Service department doesn’t know what’s going on with a vehicle when it’s in the shop. They rely on the technician to do all the work and the associate in the office has no clue where it is in the repair s vehicle when it’s in the shop. A warning light came on about my break pads, and although I’ll need to bring my car back in for that fix, the technician was able to check my brakes and assure me that the car was safe to drive. My Brand new 2025 Traverse had a catastrophic transmission failure driving on the highway. We had it towed back to Joseph and they harassed the tow truck driver. I was given a loaner car that w transmission failure driving on the highway. We had it towed back to Joseph and they harassed the tow truck driver. I was given a loaner car that was half the size of my vehicle and then was told to bring that one back after 2 months as I was putting to many miles on it and given an even smaller vehicle as a loaner. They offered me an Equinox EV as a loaner which was not an acceptable option for me. I waited several weeks for information and had to show up in person to get any answers. The service department does not return phone calls or texts promptly or at all in my case. I had to escalate my complaints to the service manager Karl who was very good. Unfortunately, it took months to get parts for the car and I have instituted a buyback from GM as I don't trust the car will function properly. I bought the car (after waiting for the special order for over 4 months) on November 7th and on December 27th it was dead. And, even now that I have it back until the repurchase goes through, it does not drive like it did. I am very dissapointed in the car and the service at Joseph. It's pretty sad too, as I had a 2015 Traverse that was a great car and a total workhorse. They have lost me as a customer at this point, and not just Joseph, GM as a company. More
