After reaching out through e I’ve been on the search for a pre-owned Subaru for a few weeks and was suggested by a friend to check out Johnson Subaru. After reaching out through email I was quickly contacted by Maria then by Ivan by text. I was surprised how easy Ivan and his team made this experience. Mark showed me several vehicles on a terribly hot day and hung in there with me. After my purchase, Megan contacted me and helped me add the new vehicle (because Johnson Dealerships have partnered with Allstate!) I’d recommend this experience for anyone in the market for a new or pre-owned vehicle. More
First Time Subaru Buyers Michael Allen greeted us in the parking lot at Johnson Subaru of Cary. He stayed with us and made us his priority until we walked away happy customers Michael Allen greeted us in the parking lot at Johnson Subaru of Cary. He stayed with us and made us his priority until we walked away happy customers, and proud owners of a 2017 Subaru Outback. The entire team at Johnson Subaru was welcoming and more than accomidating. The car that we wanted did not appear to us to completely ready for sale (used 2017 Outback, that had not yet been cleaned and did not have complete info in the window) but they worked tirelessly to get it ready for us to drive out of the lot same day. Michael never let us feel like we were asking too many questions and was patient and professional throughout the entire day. Another great member of the team was Carly Ricker, she helped us through the financing process, and even when when decided to go with our own bank for financing she was fantastic with helping us pick an affordable maintenance plan. We are military, so we’ll probably move again before we purchase our next car. But our experience at Johnson Subaru has set the bar extremely high for all future dealerships! Thank you again Michael and the whole team at Johnson! We love our Outback! More

Received a call from Johnson Subaru offering to make a good offer if I would be interested in selling. I decided to see just what they would offer & was amazed at the great deal I received. For only $20 more per month than the payment I've been making, I purchased a 2018 Forester that included all the options & add-ons of my 2015, plus some additional options and of course, it is three years newer. I had checked prices on Kelley Blue Book web site before I went to Johnson, and the price I received for my Forester and what I paid for the new car were both very fair according to KBB. Chris Williams was our salesperson and he was exceptional - took the time to go over all the steps on the touch screen - set up Bluetooth on both of our phones, set the clock, and the other display options. We work with Michael Thompson in the Service department and he is terrific. More

Alright, now with my Story. Once upon a time, Subaru decided to bless North America with its finest piece of machine called the WRX STI Type RA while producing only 500 units for the U.S. and 75 for Canada. So, what does a Subie lover do? Indeed, he or she starts calling dealerships to secure his or her Type RA. So I started calling dealership in NC. After desperately calling everybody and realizing people either not knowing about this particular model or wanting to charge ten thousand dollar over the MSRP, I finally came across the Johnson Subaru of Cary. Once inquired, I was put directly in touch with Phill who not only knew exactly what I wanted, but was also a Subie driver himself. Long story short, Phill exceeded my expectations. He was constantly updating me with the status of my car on weekly basis. He was frank, honest, and a true professional; making it hands down the best sales manager I have ever dealt with. Once my car arrived at the dealership, I was put in touch with Patrick with whom I had the pleasure of completing my paperwork/delivery. He is quite a gentleman who did his very best and ensured all the accessories I requested were ordered and installed prior to my arrival at the dealership. Delivery day couldn't be any better. You know that gut-feeling that some us get when walking into a dealership resulted from the fear of being pressured or ripped off? Well, for the first time ever (my 11th car so far), I didn't have that feeling for two reasons. First, I was buying an RA, duh! And secondly, the Johnson Crew (Phill and Patrick) made me so comfortable. When I got there, Patrick was waiting with a big smile and displayed my RA. Meanwhile, Phill who was on his off on Saturday stopped by just to say hi and to hangout. How cool???? While the paperwork was being processed, we all sat down and chatted for a while like a little family. Yes, that's right, these guys are that Cool! BTW, I'm in the Army, and would highly recommend these folks to my fellow brothers and sisters in arms. Thank you Johnson Subaru for being awesome and keeping your customers happy. Amir More
Either their way or the highway I was shopping around for a 2018 Subaru Forester XT Touring for about a month in the NC area. I had test drove it initially at Southern State Subaru i I was shopping around for a 2018 Subaru Forester XT Touring for about a month in the NC area. I had test drove it initially at Southern State Subaru in Raleigh. But the salesman was very pushy and was not being up front. So I started looking elsewhere as far as Greensboro (Capital) and Windston-Salem (Flow). First Flow was interesting, I told the Sales Manager how much Southern State was willing to sell the car to me and he said and I quote "you should take that great deal!" That was end of that conversation. Then I contacts Capital but they were all just talking but no substance. Finally, I received a call from Johnson Subaru by Ciara, apparently, she sounded like the sales person but I think she was Inside Sales. She said Johnson would either match or beat any competitors prices on the Forester. I told her that I needed an answer soon as the Subaru's October o%APR on all new 2018 Forester and Outback in until the end of the month. It was 10/31, I called her and apparently she did send me the quote the day before but then I did not realize that the email went to my Spam folder. Then she told me the white 2018 Forster XT Touring that I was looking for was sold the day before. Then the following day, I checked Johnson Subaru website and saw that the car that I wanted to purchase was still listed as new vehicle for sale. Not only that, Subaru extended the 0% APR promotion until end of November 2018. So I called Ciara again and she said that the website had not updated yet but it's sold. But then I discovered that there were actually two in stock; one with brown interior (sold) and black interior. She said the latter car was still available. I told her that I would be interested in that one as well. She then said the sales manager told her that if I can get to the dealer that day, he would honor the $4800 off the 2018 Forester XT Touring. So after work, I drove from Chapel Hill to Cary (took almost an hour with traffic) and met with Chris.I then put down the deposit as he requested on the car and told him I would pick up the car that Friday (it was Wednesday). I also discuss the trade in of my white 2012 Mazda Speed3 Touring with Tech Package. Before I headed to Johnson, I looked up the value car as a trade in. In excellent condition with 86K miles, trade in value was approximately $10850. However, even though Chris seemed impressed with the condition of the car when he saw it, he said Johnson was willing to offer only $10K. I said I needed more since it was well taken care of and it's below the value that was showing on NADA. But he said that because I was getting such a good deal on the new car, I could not get additional for trade in. I was okay at the time but the next day, I was having second toughts so I emailed Chris. I received a response from Ciara instead and she was stating that Chris was off that day and that she checked with her manager and that they can't go any higher on the trade in. Then she stated on the email that the Sales Manager told her that I can either purchase the car at with $10K trade in on the Speed3 or they will refund my deposit -- I felt like basically, Johnson was telling me either their way or the highway. So I requested for my deposit to be returned. I then asked Ciara that I needed to speak with the sales manager but she never responded nor the Sales Manager contacted me even though I had provider her with my mobile number. Argument they were using was I was getting a good deal so they needed to short change my trade in that was in above average condition. I said, no thanks, I don't need the Forester now and if I do change my mind again in getting it, Johnson just lost my business and any referrals from any of my colleagues and friends. Bye Mr. Johnson, have a nice day! More
