I came in to have my vehicle's oil changed and asked them to check out a strong smell of anti-freeze. Long story short the heater core was going out and it was going to cost $900 to fix it. The service person Jon H. was so kind to me because he knew how upsetting it was for me especially because my extended warranty didn't cover it. He went and spoke with managers and sales people and told me to come back the next day and speak with Jayne (recommended sales person). I believe that this service person went above and beyond to help me find a solution to my problem and was so kind to me and caring...I was amazed. The next day I came back, early in the morning, and Jon greeted me, after being paged, and told me that Jayne would be with me shortly. It was 15 minutes before the sales staff was on duty so I didn't mind waiting. She had just gotten there. Between Jayne and the finance person, Jeff, they worked SO hard to get me into another vehicle that I could afford and would like. I was truely impressed, this time, with the dealership that it renewed my faith in them and I will relay my experience with my friends and family. It was so nice to be treated so kindly by everyone.....especially Jon H. (service) and Jeff (finance). This was customer service at it's finest!!! More
I've gone to John Hirsh Cambridge motors for oil changes for years. I've never had a bad experience. I have had other services too and I think the people who gave bad reviews MAY have caught them on a bad day or were experiencing a bad day themselves and were taking it out on JHCM. More
I needed to have one screw removed to facilitate the changing of the windshield. The bracket on the A pillar was bending as the screw was removed, so Safelite suggested I take it to the dealer and have changing of the windshield. The bracket on the A pillar was bending as the screw was removed, so Safelite suggested I take it to the dealer and have them remove this screw. They removed the screw (and bent the bracket anyway.) For this removal of one screw I was charged 60 dollars! Not to mention I waited for 45 minutes for the service. When I got the bill it said the original estimate for this service was $103. Talk about out of line pricing. This happened just two weeks after they overfilled my son's car during an oil change. There are some issues at this dealership. More
I called in because I had a nail in a tire. They checked the tire and couldn't fix it because of where the nail was. They put the car up on the stand and checked all tires. They took me into to the shop a the tire and couldn't fix it because of where the nail was. They put the car up on the stand and checked all tires. They took me into to the shop and showed me that 2 more tires were ready to blow. They explained everything thoroughly before completing any work. They gave me options and did not push anything on me. They treated me respectfully. The work was done quickly and efficiently. More
We have taken our Honda Pilot for service since we bought it over a year ago from John Hirsch's. Everytime I call to set up an appointment I have been able to schedule it within a day. Our car was in for a scheduled oil change that took 1.5hrs. No communucation regarding reason for delay. My daughter was waiting there til service was completed. Dad called Hirsch wondering what was going on and how much longer it would be. Within minutes of the phone call, the car was done. Was there some miscommunication in service that customer was waiting? She did ask once at the counter how much longer it would be. The gal said she didn't have any paper work there so it wasn't done yet. Maybe further checking "in back" would have made been a better followup. We all are busy. Alittle consideration of customer time would be appreciated. More
I brought my granddaughters van in to have the CHECK TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM light reset . So I went to Cambridge Motors were I bought the van to have it reset. The service person told me that it would take 30 to 45 minutes and mentioned nothing of a charge. After 1&1/2 hrs a service person came and told me my van was ready and that it was $48.00 for the work. But they were nice enough to give my handicapped wheelchair bound granddaughter a free ballon,( or was that a $48.00 ballon? you make the call?) I later called Tires Plus and asked what they charged to do the work, he said that they do it FREE OF CHARGE . More

showed up early for service.. was instantly told that my 2012 with 30k miles needed a brake fluid change based on the color of the fluid.. declined that service. went inside told attendant I would be waitin 2012 with 30k miles needed a brake fluid change based on the color of the fluid.. declined that service. went inside told attendant I would be waiting for my vehicle.. they said 2 hours they were busy.. this is at 3. at 5 I ask the attendant is my vehicle ready or were are we at with it.. they pull the invoice off their desk and say it's ready.. the invoice was printed at 4.. I waited an extra hour when I didn't have too.. 1st part of the bad experience.. the 2nd part.. was told we have a free year of oil changes when we purchased the car.. "it'll bein thesystem just mention it when you come in"... was it in the system "NO" it was not.. the sales rep was "bothered" that she was asked about it.. well sorry to waste your time after the fact... no one explained what they did with the car.. we still have an issue with the power window.. don't even know if they looked at it.. horrible... just horrible.. glad this happened before I replaced my 2nd vehicle.. dodged that bullet.. will not return. Always get great service from Chris and the others with servicing our 2010 Equinox. This time was no exception. They are always so friendly and do an excellent job! They always want to know if I have any concerns with my car over and above what I have scheduled. Last time I was scheduled for an oil change and mentioned that I was having issues with the tire pressure sensor being too sensitive. They fixed it and it has been great ever since. This time we were in for an oil change and tranny flush and mentioned that someone keyed the passenger side of our car. Buffed the scratch out while they worked on our car. It looks GREAT! They are always helping with keeping up on what is needed for routine maintenance and make sure that we get the coupon pricing. We bought our Equinox from John Hirsch in Cambridge too and WE LOVE IT! We would definitely recommend buying and servicing your vehicle with them. We feel like THEY CARE!!!! More
