINESS (although, it's clearly not run well). I show up to the dealership and am greeted by Omar. He is polite, apologizes and shakes our hands and leads us back to Andy's office and says that he'll be able to help us. Andy was one of the worst people I've worked with. In the middle of stating my frustration and that I feel uncomfortable signing yet another contract, he interrupts me and begins to speak over me. That is just rude. You do not have to agree with what I am saying, but you do have to treat me with respect and listen. It's also best not to tell the customer they are wrong. Yes, as you said to my face when you interrupted me: "we're all human, we all make mistakes," however, generally people don't make the same mistake 3 times. Also, managers or directors of businesses generally shake their customers hands, but at the end of signing the contract, he didn't shake our hands. He didn't even stand up; he just looked at his computer screen. Before even meeting him yesterday, he had emailed us saying that we didn't sign all of the paperwork required when we purchased my vehicle. We emailed him back saying that we did to which he replies that he overlooked it. Not a good impression. How is someone like Andy the Finance Director? How is it okay for him to treat the people who walk into your business's doors the way he treated me? Absolutely not acceptable. I highly suggest avoiding Andy if you decide to conduct business here. I also warn you, that while things may seem okay at the beginning, when you first purchase your vehicle, expect that there will be more issues to arise and A LOT of them. Save yourself the hassle and trade/sell your car to CARMAX. They offered me the same money for my vehicle and would've cut me a check the same day. Even if CARMAX is out of your way, like it was for me, it would've been well worth it to go there because having to come back to Joyce Koons Manassas Buick GMC 3 times to fix a contract is ridiculous and more time consuming then driving to CARMAX. More
