What happened to customer service?? I have purchased 5new Toyotas since 1992 from Machens Toyota. Up until I purchased my last Toyota Highlander in 2013 I would have given this dealersh I have purchased 5new Toyotas since 1992 from Machens Toyota. Up until I purchased my last Toyota Highlander in 2013 I would have given this dealership 5 stars. At one time we had 3 Highlanders in our family. All was good. Sometime between 2013 and 2015the dealership sold to a conglomerate out of Arkansas. I immediately noticed a difference in the way I was treated on the first visit. First I noticed that almost all of the service advisors I knew were gone. The salesman that I purchased the car from used to stop by and visit with me as I waited for my car to be serviced. He disappeared soon after as well. I would call the new service advisors as surly at best and it was obvious that they have been ordered to sell parts whether you need them or not. They assume you are ignorant of car maintenance. I complained but NOONE from Machens ever called to explain themselves. Customer Service does not exist. Bottom line they know I am right. I took my car to Jefferson City to another Toyota dealer and found what I was looking for. Old fashioned small town courtesy and HONESTY. I removed any sign from my car that advertised for Machens, as I am embarrassed for anyone to know that I bought it there. I or any member of my family will will never buy from Machens again. Buyer be ware! More
